Hi, Just bought this as my first 360 camera. Truth be told, this is my first camera other than my iPhone(which I didn't use much at all). Mainly got this to film me and my homies dirt biking, surfing, snowboarding, mountain biking, etc. I'm pretty excited to get hands on and learn all that can be done including editing. Just bought one for moto vlogging, fantastic camera, like having your own camera crew. For POV shots I use my Osmo Action. 360 editing is still a steep learning curve but great that the finished clips can be exported for conventional editing.
It would be nice if it had the capability of connecting to a smart TVs to view your videos. Or does it? And would have line to see your review on the lens covers. 👍
Thanks, am considering. I do a lot of hiking and backpacking solo and this could potentially make my footage far more interesting. Now I can only shoot my self at one angle or shoot scenery while I’m walking. B-o-r-I-n-g.
The only thing i hate at this camera, is editing, i am 52 years old and i am too sick and tired opf things like these and to learn them..i just wished this camera for when i go on the lake with my SUP and that's it...didn't knew is such a pain to edit everything you record, just hate this...
It will be interesting to follow where this technology goes over the next decade. I am speculating that people (or at least the pros) will get tired for the fisheye effect. Currently the fisheye view is a bit of a novelty, but it will get old after just a couple more years. I am guessing future 360 camera systems will come with 3 cameras, then 4 cameras, and like today camera angles will be chosen in software.
Thanks for the review, but I sincerely wish that you "reviewers" would stop regurgitating the same "5.7K but only 1080p if you are using it like a front-facing action cam..." If you need a 4k directional action cam then buy that! If you need a 360 cam that shoots 4k then there are ones on the market that 2 to 10 times more expensive than this one. The camera does what it is advertised to do and does it well. Only when you make it try to be something that it isn't does that assessment fall apart. If I were a cheetah I could run 70 miles per hour, but I am a human and, therefore, very very slow. True? Only if you want me to be a cheetah.
Hey so I think the GoPro would provide you with better image quality, the Insta360 would be great as an extra camera to get the shots the GoPro simply can't get. Hope this helps.
Is the specific editing software required with this camera? I currently use the GoPro 7 Hero Black and edit all of my videos on WeVideo. Any idea if I could do the same with this camera?
Hi there I have a one x2 but I feel like this seems better for my use for my daily works and travel video as I find myself mostly using 180 for my x2 Do you think I should keep or sell my x2 for the go 2? Transfer speed even on wired for x2 is quite slow too that's why I am considering the go 2
Hi can you run a test on this camera. To exhaust the battery recording 360 without it overheating. I think this is a design fault with every single one. Please send reply if you manage to test this. Or try without battery still overheating Thank you Les
hey, great video! my question is regarding continuous recording? i need a small action cam that can record for about an hour with out stopping, can this do the job? i am interested more so in the go 2 but dont think that will do the job either. cheers
Clearly a promotional video, the presenter acknowledges he received the product (which has a $ value) for free from the manufacturer, yet he failed to mark the video as containing promotional content. Misleading.

May I suggest lowering your insta 360 when recording. You will get much less distortion. But really great review
