I have had a PS2 before which I had to get modded because it was region locked to USA and I got it as a gift from my uncle who brought it from US. I enjoyed a lot , here in India , there were pirated CDs which I used to buy for Rs 50-100 ( 1-2$) only and play the whole game. After a few years , I bought a PSP and all thanks to Jailbreak, I played almost all the games which were the best on the PSP ( even bought many of those Cute UMDs ). Way back in 2020 , bought a PS4 Slim to play because it was lockdown and needed something to do to pass time. Built a whole good library of all the best PS4 games and as I had a PS Plus membership and monthly games were good back then , I had my PS4 always on the latest firmware. Now having played almost all the AAA titles the ps4 had to offer , I really want to Jailbreak this console to revisit the old PS2,3 games which I enjoyed as a kid and explore the homebrew apps and mods to have some fun replaying the games which i have already played. But I’m god damn struck on 12.00 and desperately waiting for a Jailbreak. I would have bought a PS5 but honestly there are no good games yet and still most of the new titles are releasing on the PS4 , I would probably wait for a couple of years and hope that a jailbreak comes and ps5 game library improves . There is no fun in playing the already beaten games again on ps5 just because the fps and graphics improved..

The gentleman is already doing the scene a service (so you need to be more acknowledging of these), these videos just demonstrate the selfless nature in some people. While there are some who just wish to use the 'backdoors' to play 'free' backups, I see a lot more engineering challenges being taken on by quite talented group of people and others who just wish to contribute in the proliferation process. Patience will definitely yield some fruits. Though PS5 is not worth the effort (probably the poorest console in recent memory in terms of library), the engineering challenge it presents is there to be overcome! I wonder how these vulnerabilities are discovered and tested!! Was also wondering if there is a library documenting these penetration tests/exploits... and if it is still proprietary...

Gave up on waiting for my 11.5 PS4 Pro, since the physical must-play games are pretty cheap even when new. And if you want to install a bigger SSD, you end up upgrading to 12 with use of the unlabeled reinitialize file. I was quite surprised to see many many of the full complete games I just bought to be available on PS Store for even cheaper, as low as $6 (Batman Arkham Premium ), for the complete game. Sony sales definitely are not as stingy as the Nintendo 'sales'. Also didn't want to deal with having PKG file save file issues. I'll remain hopeful that PS4 will someday have a PS3-style exploit where it's a complete free for all, where the fake ticket/license files are generated to allow you downloading directly from PSN.

If you’re trying to download themes from the PSN store, I think they shut it down for the PS3
Make sure your date and time is correct, that could cause network issues

It's almost 4 years since the PS5 release. If PS5 follows the same trajectory as the PS4 hacking scene, we should have a full JB in 2025.
