Great video... I was looking for a very specific 3rd gen 4runner antenna replacement video on UA-cam. Out with the old automatic/motorized OEM (that hasn't worked in years) and in with a static/fixed version with mast and all. Your documentation is exactly what I was looking for, and I have watched a lot of videos on the subject... so I thank you, sir!
You don’t need to remove the fender, you can also remove the fender liner to get to the antenna motor. You will most likely need a few new clips though which are a few bucks apiece from Toyota.
Nice video! I just found your channel.. I’m really enjoying it! I recently got a 4runner and the control panel has some broken clips, and I’m struggling to fix it. Do you know which clips would work or have any tips on how to solve this? Thanks
@@aramschannel I think the same, but I'm a little confused because some tell me yes and others say no, I've looked for it and can't find anything, they have a blower and there are videos about it but nothing more; thanks for answering
@ScienceHeckYeah I pulled decently hard but if you feel it's getting stuck, I'd suggest trying to find what it's stuck on. If you open up the glove compartment area, you should be able to see in there
crazy clean interior 👍
@@Bre-SR5 thank you!
3rd gen 4runners are so satisfying to work on
You made that look easy, my brother.
It wasn't too bad :)

Could you make a video changing the cabin air filter?
I don't think there is a cabin filter on these 3rd gen 4runners

@@jonnydelatorres5933 I can confirm there is not a cabin air filter on my 99.
Did the reception get better after swap?
@@jdmDC2ftw about the same, it wasn't bad before though
nice & clean🎉❤
I was gonna upgrade mine but the radio stations only have fake laughter and ads.. good vid though
Nice vid, did you replace that light bulb? I really wanted to see it turn on
Thanks bro but not yet
How hard did you pull the new antenna cord through? When I pull on mine it gets stuck and I don't want to break it. Any tips?

@@aramschannel Thanks I'll try again.
You should have swapped to a shorty. I took my electric out and screwed in a shorty and no more issues
