It's so simple, quick and cheap to solve this... Silicone tube! Wash/clean the matting surfaces, let it dry. Apply a bead of your favorite brand of sealant (silicone, PU, etc.). Between the adjoining mating surface of the affected panels. Do similar for the screws. Remove the screws, clean the matting surfaces, apply the sealant to the base and thread. Put them back. Done! Enjoy! ;-) PS: You need a ladder and about 30 minutes! ;-)
Got the exact same issue in works van that carries timber .. only noticed it when I seen mould growing on the timber door panels at rear .. Shockingly bad build quality .. And with living in Scotland comes even more Rain ☔️

Poor roof rack fittings is the problem
I solved the problem by usint bault sealing lik loctite, because the water is dripping through the thread of the bault
