I was about to switch back to Samsung, but the concerns about battery life is keeping me on IOS until Samsung sorts out the battery issue. I guess I could also just get the S23 Ultra and limit the upgrade to One UI 6.0.
If you don't care about total customization, full multitasking capabilities, turning your device into a more than capable PC on the go or the outstanding capabilities of the powerful SPen, then the iPhone is for you and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Not everybody wants or needs that much versatility in their phones. Samsung power users like myself however can't imagine having anything other than a Galaxy series device. Choose what's right for you.

@stevanb.2590 For whatever reason, Samsung will " handicap" the cameras on their devices right out of the box. To make things worse, they don't really give tutorials on how to get the maximum from them either. The shutter lag can be easily corrected in the camera settings. Afterwards you can take pics just as fast as you can press the button. You can also choose how many photos will be taken with each press of the button. It has always been a mystery to me as to why Samsung would not have their phones on the best most convenient settings automatically. They pack their devices with so many amazing features but seem to expect their customers to find them like Easter eggs. It's very weird to me. SMH. All that being said, I'm glad you have the phone you want and are happy with it. I do too much multitasking on the job and I am an avid S pen user so the iPhone is just not an option for me. I do like Apple though.

True! I’ve had Samsung for the past 12 years , last device was the S23 Ultra , had several problems after the 6.1 update and finally decided to move to the iPhone. I wonder which problems you encountered. When it comes down to it , the most important thing is the feeling of trust in your device. To keep your personal info secured , to wake you up if you set an alarm , to navigate you through the world and so on. All those features on android amount to nothing if there is no trust
I get over 8 hours sot on my s24 ultra, currently on 3 hours 16 mins sot at 70%. 11 hours 33 mins off charge.8 hours 6 mins screen off time.sounds like you need a factory reset
i have them both, and Samsung is faster smoother and better also battery is top notch i dont have any problem just go to optimization to battery full 5 times from 0 to 100 to learn you usage and then put up to 80 % and to go on battery save on 25 % with this i have whole 12 hours play with phone take all i need play some games is top even there.

For some strange reason, they don't want to make any changes to the iPhone that android gives you as a standard. I personally think that if they did, The iPhone wouldn't run correctly. Actually the S24U comes with the Snapdragon in all regions. The normal S24 and the plus comes with Snapdragon only in the US, China, Canada, Macau, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan.
Seems cool for those that would use it, but the average person may find, for eg. basics like consistency in navigation and settings more useful day to day?

iPhone 15 pro and pro max, it is luxurious, I like it, unfortunately it is not an economical gaming device from the point of view, (the phone does not have a bypass battery function) in that case you pay annually, for a battery replacement of about $120. In the Czech Republic, the price is about 3.000, -CZK, which is uneconomical and insanely expensive, for this money I can straight away (pay electricity), and simply afford to play on PC, better games in luxury quality. However, I have to give up my iPhone 15 pro and switch to a gaming phone like the Asus rog phone 8 or the Nubia red magic 9S pro. Because of the economic point of view. (These two phones enable battery bypass.) And thus playing mobile games will cost you 0 budget. And the power consumption for phone operation is about 25-80W. (Which to sum it up is economical and will cover you for hours of entertainment, without restrictions.) The iPhone is luxurious, as I mention, and the best on the market. However, it is not a gaming phone (device) for long hours of gaming. It is a great pity that the APPLE company does not try or do the same function for their phones (Devices) bypass battery function for gamers. I think even the Samsung S24 Ultra has this feature. (And it's not a gaming phone).
S24 ultra going to get a huge update in august which includes 6.1.1 new AI FEATURES. But samsung is releasing 7.0 update slower as they are focucing on 6.1.1 sadly.
Samsung Galaxy Ultra 24 uses only the Snapdragon SoC and an anti-reflectiive panel. Interesting video iPhone has come a long way but I'm sticking with One UI. Especially with Good Lock it's customisation is next level.

In my country Samsung is cheaper than iPhone for about 500 Dollar. To make it clear, in Turkey, we pay 65.000 TL for S24 Ultra 512GB which is equal for 1967$ and for iPhone 15 Pro Max 512GB we pay for 85.000TL which is 2573$. Difference between them especially in terms of Turkish currency, there is a huge gap while Turkish average wage is about 500 Dollar. So, ı don’t see any reasons for buying an iPhone 😊

I chop and change everytime i upgrade went from s5 to iphone 6s plus to s10 then iphone 12 now i have s24 ultra , one thing i will say as ive gotten older i prefer the simplicity of iphone alot more dont get me wrong the s24u is jam packed with features and it is a beast of a phone which i will use for the next 4 plus years but i must admit sometimes less is more if that makes sense , both great phones
Been on iPhone for 6 years and just got the s24u yesterday. I was always way into customization and what not but now that I'm older all the features I just don't really care about. Great phone though. Still not sure whether to keep it or just stick with iPhone.

No split screen, no real multi tasking, no real picture in picture. iPhone doesn't do anything special without the use of a MacBook, or iPad. I get about 18 hrs on my galaxy s24 ultra I listen to music for 8 hrs at work and watch UA-cam videos on my 1 hr lunch then about another 6 hrs of UA-cam videos when I get home u must have a app that's killing the battery on ur s24 ultra
Android always had more customization but if Apple comes around with features the features are simple better quality. AI is strong and Apple chips are way more enhanced in this category, might be a big leap. Google Tensor 3 is kinda weak in comparison and google would always prioritize it’s own chip over Snapdragon. 🤷🏻♂️

I'm a Sammy user. I left Apple years ago after getting so frustrated with iTunes I said..."I'm done.". I've never looked back but they're both great systems and getting closer and closer to each other with every iteration. We, the public, are the beneficiaries.

Curious about your opinion: At my place 15 pro max is 1200 USD, whereas S24 ultra is 945 USD. Been an Android/Samsung user ever since (s20+ currently), and I'd miss the customization,security folder,edge menu but recently the camera became really important for me (travelling,family stuff etc) and I like the pro max design more and have airpods,planning to get an iPad. Would this be enough to make the switch to iPhone,or should I upgrade to the S24 U?
I say get the 24 anyway, you'd wanna stay away from apple walled garden and just go android phone and apple tablet, so that you still have iMessage or whatever. if you wanna go apple on the go, just get an 11. works just fine and pictures are still very good

Paying over 1000 bucks and then ending up with blurry unusable pictures of kids, pets, people... should not be acceptable. (And there are many other camera problems - weird color grading/HDR, choppy videos, poor front camera results...)
That's all good to have these specs there in Iphone 15 pro max. However, Apple lacks basic evolution. Let's say I was taking photos on direct sunlight for 5 minutes in around 30 degree weather temperature. Phone got hot unexpectedly and dimmed my screen. How? That never happened in huawei p30 pro. It doesn't happen on Samsung S24 ultra. It's apple. Come on. €1450 for the phone to dim the screen while taking photos is ridiculous and above. And this is one of the many silly amd prehistoric things iphone never evolved from 🙄🤦♂️
I own a 13 PM and a galaxy s24+ and I will say iOS 18 has really made me enjoy using my iPhone more but as u said Android is miles ahead when it comes to customization.. love both phones though

8gen3 npu is the most powerful npu on a phone rn , galaxy a.i is on device since s24u got released theres a toggle in the settings in galaxy a.i section wich lets you run all galaxy a.i features when completely offline. So you can choose between using the cloud or not

You can send images and videos to your windows laptop or tablet to edit just like you said. There's loterlaly no difference except you can actually use Dex on your phone if you desire the option.

Been on iPhone for 6 years and just got the s24u yesterday. I was always way into customization and what not but now that I'm older all the features I just don't really care about. Great phone though. Still not sure whether to keep it or just stick with iPhone.

@@GreenhouseGoblinYeah I am still loving the S24U. Pretty happy with my choice after watching the iPhone event as well. I think I would be fine using either phone but to me the Galaxy Watch 7 I enjoy much better than Apple watch. My wife who has been a lifelong iPhone user with a 15 pro currently is gonna make the switch as well because she loves both my phone and watch. Hope this info is useful for you.

Efficient, bro are serious right now? The iPhone doesn't do anything, it can't be anything else but efficient. No split screen, no real multi tasking, no real picture in picture. iPhone doesn't do anything special without the use of a MacBook, or iPad. On it's own it's a real disaster, a social media device at best! Everybody is always talking about how android isn't as smooth as iPhone. But if you carried a heavy load on your back, you wouldn't be smooth either. Apple!
I get about 18 hrs on my galaxy s24 ultra I listen to music for 8 hrs at work and watch UA-cam videos on my 1 hr lunch then about another 6 hrs of UA-cam videos when I get home u must have a app that's killing the battery on ur s24 ultra
Android always had more customization but if Apple comes around with features the features are simple better quality.
AI is strong and Apple chips are way more enhanced in this category, might be a big leap. Google Tensor 3 is kinda weak in comparison and google would always prioritize it’s own chip over Snapdragon. 🤷🏻♂️
All you need to do is sound more bias, cause to me it looks like regardless you rooting for appel, when the s24 ultra is killing it in everything except video mode,buy don't get it twisted, you're very informative, just look one sided
I'm a Sammy user. I left Apple years ago after getting so frustrated with iTunes I said..."I'm done.". I've never looked back but they're both great systems and getting closer and closer to each other with every iteration. We, the public, are the beneficiaries.

For photography I would buy S24U, but for videography it is iPhone, especially if you need prolog.

I don’t like these grainy display when you are in a dark place. As a display lover this is one of the biggest flaw of S24 ultra
I just got an iPhone for the last 3 months after being an android fan and already having an iPad and MacBook for 5 years.

I would still wait for the official iOS update to come out but for now its Team Samsung all the way, also given the fact I have an iPhone 12 I can't do another Pro iPhone to just get some features that come on the Pro chips, I got myself the S24 Ultra and its been far far far better than Apple's experience, the screen is unmatched, the experience on Android is so open and fun, I have no sort of buyers remorse and I'm going to hold on to the phone

Not sure why you’re reviewing the iPhone 15 Pro Max with iOS 18, literally a beta. People buying a 15 pro max won’t be using iOS 18 until September.
Curious about your opinion:
At my place 15 pro max is 1200 USD, whereas S24 ultra is 945 USD. Been an Android/Samsung user ever since (s20+ currently), and I'd miss the customization,security folder,edge menu but recently the camera became really important for me (travelling,family stuff etc) and I like the pro max design more and have airpods,planning to get an iPad. Would this be enough to make the switch to iPhone,or should I upgrade to the S24 U?

I say get the 24 anyway, you'd wanna stay away from apple walled garden and just go android phone and apple tablet, so that you still have iMessage or whatever. if you wanna go apple on the go, just get an 11. works just fine and pictures are still very good
If you care about cameras, stay away from Samsung

@@dameiondarthard3878 not being able to get decent pic of any moving subject (not great, decent - usable) is a big NO in this price range. Paying over 1000 bucks and then ending up with blurry unusable pictures of kids, pets, people... should not be acceptable. (And there are many other camera problems - weird color grading/HDR, choppy videos, poor front camera results...)
That's all good to have these specs there in Iphone 15 pro max. However, Apple lacks basic evolution. Let's say I was taking photos on direct sunlight for 5 minutes in around 30 degree weather temperature. Phone got hot unexpectedly and dimmed my screen. How? That never happened in huawei p30 pro. It doesn't happen on Samsung S24 ultra. It's apple. Come on. €1450 for the phone to dim the screen while taking photos is ridiculous and above. And this is one of the many silly amd prehistoric things iphone never evolved from 🙄🤦♂️

I own a 13 PM and a galaxy s24+ and I will say iOS 18 has really made me enjoy using my iPhone more but as u said Android is miles ahead when it comes to customization.. love both phones though

8gen3 npu is the most powerful npu on a phone rn , galaxy a.i is on device since s24u got released theres a toggle in the settings in galaxy a.i section wich lets you run all galaxy a.i features when completely offline. So you can choose between using the cloud or not

I get the comparison as it’s what’s out, but at least mention the 16 lol! Last thing. You don’t need Dex to edit something, just send it to your Mac or iPad lol!

You can send images and videos to your windows laptop or tablet to edit just like you said. There's loterlaly no difference except you can actually use Dex on your phone if you desire the option.

I never get why you need 2 phones unless one is for work and 1 is personal, but I am 100% into the IOS ecosystem so I rock with the 15PM. I works great now with my macbook and ipad, airpods and apple watch. Does everything I need on a day in day out basis.
