    Very nice demonstration. You should also show how water makes an even better shield due to water being very dense.

      Cool will do at some point, well water is great in volume, not as good for size as lead, as most people can't carry a fishtank with them.

    • @yaykruser
      @yaykruser 5 місяців тому +2

      water is 1/11.3 the density of lead.
      I think you confused it with neutron radiation which is better stopped by water .

    Could you use the lead to recreate the slit screen experiment that showed wave interference patterns? Could we interfere with gamma radiation to a point that it could be used to completely protect certain areas through interference?
    I know the interference effect works best from coherent sources, but a gamma ray burst Is much more coherent than radiation from any other natural source, it’s basically a space laser. Could lead with slits in it be used to protect from a gamma ray burst?

      Iodine only helps when fission occured. It does not help a bit with an radiation other than that of the otherwise incorporated radioactive iodine that comes from fission.

    Im new to learning about scalar (longitudinal) waves (Tesla), ionizing radiation, and militarys development of various DEW devices. I know we today have optical laser DEWS. i know we can have microwave DEWS. has anyone found any documents or websites describing ionizing radiation DEWS? all of this is of course, very concerning...

    Although lead works for gamma, doesn't for for beta. Because of it's high Z value (atomic number), electrons will be slowed by the lead (eventually will be absorbed, witch works as a shield and that's ok) BUT, in the process of slowing them down electrons release an electromagnetic radiation (gamma), that's why it's better to put a piece of aluminium (or something with lower Z but high enough that would absorb electrons), between your radiation source and lead shielding, the piece of aluminium will completely stop the electron with a much much lower chance of the electron releasing a gamma radiation.

    • @Weaponsandstuff93
      @Weaponsandstuff93  3 роки тому +1

      Yeah thick plastic like acrylic works best for shielding beta sources to prevent braking radiation.

But do still be cautious, I know here in the U.S. Cody's Lab on UA-cam was visited by federal agents after he did some videos on radioactive materials. He didn't get in trouble.
