I am thrilled that you discussed this topic. God created me to love nature and animals: I've been a farm gal all my life. Recently I've observed an alarming increase of invasive species. Here in Ohio these 'plants' are aggressively multiplying and killing our timber. My daughter commented that 'it's almost like they have a brain'. Without trees we will be in a crisis. Saying that, I truly feel we are in the last days. Is this, in part, what God meant when He said in Revelation that 'men destroyed the earth' ?
Why don’t you do any full length conference talks anymore? I loved all the presentations this channel has done in the past and would like to get more in depth information on these subjects as you used to give in the past. 15 to 20 minutes don’t do a lot of these subjects justice.
As imaginary as random evolution is , science cannot force matter into life no matter how hard they try and are far from doing it , and that’s not random at all ,give them all the help they need to do it and than I will believe it . It’s easy to make such claims without the need to back it up .

This episode has given me a few things to think about. For example, what would have happened if Eve had not taken the forbidden fruit? Would she and Adam have continued to live perfect lives and then populate the world with perfect people doing only perfect things? I'd blame Adam and Eve specifically for cursing us all to a life of sin, but it sounds like this was going to happen either way. Adam and Eve were perfect, and one of the first things they did with their shiny new naked lives is commit a sin that cursed everyone forever. (What a way to get a universe kicked off!) Given what Adam and Eve did, anyone between their time and ours could have committed the same sin, leaving us right where we are now. At least it would have been done by members of our species. Can you imagine how upset animals, plants and the ground would be to find out that they were also cursed forever because of an action by someone who isn't even of their kind? Come to think about it, we don't get past the first half of the first book of the Bible before we, the animals, plants and the ground have been cursed to a life of sin forever, and all humanity (save for Noah and his family) is wiped off the map. That makes me think that none of this works in the first place without original sin. It would be cool if we could see the version of the Bible that God would have inspired if we hadn't immediately screwed ourselves forever the minute we were created. The only thing we have from that version of the Bible is to not eat the forbidden fruit.

The tree of the Garden you shall eat. Meaning they ate the unforbidden tree outside the garden. They left the safety of the garden to be tempted. And once they had were not permitted back in, is the way I read this.
Hello, I have a question for you about Mahabarata, we have a story about extraordinary technology and about space wars as well as about Vishnu (in physical form it may be a fallen angel shining) I don't know I fully believe in creationism because it makes more sense than a billion years I also know that the truth about mankind can only be found in the scriptures when I read the Mahabarata I did not know what this text describes, can it be explained as a piece that has been embellished quite heavily by the modern people, or does it describe actual events on earth?
Very good and inspiring conference of Dr. Wise. He honors his name. Well, I would like to add some thinking about the original creation and the relation of man and animals. Genesis 2:19 says that God brought all the animals to Adam to see what he could call them. And he did but no help for him was found... I believe that Adam was capable of communicating with animals and ask their help for his work in the garden. Genesis 2:15 says that God put the man to dress and keep the garden. I believe that animals were appointed to do the heavy work. Ape-like creatures would be capable of handle tools to dig, plow, carry bulks, and so on. But when the curse fell upon creation all these abilities were lost. In Genesis 3:23 God put the man to till the ground but now without the help of the animals. What a curse for that would be a heavy and burdensome work. However animals conserve vestiges of certain abilities that give me credibility to this idea. I recently saw a video of a chimpanzee whose care giver was absent and he by himself took the brush and began to wash the floor and the windows. Amazing. If this world is wonderful, what a ultra-wonderful world will be when God restore all things. Alleluyah!!!
It would not be honoring God to think that God created a unique serpent in order to deceive Eve. This is why, just as the creation of a single serpent (not male and female as the other animals) and with the same intelligence as man, does not fit in with creation, so I reject the fables built up around "fallen Angels*. I always thought he was fair.....everybody got some. If you don't think it grieved His heart to punish His creation you may not be a parent. When a parent says No Don't! it's usually in the child's best interest. God cannot (not =NOT!) abide sin. It is abhorrent to His nature. Sin is in complete opposition to God's will. God created an ammendment a back door entrance. He made a Way for us who are sinful from birth to be with Him. John 3:16 God gave an extension of Himself to be the sacrifice for our sin. God allowed 1 creation to suffer for the other because everyone in His kingdom matters. Chances are your mind is made up🤷🏾♀️, but I'm telling you God is love and His love is perfect. 1 Corinthians 13 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. While Satan sinned first by tricking the woman, we do not know that he fell prior to his deception of the woman. He was cursed first, then the woman, and then the man. This is the order of the wrongdoing as Moshe recorded it.
We do know that Satan fell before the temptation of Eve because Jesus himself told us so. Being cast out is the only reason he was there to tempt anyone. The order is Adam, then physical creation. Adam was given dominion over physical life, not Satan. "When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned." Rom 5:12 Adam was the one commanded by God not to eat before Eve was created "God commanded THE MAN (Adam)." Whereas Eve sinned against her husband, Adam sinned against God. Also, the order you give is the order of the severity of punishment, not the order of accountability. Adam's sin was greater than both Satan's and Eve's, so he bore the greatest punishment and was therefore addressed last. One simply needs to ask, "what if Adam had NOT eaten, but instead followed God's command?" To see where God places the greatest accountability, and it's not on Satan nor Eve. Had Adam obeyed Satan's will would have been utterly thwarted and perhaps Eve could have been restored to her proper place. As Jesus told the Apostles, Adam, through Christ, had authority over Satan but ceded it rather than exercising it thus the "fall of man." A condition that persist to this very day. And believers are told, "resist Satan, and he will flee from you." Satan has only the authority you give to him. Adam's responsibility was to resist, to assert his Godly authority, to keep his domain and glorify God, but he did not, and often we don't either. But each of us, if we are willing, can in Christ.
@@leroybrown9143 Yeshuah said, "I was beholding the Adversary, as lightning from the heaven having fallen” (YLT) Of course Yeshuah saw the fall of Satan. He was with the Father. In that statement, He doesn't explain the timetable of Satan's fall. I did not intend to give the order of the severity of the judgment. I was saying, that Moshe lists the order in which each did wrong, first the angel, then the woman, then the man. In that same order, God curses the three. My original comment was about when Satan fell. I question if it was before the creation, before the garden, before God communicated His directives about the Tree of Knowledge to the man? We only know that the angel (serpent) was judged for deceiving the woman thus forcing the man to make a terrible choice. I think we should consider that Moshe gave us everything we need to know about the fall of Satan, the woman, and the man in that order of occurrence. There is no other text that suggests when Satan fell.

@@marcsalyer9725 He was cast out of the presence of God because pride entered his heart as a result of his created beauty and his position above the angels and he rebelled, "Through your widespread trade you were filled with violence, and you sinned. So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God, and I expelled you, guardian cherub, from among the fiery stones." But we agree, we don't know if he was cast down days, weeks, hours, centuries before. When is probably moot, before creation week it appears there was no such thing as time, not in the way man marks time at least.
@@marcsalyer9725 True, we don't know the when, but we do know that Satan's great sin is pride and that he was acting in pride in heaven, leading a rebellion against God so great that a multitude of angels were cast out with him and reserved for a day of judgement. It appears that his temptation of Eve was part of a pattern of behavior he was already practicing. It's difficult to imagine first tempting the woman and then tempting the angels isn't it?

Did the blood sucking mosquito appear out of nowhere or was it created that way ? 5. If the curse on the ground was literally a change in the chemical composition of the soil how is it the the Lord promises so many blessing of rich abundance in the Land of Promise ?

The universe is perishing, so for your interpretation to be valid you would have to believe that the whole earth was created incorruptible but the universe it's in was created to perish.

I don't think there is any indication in the Bible that answers that question, but some theologians and scholars theorize their time in the Garden of Eden before they sinned may have been around 130 years, but that is strictly theoretical.

Well done, I would only add that cursing the creation demonstrates God's mercy to mankind, allowing each man time to repent of individual sin. But for this mercy, all flesh would perish. You can see another demonstration of this mercy with Cain, where God cursed the earth and spread the burden of Cain's sin across all mankind, and by extension, all life on earth.

Was the curse a direct punishment from God, or was it inevitable because of the fall(of the King)? Was God not just revealing the obvious results of disloyalty? That is, is the curse not a legitimate and natural consequence of breaking the law of God? Just as you would certainly 'be cursed' if you were to break a physical law, however instant, slow or brief the ordeal.
I believe i was giving the gift of interpretation (but words are cheap these days) so I will let you judge for yourself...... “Cursed above the cattle” interp: Here is where the animal (cattle) sacrifice must have been introduced, which are slaughtered and become sin. Also i feel Adam could command things to grow (having dominion over all) and lost that “power” after curse. The water absorbed some of the electromagnetic information of the earth and its inhabitants during the flood. This information was manifested through all life after the flood, cursed. The water before the flood first absorbed the spectrum of the Holy Spirit who hovered over the waters in Genesis, eternal life. The whole point God is always making and somehow we always seem to miss is summed up in one question we all will have to answer for on judgement day and that is this: Did you spend the life that was gifted you by the Creator working for love or working for money? It is no coincidence that the book of Job is the same word we use for job, as in "Get a job!" Employment and Occupation are military terms. So if we are employed with public jobs exactly who are we all employed against and exactly what are we really occupying that is obviously not ours? I agree with most all of your descriptions, here but there is one thing I respectfully must share. Your premise is that Adam, was made " KING" over the Garden. I agree in one sense, he and Eve were given dominion over all of the earth. Where I disagree is in his title. The title KING I feel is misused here and portrays, and an Earthly government. Please allow me to explain. Adam was a SON of God. He was a created being, as seen in Genesis 2, and then confirmed in (Luke 3:38) . God did not establish "Rule of Law" under a Kingship in the Garden, it was a Family relationship . " God walked with them.... " This is also seen i other places in Scripture. An example of this is in Lev_26:12 "And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people". God said, He would walk among them, He would be there GOD and they would be His people, like in the Garden before the Fall. This is also echoed in Jer_11:4 "Which I commanded your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying, Obey my voice, and do them, according to all which I command you: so shall ye be my people, and I will be your God:" BUT in the course of time, as the people grew weary, they wanted to be like the NATIONS and wanted a KIng... see Samuel Chapter 8. Finally this sentiment is concluded, in the Book of Revelation, where Jesus is KING of KINGS and LORD of LORDS. YES, He does become KING over the KINGS of the Earth. If we follow him and his ways, we as a people would be able to self govern so to speak. But when Jesus returns, He will Rule the Nations with a rod of iron. This is finalized in Revelation 21, Rev 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. Rev 21:24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honor into it. It is the SON of GOD, that reigned over the KINGS of the Earth. I know this seems like splitting hairs, but it is important to distinguish the roles of SONS of MAN, and SONS of GOD. Simply put Adam was created a Bene Ha Elohim, a SON of GOD, Paul tells us in second Timothy why, ? 1Ti_2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. You see ADAM was not in the transgression, it was NOT THE SIN OF ADAM.... but because of the deception of the Bride. By this, we can conclude that Adam died for His Bride. The same picture as Jesus dyeing for his Bride. Next we see, that all of humanity was BEGOTTEN after the FALL,. they are..., We are, the SONS OF MAN. Gen_5:3 And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth: Seth was begotten in the Image of Fallen MAN. We all are begotten in the Image of Fallen Man, Except One. Jesus was begotten, as the Son of MAN, but through MARY. But He did NOT come through the seed of MAN. He came through he SEED OF the WOMAN see Gen 3:15. He was conceived through the Holy Spirit. This is why He, Jesus, is the SON of GOD. This is why when we accept the atonement of HIs blood, ie the sacrifice of the flesh, we can receive the Spirit of GOD. ie the Holy Spirit. We then become, the Sons of GOD, Joh_1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Therefore, we are restored back to our original position. Now we wait on the New Heaven and the restoration of the New Jerusalem. Earthly KINGSHIP is irrelevant in the ultimate picture. JESUS said my KINGDOM IS NOT OF THIS WORLD. Now true, the Dominion of the Earth, was handed over to the Serpent, at the time of the Fall. This is the beginning of Earthly Kingships, ie Genesis 6, the Mighty men and the men of renown. Man's disobedience was the reason why God's curse was initiated. Our sin was like a key unlocking the locked door of consequence from God's promised curse. Our sin is the reason why man is cursed. Man sin is the cause of the curse. Adam was not a king but a caretaker.
Biology changed..but not as a punishment but as a natural consequence.. fruit was often used to describe works and trees were used to describe men roots genealogy.. God didn't want them to eat or partake of the tree because it would cause a change.. therefore natural consequences. Im still pondering what that all might be. What actually happened. Great video. Btw. a ufo commentator made the following argument. Humans have 23 chromosomes while apes have 24. (Humans 2 chromosome is twisted). Also, animals' genetic records that humans breed like dogs, horses, and cattle are much more diverse than animals in nature. The commentator who presented the data mentioned that humans' genetic records showed a similar trait. The argument is also made that humans cannot survive on the earth without technology, in particular fire and clothing. Temperature below 62 and 68 if wet will lead to hypothermia. Also, most plants and flesh require fire to cook them like most grains and beans. The commentator made the point the humans were created and either we escaped from a lab or we were left behind. With the release of UFO information in June, the Darwin model will collapse. Of course, this might be a great deception. We Christians have a short time to fight this argument.
I need to set some things straight here... Genesis 1v29 And God said, behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat (food). Genesis 1v30 says similarly regarding what animals and birds eat; "every green herb". So the curse did not change diet (we still eat fruit too). The curse of the serpent does not imply a curse on ALL animals; the hebrew words used do not say "above all" but mean "out of all"; the serpent is cursed out of all mute beasts (according to the original hebrew). The eating of animals was given by God to those who exited the ark. Also, after Noah sacrificed animals to God, God REVOKED his curse of the ground/earth. Also, death came because there were two specific trees within the garden of Eden; Gen 2v9 "...The tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil". They were free to eat from the tree of life until they were banished from Eden in Gen 3v24, where it also states God placed cherub and a moving flaming sword to guard the way to the tree of life.
So, sin caused the reality of thermodynamics. That is, had Adam not sinned, he would live forever, including all other living things? I am a young earth creationist, but this notion is obtusely stupid. It is the second death we are cautioned against.
The idea that the death sin brought was spiritual death is certainly an interpretation you can take, but then you have to justify why christ had to die a physical death for retribution of what was only spiritual death.
What changed was god had to create a hell, a bottomless pit. So the earth was expanded, from 3500 km radius to what we have today. The atmosphere could have been up to 300% thicker. I’ts light was limited to UVA. The Pacific Ocean was made as a result, the evident is in the lack of sedimentary deposits, its floor is granite and basalt. The land is covered in sediment yet the ocean floors have none. The higher level of oxygen allowed creatures to grow to large sizes. Sickness was reduced due to this atmosphere, sports scientist use hyperbaric chambers of 2 plus atmospheres with higher levels of oxygen to cure injuries. This is why the earth was flooded, the flood protected the atmosphere from the massive eruptions which created the oceans. This creation the ring of fire, possibly could have been the first stage, followed by the flood, sedimentary deposition layed down then the rapid expanse of the new oceans. Gold was liquified out of the ground and squeezed to the surface. The earth continued to expand for decades or centuries, up to around the creation of the Tower of Babel. The expansion triggered a rapid cooling event causing an ice age.

The purpose of the curse: I went to school with several farmers. When the rains fell just right and crops were booming, you could see their pride, like, "Look what I did!" When the rains didn't come and crops dried up in the field, they looked to God and humbled themselves. That's why God cursed the ground; for our sake.
Men always have been the head of the home. God designed that way. The biological arrangement leaves the women bearing the child and nursing it while the male works to support the family. It is the man's responsibility to provide for his dependants [not the woman's] and as such he is the decision maker. The question is: how is he to rule over his wife? there are two ways available: The way of the gentiles Luke 22.24-26 and the way of servant leadership. God was pointing out that her husband and human society would have a tendency to oppress those under authority rather than serve. Thus the wife [who is under her husband] would be constrained in her freedoms. Proverbs 31 indicates the women's potential as mans equal -If she can run a house of servants she can run a business but not as the main breadwinner-that is the man's role.
Yes, all angels including Satan were created perfect. It wasn't until after humans were created that he began to selfishly crave they worship him instead of their creator Jehovah God. Telling Eve "You positively will not die, but will be like God" was the first lie and likely when Satan actually first rebelled against God. Jesus called Satan "the father of the lie." This time with Eve in Eden was the first opportunity with any reason to lie (to fulfill selfish ambition.) (John 8:44) That one was a murderer when he began, and he did not stand fast in the truth, because truth is not in him. When he speaks the lie, he speaks according to his own disposition, because he is a liar and the father of the lie. "When he began" shows that Satan's rebellion occurred at the time of his first lie which also made him a manslayer because it brought about the deaths of Adam and Eve. Ezekiel 28 does reveal Satan as having been a cherub with a position assigned by God. It says vs 15 "You were faultless in your ways from the day you were created until unrighteousness was found in you." Thus, the angel who made himself Satan (which means "opposer") and devil (slanderer). The other angels who joined Satan in is rebellion and became demons did so during the time between the first lie and the Flood. Jude 6 speaks of "the angels who did not keep their original position but forsook their own proper dwelling place he has reserved with eternal bonds in dense darkness for the judgment of the great day." These eternal bonds are why they are referred to as "spirits in prison" 1 Peter 3:19-20 (Jesus) went and preached to the spirits in prison, 20 who had formerly been disobedient when God was patiently waiting in Noah’s day Notice their disobedience was "in Noah's day" before the Flood. Satan used the fruit to tempt Eve. What did he use to tempt angels? Angle means "messenger" and apparently God gave them ability to temporarily materialize a fleshly body and interact with humans. Angels ate with Abraham and Lot and one physically wrestled with Jacob. Satan tempted some angels to forsake their assigned duties and misuse their ability to materialize a body to enjoy life as a fleshly being and marry many women. Genesis 6:2 the sons of the true God began to notice that the daughters of men were beautiful. So they began taking as wives all whom they chose. At the Flood they had to abandon and dematerialize those bodies and God apparently took away their ability to materialize any more. That may be why they would subsequently possess some people who become involved in spiritism so they can have physical interactions again. Satan was still capable of entering heaven in the time of Job and was also "roving about the earth." (Job 1:6-7) Thus their final explusion from heaven had not occurred yet. (Rev 12:7-1s) And war broke out in heaven: Miʹcha·el and his angels battled with the dragon, and the dragon and its angels battled 8 but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them any longer in heaven. 9 So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him. 10 I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come to pass the salvation and the power and the Kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ, because the accuser of our brothers has been hurled down, who accuses them day and night before our God! 11 And they conquered him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their witnessing, and they did not love their souls even in the face of death. 12 On this account be glad, you heavens and you who reside in them! Woe for the earth and for the sea, because the Devil has come down to you, having great anger, knowing that he has a short period of time.” impugning
It wouldn't be good for sinful Human to live eternally. so sin is bad for us even without the curse from God. In fact God meant well for us to not live in sin but in repentance instead, that's why we need to remember (God reminded) pur sins.
That’s an interesting point that I had not considered before. Even without the curse, sin would have been really bad, perhaps there would have been even more suffering if people never grew old.
Which scenario makes the greater sense to you? 1. For reasons unspecified, a powerful and pre-existent entity ended eons of inactivity. It employed its previously unused powers to create a world. It populated it with various creatures, but selected one of them, humankind, to dominate the others, by virtue of its awareness of both self and creator. This gift of awareness backfired immediately, though it is unclear whether this was by intent or by accident. The entity blamed the humans for misusing the gift and punished them both by deliberately marring the idyllic nature of the original creation and by condemning them and their descendants to live in this new, harsh environment, with wild beasts, hard toil and the pains of childbirth becoming their lot. 2. For pretty evident reasons, many ancient cultures wondered about the harsh environment in which they (mostly) survived. They questioned, among other things, the existence of wild beasts, hard toil, and the pains of childbirth. When their children asked “Why?”, they needed to tell them something, even if it was a lie. “Yes dear, Uncle Ug wouldn’t have suffered much and now he’s gone to a better place in the stars” type of thing. In time, adults developed more mature versions of these lies to children. These stories became the tribal tradition, cared for and adapted as needed by the local authority figure - the shaman or witch doctor. They were the social glue that preserved the tribe’s identity. It took two new technologies - agriculture and writing - for these traditions to evolve into the first organised religions. Well?
@waitaminutedoggie Creating an automaton is not a monstrous act. Creating something that can suffer, into which you have designed weaknesses which not only cause suffering but which you yourself will eternally punish it for, that is monstrous. Think of it this way; supposedly his first creations broke his rules. Okay, if he didn't want that he could have wished them away in an instant and started again. Instead, he chose to "curse" them and (according to this video) impose suffering of all kinds on not just them but the whole natural world, creating terrible diseases and misery. If a human did this to any creature in its care we would call them a monster and a pyschopath. Imagine a man who treats his children this way, or his dog, or anything else. Would you praise his love and wisdom? No, you'd lock him up as a danger to society. Why make a soul suffer for eternity? To what end? It's deranged.
I seem to have a small disconnect with the "curse". The plot is that Adam and Eve were given a choice of life or death, when there was no choice. If anyone accepts the naturally rational thought of the situation, then God stood by as a pair of naked and recently created humans a disobeyed direct the command, and so the misery of death and suffering beyond understanding came upon billions of lives from then on. This sounds like it was intentional, not choice. The correct instigator approached Eve. How hard do you think it was to tempt the pair? Of all the cherubs, why this one? Because they had to sin, and this was a sure way. Yes, I'm saying it was purposeful. I think the origin of this debacle began with a less than perfect creation, because the quality of creation was accomplished by what was given through Christ to establish this outcome, imperfection. Everything degrades as a result. Satan degraded from majesty, to what has been humankind's worst enemy. And this has been purposeful. Something doesn't match with the expressed love of humankind. You can't have both of these Gods, but that is what is accepted, otherwise the God you worship is not sharing the entire story, only "what we need to know". I have questions, and 2000 years have passed after the greatest event in human history, outside of being created. Even this doesn't make sense. The silence speaks volumes. Satan told the ultimate lie, which included enough truth but out of context. A brilliant liar. It was true that God was holding back something, and his creation sensed it. What a set up this was. God knew the weakness of these first people, and planned it to happen this way.
What reward is there for creating something to worship you if you don't give them free will? The gift is to be created in God's image with free will, much like a human child is created and disobeys.

Like children they were warned of things not understood. Now do this with children, then introduce a very crafty adult and in no time the kids will fail the command. Context. Most of what humans understand of the Christian scriptures is out of context, and this is not unexpected. So let's converse on just one point: Satan was created by God as a special Cherub, and the result was known by the creator. Why this intention? Now wait a moment, the being God created specifically became the tempter. Not a coincidence. For a perfect God giving all these loving words and eventually his only son, these 2000 years do not fit in with the narrative. Something is wrong and we all know it. My belief is that God is one who designed, created, and can easily give death or everlasting life. As far as we need be concerned, he is almighty, even though he is not perfect as we understand. He couldn't have been. A perfect being can only create imperfection if intentionally. Christ could only produce the quality God introduced through his son. It was imperfect from the beginning. Nothing is actually as we envision perfect. Now things can make sense.
I can agree with all Dr Wise says except for his understanding of satan. In this he is not wise (pun intended). Dr Wise needs to get the wisdom of Scripture to understand what the satan is. As brief as I can be, this is my understanding from Scripture. Rev 12:9 indicates to us that Serpent, Devil, Satan are one of the same. This is to do with human nature that is in opposition to God. Serpent, Devil, Satan are terms used in personification for sin and the cause of sin. This is entirely human based. Note: Angels are immortal and do the will of God; they cannot be immortal sinners. Therefore the idea of a fallen (sinful) angel of God is an oxymoron. Wherever the terms, names, titles of Serpent, Satan, Devil are used, then look for the human connection. Jesus explains the origin of all sin and it come from within each one of us (Read Matt 15:10-20) The following passages can be read in support of the origin of sin; Jer 17:9; James 1:14,15; 1 Joh 2:16 Just as Jesus spoke in parables and many missed his spiritual message, so the Bible uses personification and so many will miss the spiritual message as it relates to human sin and therefore they are given over to believing fables, which the apostle Paul warns us against (2 Tim 4:4), and by the apostle Peter (2 Pet 1:16) God bless. PS. The apostle Paul introduces us to the expression; "the carnal mind" (Rom 8:7) I believe it is the carnal mind (Serpent) which is cursed in Gen 3:14. This is why the carnal mind is doomed by God not to exist in his Kingdom to be established on this Earth where there will be no more sin and death. Without the carnal mind, there can be no more sin.
Sure it is, unless you believe evolutionary nonsense or some of the other equally foolish ideas of how man and all life forms began on the earth and how we have all the things on this planet to make life even possible. I am thrilled that you discussed this topic. God created me to love nature and animals: I've been a farm gal all my life. Recently I've observed an alarming increase of invasive species. Here in Ohio these 'plants' are aggressively multiplying and killing our timber.
My daughter commented that 'it's almost like they have a brain'.

This episode has given me a few things to think about. For example, what would have happened if Eve had not taken the forbidden fruit? Would she and Adam have continued to live perfect lives and then populate the world with perfect people doing only perfect things? I'd blame Adam and Eve specifically for cursing us all to a life of sin, but it sounds like this was going to happen either way. Adam and Eve were perfect, and one of the first things they did with their shiny new naked lives is commit a sin that cursed everyone forever. (What a way to get a universe kicked off!) Given what Adam and Eve did, anyone between their time and ours could have committed the same sin, leaving us right where we are now. At least it would have been done by members of our species. Can you imagine how upset animals, plants and the ground would be to find out that they were also cursed forever because of an action by someone who isn't even of their kind?
Come to think about it, we don't get past the first half of the first book of the Bible before we, the animals, plants and the ground have been cursed to a life of sin forever, and all humanity (save for Noah and his family) is wiped off the map. That makes me think that none of this works in the first place without original sin. It would be cool if we could see the version of the Bible that God would have inspired if we hadn't immediately screwed ourselves forever the minute we were created. The only thing we have from that version of the Bible is to not eat the forbidden fruit.

Hello, I have a question for you about Mahabarata, we have a story about extraordinary technology and about space wars as well as about Vishnu (in physical form it may be a fallen angel shining) I don't know I fully believe in creationism because it makes more sense than a billion years I also know that the truth about mankind can only be found in the scriptures when I read the Mahabarata I did not know what this text describes, can it be explained as a piece that has been embellished quite heavily by the modern people, or does it describe actual events on earth?
Very good and inspiring conference of Dr. Wise. He honors his name. Well, I would like to add some thinking about the original creation and the relation of man and animals. Genesis 2:19 says that God brought all the animals to Adam to see what he could call them. And he did but no help for him was found... I believe that Adam was capable of communicating with animals and ask their help for his work in the garden. Genesis 2:15 says that God put the man to dress and keep the garden. I believe that animals were appointed to do the heavy work. Ape-like creatures would be capable of handle tools to dig, plow, carry bulks, and so on. But when the curse fell upon creation all these abilities were lost. In Genesis 3:23 God put the man to till the ground but now without the help of the animals. What a curse for that would be a heavy and burdensome work. However animals conserve vestiges of certain abilities that give me credibility to this idea. I recently saw a video of a chimpanzee whose care giver was absent and he by himself took the brush and began to wash the floor and the windows. Amazing. If this world is wonderful, what a ultra-wonderful world will be when God restore all things. Alleluyah!!!
It would not be honoring God to think that God created a unique serpent in order to deceive Eve. This is why, just as the creation of a single serpent (not male and female as the other animals) and with the same intelligence as man, does not fit in with creation, so I reject the fables built up around "fallen Angels*. While Satan sinned first by tricking the woman, we do not know that he fell prior to his deception of the woman. He was cursed first, then the woman, and then the man. This is the order of the wrongdoing as Moshe recorded it.
We do know that Satan fell before the temptation of Eve because Jesus himself told us so. Being cast out is the only reason he was there to tempt anyone.
The order is Adam, then physical creation. Adam was given dominion over physical life, not Satan. "When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned." Rom 5:12
Adam was the one commanded by God not to eat before Eve was created "God commanded THE MAN (Adam)." Whereas Eve sinned against her husband, Adam sinned against God. Also, the order you give is the order of the severity of punishment, not the order of accountability. Adam's sin was greater than both Satan's and Eve's, so he bore the greatest punishment and was therefore addressed last. One simply needs to ask, "what if Adam had NOT eaten, but instead followed God's command?" To see where God places the greatest accountability, and it's not on Satan nor Eve. Had Adam obeyed Satan's will would have been utterly thwarted and perhaps Eve could have been restored to her proper place.
As Jesus told the Apostles, Adam, through Christ, had authority over Satan but ceded it rather than exercising it thus the "fall of man." A condition that persist to this very day. And believers are told, "resist Satan, and he will flee from you." Satan has only the authority you give to him. Adam's responsibility was to resist, to assert his Godly authority, to keep his domain and glorify God, but he did not, and often we don't either. But each of us, if we are willing, can in Christ.

In that statement, He doesn't explain the timetable of Satan's fall. I did not intend to give the order of the severity of the judgment. I was saying, that Moshe lists the order in which each did wrong, first the angel, then the woman, then the man. In that same order, God curses the three. My original comment was about when Satan fell. I question if it was before the creation, before the garden, before God communicated His directives about the Tree of Knowledge to the man? We only know that the angel (serpent) was judged for deceiving the woman thus forcing the man to make a terrible choice. I think we should consider that Moshe gave us everything we need to know about the fall of Satan, the woman, and the man in that order of occurrence. There is no other text that suggests when Satan fell.

But we agree, we don't know if he was cast down days, weeks, hours, centuries before.

If the curse on the ground was literally a change in the chemical composition of the soil how is it the the Lord promises so many blessing of rich abundance in the Land of Promise ?

I don't think there is any indication in the Bible that answers that question, but some theologians and scholars theorize their time in the Garden of Eden before they sinned may have been around 130 years, but that is strictly theoretical.

I agree with most all of your descriptions, here but there is one thing I respectfully must share. Your premise is that Adam, was made " KING" over the Garden. I agree in one sense, he and Eve were given dominion over all of the earth. Where I disagree is in his title. The title KING I feel is misused here and portrays, and an Earthly government. Please allow me to explain. Adam was a SON of God. He was a created being, as seen in Genesis 2, and then confirmed in (Luke 3:38) . God did not establish "Rule of Law" under a Kingship in the Garden, it was a Family relationship . " God walked with them.... " This is also seen i other places in Scripture. An example of this is in Lev_26:12 "And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people". God said, He would walk among them, He would be there GOD and they would be His people, like in the Garden before the Fall. This is also echoed in Jer_11:4 "Which I commanded your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying, Obey my voice, and do them, according to all which I command you: so shall ye be my people, and I will be your God:" BUT in the course of time, as the people grew weary, they wanted to be like the NATIONS and wanted a KIng... see Samuel Chapter 8. Finally this sentiment is concluded, in the Book of Revelation, where Jesus is KING of KINGS and LORD of LORDS. YES, He does become KING over the KINGS of the Earth. If we follow him and his ways, we as a people would be able to self govern so to speak. But when Jesus returns, He will Rule the Nations with a rod of iron. This is finalized in Revelation 21, Rev 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

Man's disobedience was the reason why God's curse was initiated. Our sin was like a key unlocking the locked door of consequence from God's promised curse. Our sin is the reason why man is cursed. Man sin is the cause of the curse. Adam was not a king but a caretaker.

Genesis 1v29 And God said, behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat (food).
Genesis 1v30 says similarly regarding what animals and birds eat; "every green herb".
So the curse did not change diet (we still eat fruit too).
The curse of the serpent does not imply a curse on ALL animals; the hebrew words used do not say "above all" but mean "out of all"; the serpent is cursed out of all mute beasts (according to the original hebrew).
The eating of animals was given by God to those who exited the ark. Also, after Noah sacrificed animals to God, God REVOKED his curse of the ground/earth.
Also, death came because there were two specific trees within the garden of Eden; Gen 2v9 "...The tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil".
They were free to eat from the tree of life until they were banished from Eden in Gen 3v24, where it also states God placed cherub and a moving flaming sword to guard the way to the tree of life.

The idea that the death sin brought was spiritual death is certainly an interpretation you can take, but then you have to justify why christ had to die a physical death for retribution of what was only spiritual death.

The purpose of the curse: I went to school with several farmers. When the rains fell just right and crops were booming, you could see their pride, like, "Look what I did!" Yes, all angels including Satan were created perfect. It wasn't until after humans were created that he began to selfishly crave they worship him instead of their creator Jehovah God. Telling Eve "You positively will not die, but will be like God" was the first lie and likely when Satan actually first rebelled against God. Jesus called Satan "the father of the lie." This time with Eve in Eden was the first opportunity with any reason to lie (to fulfill selfish ambition.)
(John 8:44) That one was a murderer when he began, and he did not stand fast in the truth, because truth is not in him. When he speaks the lie, he speaks according to his own disposition, because he is a liar and the father of the lie.
"When he began" shows that Satan's rebellion occurred at the time of his first lie which also made him a manslayer because it brought about the deaths of Adam and Eve.
Ezekiel 28 does reveal Satan as having been a cherub with a position assigned by God. It says vs 15 "You were faultless in your ways from the day you were created until unrighteousness was found in you." Thus, the angel who made himself Satan (which means "opposer") and devil (slanderer).
The other angels who joined Satan in is rebellion and became demons did so during the time between the first lie and the Flood.
Jude 6 speaks of "the angels who did not keep their original position but forsook their own proper dwelling place he has reserved with eternal bonds in dense darkness for the judgment of the great day."
These eternal bonds are why they are referred to as "spirits in prison"
1 Peter 3:19-20 (Jesus) went and preached to the spirits in prison, 20 who had formerly been disobedient when God was patiently waiting in Noah’s day
Notice their disobedience was "in Noah's day" before the Flood. Satan used the fruit to tempt Eve. What did he use to tempt angels? Angle means "messenger" and apparently God gave them ability to temporarily materialize a fleshly body and interact with humans. Angels ate with Abraham and Lot and one physically wrestled with Jacob. Satan tempted some angels to forsake their assigned duties and misuse their ability to materialize a body to enjoy life as a fleshly being and marry many women.
Genesis 6:2 the sons of the true God began to notice that the daughters of men were beautiful. So they began taking as wives all whom they chose.
At the Flood they had to abandon and dematerialize those bodies and God apparently took away their ability to materialize any more. That may be why they would subsequently possess some people who become involved in spiritism so they can have physical interactions again.
Satan was still capable of entering heaven in the time of Job and was also "roving about the earth." (Job 1:6-7) Thus their final explusion from heaven had not occurred yet.

It wouldn't be good for sinful Human to live eternally. so sin is bad for us even without the curse from God. In fact God meant well for us to not live in sin but in repentance instead, that's why we need to remember (God reminded) pur sins.
That’s an interesting point that I had not considered before. Even without the curse, sin would have been really bad, perhaps there would have been even more suffering if people never grew old.
Which scenario makes the greater sense to you?

I seem to have a small disconnect with the "curse". The plot is that Adam and Eve were given a choice of life or death, when there was no choice. If anyone accepts the naturally rational thought of the situation, then God stood by as a pair of naked and recently created humans a disobeyed direct the command, and so the misery of death and suffering beyond understanding came upon billions of lives from then on. This sounds like it was intentional, not choice. The correct instigator approached Eve. How hard do you think it was to tempt the pair? Of all the cherubs, why this one? Because they had to sin, and this was a sure way. Yes, I'm saying it was purposeful.
I think the origin of this debacle began with a less than perfect creation, because the quality of creation was accomplished by what was given through Christ to establish this outcome, imperfection. Everything degrades as a result. Satan degraded from majesty, to what has been humankind's worst enemy. And this has been purposeful. Something doesn't match with the expressed love of humankind. You can't have both of these Gods, but that is what is accepted, otherwise the God you worship is not sharing the entire story, only "what we need to know". I have questions, and 2000 years have passed after the greatest event in human history, outside of being created. Even this doesn't make sense. The silence speaks volumes.
Satan told the ultimate lie, which included enough truth but out of context. A brilliant liar. It was true that God was holding back something, and his creation sensed it. What a set up this was. God knew the weakness of these first people, and planned it to happen this way.
What reward is there for creating something to worship you if you don't give them free will? The gift is to be created in God's image with free will, much like a human child is created and disobeys.

Like children they were warned of things not understood. Now do this with children, then introduce a very crafty adult and in no time the kids will fail the command. Context. So let's converse on just one point: Satan was created by God as a special Cherub, and the result was known by the creator. Why this intention? Out of perhaps millions of entities, this chief Cherub entered the garden for the express purpose of destroying the current atmosphere of obedience, and causing the expulsion of these humans. Now wait a moment, the being God created specifically became the tempter. Not a coincidence.

By the way, where was Satan at the time Adam and Eve learned of their plight? He had completed his task, and he was out of there.
For a perfect God giving all these loving words and eventually his only son, these 2000 years do not fit in with the narrative. Something is wrong and we all know it.
My belief is that God is one who designed, created, and can easily give death or everlasting life. As far as we need be concerned, he is almighty, even though he is not perfect as we understand. He couldn't have been. A perfect being can only create imperfection if intentionally. Christ could only produce the quality God introduced through his son. It was imperfect from the beginning. Nothing is actually as we envision perfect. Now things can make sense.
I can agree with all Dr Wise says except for his understanding of satan. In this he is not wise (pun intended). Dr Wise needs to get the wisdom of Scripture to understand what the satan is.
As brief as I can be, this is my understanding from Scripture.
Rev 12:9 indicates to us that Serpent, Devil, Satan are one of the same. This is to do with human nature that is in opposition to God. Serpent, Devil, Satan are terms used in personification for sin and the cause of sin. This is entirely human based. Note: Angels are immortal and do the will of God; they cannot be immortal sinners. Therefore the idea of a fallen (sinful) angel of God is an oxymoron.
Wherever the terms, names, titles of Serpent, Satan, Devil are used, then look for the human connection. Jesus explains the origin of all sin and it come from within each one of us (Read Matt 15:10-20) The following passages can be read in support of the origin of sin; Jer 17:9; James 1:14,15; 1 Joh 2:16
Just as Jesus spoke in parables and many missed his spiritual message, so the Bible uses personification and so many will miss the spiritual message as it relates to human sin and therefore they are given over to believing fables, which the apostle Paul warns us against (2 Tim 4:4), and by the apostle Peter (2 Pet 1:16)

PS. The apostle Paul introduces us to the expression; "the carnal mind" (Rom 8:7) I believe it is the carnal mind (Serpent) which is cursed in Gen 3:14.
