@@MADEIN93REACTS I dont know, YG used to make good music but now they become super lazy and repetitive, music and concept wise. Been fan of them since 2006 (Kpop as well) then I quit after listening to the same stuff again and again. You should check out New Jeans, they have some super good song.

@@MADEIN93REACTS In Asian culture, competition is something they live with every day, the groups are friends with each other, but that does not mean that they want to be better than others, in that industry 30 or more groups debut per year, which is very difficult to highlight.

i understand that the last party part is YG tradition and there are some who like the last part only. I am not particularly YG fan so I didn't get it well. IMO, The song shows that they are YG family and attempt to appeal to existing YG fans. They are tallented for sure and I hope they show more their own colour in future songs

It's their debut from December 23, so there isn't much more except pre debut stuff. I'm not that much the K-Pop expert, but the change in the last part seems to be a signature element of their company YG. It's not my cup of tea, but I readily acknowledge that this is just personal taste. The girls have a TON of talent, there's no doubt about it. My main issues with Batter Up are that the choreography, while flawlessly executed, seemed a bit generic to me. And, most of all, give the girls more vocals! They are really really good at that, why weren't they allowed to show it and instead drop into a chorus consisting of exactly ... wait a moment while I'm counting ... two words, endlessly repeated? Catchy for sure, but really?
I am more than open to look at their next two, three, four releases ... but to me it seems that they could do a lot better than this - give them a more challenging choreo. And for Christ's sake, give them more vocals. Rapline already is top tier.
