It is so Molly Hatchet Danny Joe Brown will be very proud of Parker Lee & the other singers that left this earth that sang with Molly Hatchet...
We all have our feelings on whether legacy bands with few or no original/classic members should continue. However, at the end of the day, it's the name that generates revenue - it sustains jobs for musicians, road crews, etc. It creates a "fun night out" for casual fans just wanting to hear their favorite songs, who're going to see the name rather than being concerned with who the musicians behind the name are. There's a reason why local tribute bands are so popular in recent years, recent decades even. It's the same reason why people don't care when bands legally carrying the names Lynyrd Skynyrd or Thin Lizzy or Quiet Riot play a show with no original members: Life is increasingly difficult for an increasing amount of Americans, and when they have a chance they just wanna have fun watching a band play their favorite songs. Do you think 95% of the people going to see Lynyrd Skynyrd care about - or even know about - for example, the "is Rickey Medlocke an original member or not" argument? No. They're worried about their own lives, not the legacy and perceived artistic integrity of a classic band's name. Yeah, there are lots of hardcore fans around who DO care, but the percentage is relatively small and vocal. These fans would rather see a name retired than carry on without enough or any classic/founding members. I understand that, even if I don't usually agree with it. Each band situation is different and should be evaluated on its own terms. Seems to me that Bobby Ingram's personality and approach to becoming the owner of the Molly Hatchet brand really rubs people the wrong way - more so than the fact that there's a band out there still legally using the name Molly Hatchet without any original/classic members. And even then, we get into gray areas, right? The "original six" of Molly Hatchet are gone, but Galvin played with all or nearly all of them, joining in 1983 or 1984 as he did. And Ingram, as we all know, became a full-time Hatchet guitarist in around 1988-89 I think, But he was in bands with DJB before Molly Hatchet formed, as well as playing in the solo DJB Band with John Galvin in 1980-81. There's an argument that could be made that Galvin and Ingram are "classic" members, if not founding/original members. There's an argument to be made that just keeping the name alive in whatever form keeps the back catalog alive and the memories/legacy of the "original six" alive with it. Personally, I'm not taking any sides on this with Molly Hatchet. There's a degree of validity to everyone's opinion. But I will say this: To me, personally, it seems weak and inexplicable to go out with just Bobby on guitar, particularly when they put out a live album (Battleground) with obvious overdubs of additional guitars. I mean, listen to the Battleground version of "The Creeper" for example - Bobby is playing with monstrous Tony Iommi levels of saturated gain on at least two guitars panned left and right. Sounds great, but...ya know...like a lot (or most) live albums by all bands, it's kind of false advertising. If they feel the need to do this, it might indicate a self-awareness that the actual live sound lacks fullness and texture with just one guitarist. So, Mr. Ingram, if you're reading this, I volunteer to be your second guitarist. I'm not really from the south, but close (West Virginia), and I'll work cheap. 😁😇😎✌🏻
What a joke they do an impersonation trying to sound like the real molly hatchet. Like a tribute band does. Its like Blackfoot its like Skynyrd they're not the bands just a tribute band.
Another bit of advise Bobby Ingram, please stop pretending to be Molly Hatchet. Tour as a cover band..or....write some songs under a new band name and be original. So GD lame.
Dolly; uh, I mean Bobby, play some of your original songs on the radio ads when you come to a certain area to play a concert and see how many people show up. Instead of playing the original band's recordings in attempt to trick the audience. Good luck with that! LOL
They sleep at night because it's a business. It doesn't matter who is on stage. Just like Skynyrd, Foreigner and all the other classic rock bands with one original or zero members. Most folks would do the same thing if they could call themselves something they're are not and make money. I can't really blame them. Yes, it's a cover band but at the end of the day, it's on the fan who pays, not the dudes onstage.
This is not Molly Hatchet. I met most of the original band. They would be pissed. And I met Bobby Ingram. A little arrogant. Change the name of the band. Nothing but a tribute band. Coat-tailing much?
@HARDASSER don't be an ass. If Ingram changes the name, the Molly Hatchet legacy dies. It would just fade away into the past. He has the legal right to the name and he's keeping the Molly Hatchet name and legacy alive. I've seen them twice in this incarnation. Guess what? There's still a lot of people that want to hear these songs and they're bringing their kids to the shows. I would rather have someone out there still pushing the name and music forward than letting one of the best southern rock bands fade into oblivion. Oh by the way, have you even bothered to listen to any of their more recent records? They're damn good records. 🤘🎸🎶

A bit of advise MH. Dump the distortion please!
To the Hater's.....Bobby is simply keeping the songs alive because every original member of Molly Hatchet is dead.
No, he's not and I'm coming from 1st hand knowledge.
They released great records with Phil, but after he died they went downhill, even playing live with one guitar only
What happened to Jimmy Elkins? He was a good singer.
@@tomlogiudice3777 Jimmy Elkins had a Bad bike accident unfortunately...
@@nerdywithautism99 sorry to hear that about Jimmy Elkins having a bad bike accident. Thanks for the information.

Integrity come on One guitar, keyboards and the worst singer in Rock.
This should be President Donald J. Trump's victory song!
Molly Hatchet needs a second guitar player and to tune half a step down for the lead singer.
