After getting lots of comments to try some Filipino food recently, we searched and found Tarps Filipino Fusion Street Food in Ashton Market.
It was so delicious that we are now searching to see if we can find any other restaurants that produce this lovely food.
We visited Tarp's Filipino Fusion Street Food for this latest vlog, and are we so happy we did, the food and the flavours were so amazing that we can't wait to go back for part 2 and sample the other amazing dishes they have on their menu.

That place is great, every Filipino dish you ordered got it right, Picadillo, Adobo, Lumpia, Tapsilog & Pancit, that pancit is the miki noodles type the other one is the bihon noodles type which is also really good. Thank you for enjoying our dishes.

It may not be as spicy as Korean or Malaysian food. It may not have the exposure as Chinese or Indian food. But one thing that makes it really stand out - it's packed with FLAVOUR! The lumpia thats big might be Lumpiang Gulay (veggie version) but if it has a soft wrap it might be Lumpiang Ubod. Glad you guys liked Filipino food. Also don't forget to ask for sauces if Filipino restos offer any. We asians are all about the sauces/ dipping.

When dining on Filipino food that has rice, tiny bits, and soups or sauces, try to use cutlery the Filipino way: spoon in the right hand to scoop the grains and soups with the fork in the left hand to help load food onto the spoon. We also use the edge of the spoon as a knife to slice food chunks into smaller pieces that we can spear with the fork.

The next time you visit that restaurant I recomend you to try SINIGANG dish its a sour soup (it can be chicken, pork, shrimp or fish? if youre into tangi, flavorful and tasty soup. Or try Sizzling SISIG (it can be fish, tofu or pork). Also if they have PORK LECHON, that dish is so amazing one of my favorites. And theres a lot more savory and delicious food.

This was a lovely food reaction from a lovely couple. The good news is...this is only tip of the iceberg.....so much more to try....sinigang(sour soup)...Kare Kare(meat with peanut sauce and shrimp paste)....lechon(the best roasted pork you will ever have)...bifstek(steak in onions and lemon sauce)...filipino BBQ pork skewers...sisig (mixed pork meat very good with alcohol). For dessert...leche flan, cassava cake....halo halo(goodies with shaved ice and make sure you mix well before eating.

I saw from the comments they recommended sinigang. Just be prepare for the taste coz it is an acquired taste. It taste sour. But the more you dig in the more you liking it.

The stir-fry noodles, locally called pancit canton, can still be ’leveled-up’ by a sprinkling of ’calamansi’ or lemon. Something citrus-y.

Yellow rice can still be garlic rice. Us from the southern part of the Philippines, in Mindanao, especially in the ARMM, enjoy yellow rice. Tastes so much better than white rice, you can still stir fry it with garlic. 🤗

Makes me crave for that deliciousness. Love the beef tapa and the piccadillio ground meat marinated with chick peas, raisins, chicken or beef liver, chicken kidney and aromatic spices with garlic fried rice. The chicken pork adobo is delicious, tasty and very savoury with it's own flavor gravy sauce on the garlic rice. Yummy 😋

In the Philippines every Provinces has their owned dishes/specialty, So in the Philippines it's like competition of Dishes and also depending on there resources or availability of ingredients in every places in the Philippines (Look at Philippines map), If there is a food vlogger or a Chef that wants to know the Philippine food He/She must try from North to South of the Philippines to see and taste the Filipino food.

Right. For example, in the northern Luzon we have the mix veggie dish called Pinakbet. In the Bicol region, there is the spicy Laing. And the other regions and provinces have their signature dishes too. All awesome food.

The way Colin was eyeing the Chicken Adobo and the Lumpia was like, which one should I eat first? hahaha. Those were big dishes, especially since you had rice with it. The Beef Tapa, Chicken Adobo and Picadillo are Spanish and Mexican influenced dishes. The Lumpia and Pansit are Chinese influenced dishes.

try LongSiLog (LONGganisa - smoked pork sausage, SInangag - fried rice, Log - short for itlog means egg. Bulalo, soupy beef shanks and bone marrow dish with some veggies. Pinakbet, an ilocano veggie dish. 🇵🇭
