I am really, REALLY, happy you enjoyed the framed MR2 advertising! ♥️
It was created with the idea of making you smile and probably the package arrived in the right moment, considering the unlucky weekend events with the TT 😣
You spent a lot of time and money on that car, so you can't give up now, you know right?
Take your time, do your research, curse if necessary, but continue the job: I wanna see that fucking car hitting the road again with you in the driver seat 😉💪🏻🛠️

Keep going Sarah, you'll get there! Just replaced the clutch on my 225 TT project. Just over 18 hours including time to clean everything and of course replace the engine rear oil seal and the transmission input shaft seal. None if it was particularly difficult, it's just that there are a lot of parts to come off before dropping the transmission.

Fantic1980, Teeter Tot is cool BUT, for true masochism, get an A4, 3.0 V6, Quattro! Audi’s as a whole are hair pulling money pits. But me having owned 7 Bimmers and 2 Mercs I figured I was up for an 02, A4 3.0 Quattro? NYET! I am too stubborn to let that car get the best of me! I have the answer, a massive amount of Bailey.s Irish Cream, warshteiner dark beer and the half gallon size of Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey whiskey. I’ll win!

    Sarah,
I bought a 05 Jetta GLI MK4 about 2 years ago when we lived in Tucson, it had a ton of issues. The MK4 Jetta is very similar to the TT. This was around the same time we found your UA-cam channel. Your channel was inspirational when I wanted to push my Jetta off of Mount Lemmon, weekly...
We are rooting for you and the TT !!!

Arizonian here Sarah as well; 1 year ago I got a 00 TT and that car didn't saw much love in its life. But my 5 year old daughter loved when I took her to school on the "green avocado" as she calls it and my 3 yo twins enjoyed any trip on it. Your videos on Tater Tots keeps us motivated to also fix our avocado wich has been parked right now because it needs an exhaust manifold gasket. Also you are an awesome influenze on my girls that now they want to help me whenever Im working at any project at home kudos to you for that chica, keep the videos on Tater Tots flowing and very happy that you wont give up on it.

Bought an engine hoist and did it right there in the farm yard by myself over a weekend hours from home shop. These projects are a labor of love and you got this! Had a 2002 VW Beetle turbo with way to much to list. 480 hp on nitrous to the front wheels, was always breaking motor mounts, and blew 2 diffs totally destroying the transmission case each time. Fun times, until it got stolen back in 07. Current project is an Acura TSX. I know I'm late to the game but keep it up, don't give up. Loving the channel.

I've had a 6-sp 2001 225HP Quattro TT for ... 18 years now. got about 150K miles as my daily driver, and honestly, no major service required (other than timing belt, fluid changes, brakes, tires). It even managed to take me through a blizzard on icy roads in Oregon for hundreds of miles, while being only moderately scary :).

Hey Sarah, I got my TT back together only to find the temp and fuel gauges are cooked - and not just the motors, its the chip that controls them. These TT's fight you every step of the way, but stay strong, go work on something fun then come back to the TT. Getting the engine and gearbox out is not that difficult, the whole front end comes off so you can drop the engine onto a pallet or trolley and pull it out - you don't have to take it out the top. I've seen plenty of people do it on their own, just be methodical and take the time you need. Go Sarah !

I am sure it's been mentioned but the DMF has a tendency to have a higher failure rate, just be glad it did not explode. When replacing mine on a VW golf it was recommended to move to a SMF and step it up a notch. I am actually not surprised it failed on the TT with all your improvements in performance you done. I know you've struggle with this car but its come along ways and you've done a great job!!!

Well Sarah- I feel your pain. Having owned an A6 turbo and an A8, they are great cars but a major pain to work on. And there is no way around it- to do anything, the front has to come off. On the bright side, it will be great when it is finished. Oh! and cudos for the safety wire. My boss gave me a can years ago, and it always comes in handy. Airplane or not.

My first thought was to get rid of it but you are completely correct to keep it for the reasons you said. It must be possible for someone, other than an 'Authorised' Audi repair centre, to fix it. Once they overcome the fear of it. Looking forward to seeing the progress. Cheers.

I put a clutch in my nephews WRX with a jack and four jack stands. I did have access to air so I was able to use my air tools. Got her done in about eleven hours. I think the book time was ten hours. It was a monster. Good luck with the TT clutch. I wish I could help you but I might be distracted.

I have a 2006 Audi TT mark 1. Here in the UK and yes to change the front bulb you have to take off the whole front of the car
..crazy. (near side) I've changed the other bulb without having to do that on the offside. Great car although mine's only the 180hp single exhaust.

screws through the round pipe will allow the clamp a backing and help prevent slip out under boost. You can use rivets if you like. the hose holds them in and they will not fall through the metal into the intake stream.
