Semper Fidelis sorry m8 but what's funny about his comment? I do bodybuilding for health too. I try to build muscle (not aiming for big muscles) and it has definitely assisted my back and knee issues. It is way too difficult to deal with herniated discs while having week muscled especially on the legs and core parts. I consider looking physically fit as a bonus.

I think it’s similar to a technique that Chinese people use called Gua Sha. I get it done sometime for my sore muscles.
I appreciate how Dr. Mondragon goes the extra mile to break up the muscle knot before making the adjustment. I don't think all DCs do that.

i’m not 100% sure, but with the blade thing i think it’s to release pressure and relieve the joins or something
its to spread the scarred tissue for one clogged area
It's to spread the scarred tissue and bring the blood to the surface to help repair the muscles it doesnt actually cut them it's like a hicky
It's called the graston technique and it's used more commonly in physical therapy. My PT used to do that on my tight/inflamed IT band and boy it hurt like hell but the next day my pain was relieved.
It’s called a toxic release and it helps increase blood flow and it doesn’t cut him and if it looks like cuts it’s probably just stretch marks

Juan Pablo nah, bodybuilding is a mindset in the gym. Where you train and stretch every muscle on your body, usually broken up into small muscle groups 4-5+ days a week. It focuses on the aesthetic benefits of lifting weights, where as power lifting is focused primarily on strength.

I have a bad back injury years ago. 2 years ago I went to PT. A past student was my therapist. He would use the scrapers to loosen up the scar tissue. Two swipes and he would say my skin was lightening up. I would bruise really bad.

@@taoist32 there are different kinds of bodybuilders and they also depend on their base body shape (?) Dont know if i translated the term correctly, buuut there are bodybuilders who focus on the fit and compact side of it rather than mass aquisition.

Once I have money to go to st Augusta I will be setting an appointment lol . I’ve never seen that much work done by a chiro near me.. usually just a 2-5 minute adjustment. She REALLY makes sure she gets it all and knows what she’s looking for. As a MVA patient I’m real anxious to make this happen lol

How tough is it to work on bodybuilders compared to people with an "average" amount of upper body musculature?
Well, if the patient is fat theres a cushion of mass that prevents reaching the spot with ease, but since its just fat you just add some strenght to it and its all about the same, though its harder to manipulate suspended limbs because of the weight but das about it.
The next stage of difficulty would be a muscular patient since theres mass but its compacted and hard so you have to somehow reach deeper with something that opposes a fair amount of resistance unlike fat. Also muscle is heavier than fat therefoe you might need an extra amount of strenght to manipulate limbs. Its easiet if they stretch properly (like this dude) but harder if they dont (like most mass gainer body builders)

I have 3 herniated discs and spinal stenosis but here in the Uk some doctors completely advice against chiropractic treatment due to the stenosis then some say it will be fine. Obviously this would be too intense, I am able to workout as long as I avoid certain exercises. My normal life is affected badly by it. Any advice?
Try to make a consultation with a chiropractor, too, I guess. I think it is fair if you have gathered the opinions from all options possible. If I'm in a situation like yours, first thing I want to prevent is any surgery/operation. I'd be mad with regret if I agreed to have a surgery and I'm a whole different person after it, then all of a sudden, I knew about chiropractic treatment that should've fixed my back without slicing it open. Haha.
