My grandfather missed d day by 2 days because of a mix up. He was god damn lucky and I’m lucky to be here. He survived the rest of the war and was wounded in Belgium. Survived the entire war but couldn’t escape cancer. I love this game because of how close it hits me.
I would not call the zombies amazing but it's hated way too much it's decent I would call the campaign great TBH I love the characters and everything and MP after the revamp it was decent aswell Cod WW2 is honestly super underrated not the greatest cod but 100% not the worst. 7/10

29:56 Fun Fact: WW2 soldiers were actually taught to shoot Pistols single handedly! The game accurately depicts this with every pistol you use even in multiplayer! That being said it’s unlikely that Daniels, Zussman, or any other Private Ranking Soldier, would be carrying a 1911 Pistol as it was only issued to High Ranking officers, Specialized Soldiers, Pilots, and Vehicle Mechanics. Also for some reason it’s carrying unlimited ammo in this scene! Haha
That may be true but both Daniels and Zussman were PFCs (Private First Class) and would've been a high enough rank to be issued with pistols and even if they weren't then they could've brought pistols and revolvers with them from home as some soldiers did exactly that including my x3 great grandad when he fought at Sword Beach
I am steeped up to my eyeballs in WW2 media I will never get tired of it, I don't know why but I am fascinated by the stories and history of the WW2 era. I am going to enjoy this playthrough so thank you. Definitely recommend the Wolfenstein New Order series for a more pulp-action-fiction vibe as well.

One unique gameplay feature that we don’t see in any other COD games or even future COD games (correct me if I’m wrong) is the First Aid Kit mechanic. Unlike the other protagonist Daniels doesn’t heal on his own. It definitely adds a bit more of a challenge to the game itself especially in the harder difficulties!
I don't know if anyone answered your question, Juliette, but tanks did use foliage as camouflage during WW II. Obviously, the trick is not going to fool anyone for very long, but in a battle even just a few added seconds of concealment could mean the difference between victory and destruction

When the US and UK allied forces took the footstep in Sicily after the victory at North Africa front, they had initiated the offensive to take Italy. At that time, the Italy had overthrown Mussolini and Hitler also foreseen his ally’s threat since the time of italy’s military failures upon the North Africa campaign and Greece battles. According to defend the Italy, he sent German army and made two defensive lines at there. The first line is Gustav defensive line and the second one is Kasserine Defensive line. In some sources which I read, the allies penetrated the Gustav line but they were stuck at Kasserine line till 1945. And the soldiers who were talking about that were the ones who had involved in that battles and some had involved even from the US landing on North Africa from Algeria.

Basically, this Call of Duty game is new to me. My friends and I used to play multiplayer mode in this game and had fun a lot in my 7 or 8th grade!!! Enjoyed the playthru. The system the Australian's used for bombing was to divide up into bomber's and bayonet men once the bomber's chucked their bombs the bayonet men would be charging in close behind to clear up. We also tended to use our entrenching tool for close quarters it was a small shovel and pick made of one piece which slipped onto a handle. I read an account of a officer who was rescued by one of his men at lone pine Gallipoli the fulla cut down seven Turks on his way to the officer with just the entrenching tool.

This is the last call of duty I played. It was a nice return to form in my opinion, call of duty was always at its best when it had some form of realism too it. Thats what made World at War, Cod 2 Big Red One, and even the first black Ops, such treat to play, and it kept the stories engaging. This was one lf the last games I played before I stopped playing video games. And it was nice to end on a bang

Somehow I can see that Daniels (our MC from the Marine here) Kinda reminds me of B.J. Blazkowitcz from the Wolfenstein series. Anyway long time no see Juliette! Have you tap into the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series yet? btw since you've played couple of WW2 war games so far, any favorite weapons? Mine is the PPSH-41, the russian SMG (I think I saw couple of enemies wield it here). The rate of fire is insane with that weapon no matter which game I play. Perfect to decimate through dozens of enemies on close quarters like bunkers and stuff (aside from shotguns ofc).

The Americans had been supplying the Allies for the first few years but had been kept from anything else by its own legislation. After Pearl Harbor, the gloves came off and the entire industrial capacity of the nation was dedicated to war. Yep, I like this game due to that you have to be careful as your health doesn’t regenerate. And this is a nod to the older and first gen of call of duty’s. As the first Gen of games did not have regenerated health. Had to find health packs or pickups. 😊❤️

It is quite different than the earlier games, not graphics, as those would just naturally get better, but in presentation, and mechanics. I think your comment of reminiscence for Band of Brothers, is true. It struck me, as well, with the narration, similar to a few of the episodes in that series, along with the banter between the characters, also on display here. I have never really been a big fan of collectibles, although I know they can be a beloved addition to a game, but I find them, somewhat ill placed here - If, as you say, one finds them in the normal course of playing, fine, but, mine own opinion, a full-on CoD game just doesn't lend itself to casual exploration of nooks and crannies. 🤣 Ah, the ease and accuracy of mouse and keyboard... yes. No doubt. A thing games on console attempt to adopt, or replicate, with aim-assist I've always thought. Ahh Tom 💜😸 Absolutely perfect timing from my big grey. He knew I was sat down and ready to go, and wanted to be involved 🥰 There seems to be mixed comments about this one. Some love it, some hate it. I personally think it's wonderful. Perhaps it isn't the most historically accurate but to be honest, I'm playing a game. I enjoy accuracy in games, but I can also look the other way if I'm enjoying it and having fun, which is the main purpose of gaming to me. It's been a funny thing to play mostly console games, and since getting my new PC a few months ago, to swap to a lot of PC games. It's sometimes difficult to go back and forth, especially when the games are so similar like with the CoD games. Aim-assist is very handy on consoles, just to help speed up the aiming slightly, so I do love it when games include that! I am getting SO MANY Band of Brothers feels from this game. What a beautiful series. I don't know if the game came first or BoB, but if BoB was first, I dare say a lot of inspiration came from that. A WW2 setting is always intriguing for me, so I'm really enjoying it! Thank you, Tom! Feeling a bit better today but still losing a lung or two on a regular basis 🤣 It's not too bad, and I've been through worse, so I can't complain too much 💜
Fun fact, due of how badly perfomed in sales and reviews the previous call of dutys set on a fururistic era, this game came out, had a rough start that kinds got the game in a shadow in a way xd And even when the campaing was ok, for some was kinda dissapointing back then that didn't included the brithis (and maybe have a captain price cameo) or soviet campaings, like the original call of duty's back then did in its old era (or at least thats what i remember for it bad fame back then, besides the lootboxes that is xd)

This is the last call of duty I played. It was a nice return to form in my opinion, call of duty was always at its best when it had some form of realism too it. Thats what made World at War, Cod 2 Big Red One, and even the first black Ops, such treat to play, and it kept the stories engaging. This was one lf the last games I played before I stopped playing video games. And it was nice to end on a bang

btw since you've played couple of WW2 war games so far, any favorite weapons? Mine is the PPSH-41, the russian SMG (I think I saw couple of enemies wield it here). The rate of fire is insane with that weapon no matter which game I play. Perfect to decimate through dozens of enemies on close quarters like bunkers and stuff (aside from shotguns ofc).
I am pretty bad at remembering weapon names, but I have noticed a few recurring guns from that time period which is really cool!
I've not played Yakuza but I'll be honest and say I have no plans for it on the channel right now. Wolfenstein on the other hand... 👀

I love this game but the only thing I got to play was the multiplayer because after that I only got through half of the campaign mode
One of the reasons why the United States entering the war after Pearl Harbor is purely industrial. I wasn't going to watch this playthrough as I haven't played this game yet - despite the fact I only do the WWII ones as I only love killing N*zis - but then I saw the acro-catic introduction and was instantly hooked of course. Yep, I like this game due to that you have to be careful as your health doesn’t regenerate. And this is a nod to the older and first gen of call of duty’s. As the first Gen of games did not have regenerated health. Had to find health packs or pickups. 😊❤️

Hello, Juliette. This is another CoD game I haven't seen before. It is quite different than the earlier games, not graphics, as those would just naturally get better, but in presentation, and mechanics. I think your comment of reminiscence for Band of Brothers, is true. It struck me, as well, with the narration, similar to a few of the episodes in that series, along with the banter between the characters, also on display here.
I have never really been a big fan of collectibles, although I know they can be a beloved addition to a game, but I find them, somewhat ill placed here - If, as you say, one finds them in the normal course of playing, fine, but, mine own opinion, a full-on CoD game just doesn't lend itself to casual exploration of nooks and crannies. 🤣
Ah, the ease and accuracy of mouse and keyboard... yes. No doubt. A thing games on console attempt to adopt, or replicate, with aim-assist I've always thought.
You've had a good beginning here, getting used to the layouts, the various functions, and weaponry. A fine setup for part 2.😊

There seems to be mixed comments about this one. Some love it, some hate it. I personally think it's wonderful. Perhaps it isn't the most historically accurate but to be honest, I'm playing a game. I enjoy accuracy in games, but I can also look the other way if I'm enjoying it and having fun, which is the main purpose of gaming to me.
It's been a funny thing to play mostly console games, and since getting my new PC a few months ago, to swap to a lot of PC games. It's sometimes difficult to go back and forth, especially when the games are so similar like with the CoD games. Aim-assist is very handy on consoles, just to help speed up the aiming slightly, so I do love it when games include that!
I am getting SO MANY Band of Brothers feels from this game. What a beautiful series. I don't know if the game came first or BoB, but if BoB was first, I dare say a lot of inspiration came from that. A WW2 setting is always intriguing for me, so I'm really enjoying it!

Fun fact, due of how badly perfomed in sales and reviews the previous call of dutys set on a fururistic era, this game came out, had a rough start that kinds got the game in a shadow in a way xd
And even when the campaing was ok, for some was kinda dissapointing back then that didn't included the brithis (and maybe have a captain price cameo) or soviet campaings, like the original call of duty's back then did in its old era (or at least thats what i remember for it bad fame back then, besides the lootboxes that is xd)
Yeah, I've heard some people didn't like the futuristic games. I've not played them yet!
