- This is a video I started making around 6pm on the 6th of December. I couldn't resist the first great snowfall of the season here in Montreal without playing with the camera! This is just a few minutes I threw together...nothing special.

This is a city that is beyond beautiful and full of the nicest people you could ever meet.
Today is the 11th anniversary of filming (which was also a Monday). I enjoy this video and and have watched it around this time every year since discovering it in 2012. The use of The Vince Guaraldi Trio for the musical score is what really makes this video stick. Montreal is cool AF. Enjoy your holiday season.

I love my beautiful city that I live in, Montreal. There is so much diversity here. Everybody is a Fruit Loop in a World of Cheerios, everybody is different. From all places of the world. That is what is so amazing about Montreal.
My very 1st visit in 1989 I hated it and no way was ever going back. Went back in 2008 and have lost track of trips made since then. Have been 4 for 4 with snow on winter trips and February the only month that I have not been there. Next years F1 plan set and should get a trip or 2 in before that!

Just want you to know that I, somehow, was unable to find this video for a few minutes and had a bit of a freak out. This is hands down one of my favorite videos of Montreal and thinking it had been taken down had me in a panic lol.

I don't think Montrealer's are given enough praise for their winter parking ability. I sat one afternoon looking out a 4th floor window over Downtown Montreal in a heavy snowstorm marveling at their skill in parking small cars on unplowed city streets. No timidity in the way they line up, throw it in reverse and hammer the gas while flipping the wheel before safely coming to a rest either in or on top of a snowbank.
I live in Montreal and your description of how we do it is on point. 😆
@@lynnedaigle7488 Evidence: At a Tech Conf MCC late winter 2yrs ago 24"-30" of snow falls the night before. In NY-Boston MAYBE 10-20% /300 registered attendees would show, in DC 0%. In MTL 280/300 showed, dazzling me with their parking skills from my window. So what do you add to the Poutine to achieve such grand results?!

@@lynnedaigle7488 LOL...I guess the recipe will remain a secret. Another tourist motivation: Neither NY LA DC SF or anyplace on this continent I can think of has more attractive women. Stylish and totally feminine with an air of quiet confidence that says " I don't dress to please anyone but myself. I do it because it makes me feel good". The peak of girl watching season in Montreal begins when the weather is warm enough for Summer Dresses. Sa magie pure. Now if you could only bring back my beloved Expos I'd simply have to move there.

Woooow you get up to go to work ,you make it there safe lunch time its started to snow some ligthy hot soup maybe or hot choc lololo ..then its time for you to go home... this is when the party start tryin to get home. lololo snow is every where now all over the place lolo try to catch a cab in New York City trying to get home on a snowy day cold Raw cold windy day take you 6 hours to get home in new York City on cold raw day priceless... wow you finally made it home you pull up to the driveway all you see is the Christmas lights on you walk up to the driveway you ring the doorbell in your home Merry Christmas...

Here! So far 4 for 4 with snow on Montreal trips! It's a tough walk up Mont Royal in heavy snow! A very humid day is very close! Took a good 8 years and 20 trips to be at the top for sunrise and was worth the effort!

Plaisant, le piano, on aimerait flotter dans l'aire en même temps que l'on regarde ce document. Sacrée tempête de neige.. Un jour je suis revenu de Kingston dans un blizzard semblable.. à 80 km/heure, c'était risqué, venant de Ottawa. Les camions gisaient dans le fossé, et quelques bagnoles aussi. Mais mon copain et moi, on est passés.

Montreal is cool, i love living here. They should have more development and incorporate the whole montreal island , plus laval (jesus island) to make it a huge city, kind of like NYC. They should be more open with the Anglos so we can build more worldwide businesses and they can make it the number 1 city in canada, bigger than toronto.
