Hey guys
In today’s video I will be showing you my favourite 'top' translucent/setting powders for dark skin. This is mainly aimed for people with problematic fine lines, deep set under eyes and dry skin. As a beginner in makeup I have tried a lot of powders to see which one suits my skin type. With a combination of my problematic issues this can be quite difficult to find the 'perfect powder'. But as requested I wanted to show you my favourite powders out of my makeup collection and hopefully this will help some one. I will also explain my powder applications and reasons why I apply my powders the way I do, using this method
and show casing my favourite powders allows me to help achieve a flawless makeup base for my skin type

Thanks for sharing! I have a few of the ones you mentioned! I have the beauty bakerie one in plantain and also the darker shade for setting all over. I also have the Laura Mercier honey and deep (tend to use the deep all over and honey under eye). Too Faced peach perfect in caramelized peach (since I’m your matte shade twin). I know I have deep or dark in black Opal (for setting all over) and then the CT in 3 and 4. I’m realizing I like to have one color for under eyes and one for setting my whole face lol I have too much damn stuff!! ❤️

Hunnayyee!! That Charlotte Tilbury is like a photo filter in a pan. If I'm ever doing anything for my IG I only teach for the Charlotte Tilbury for my face and pat mcgrath under eye setting powder (purchased during black Friday) Facetune who?? Yeah I don't need ya. I also grabbed the chocolate banana based off your videos but got to say my Mented powder is my everyday setting powder. Whether for concealer or all over I just love the finish and only need a lil bit

@@chayennemilano7473 can't say one is better because I use CT for all over the have where as I use pat for under sure only. If I had to pick one I would probably go with post because I can use other powder/primers to get a similar finish but for me the under eye powder is chefs kiss, for my skin type.

I try to use loose powder but I don’t like it! I set my under eyes with the pressed one from no7 using a brush. Yes to a concealer video - ooh! 💕
I’ve heard good things about the No7 powder! Do you use a lighter shade or a shade that matches your skin tone?

Me too! My friend has one shade for under eye so lighter then her skin tone and one shade for all over her face
@@smileyshani2252 I use the translucent one ( Aurbrush away finishing powder ) under my eyes, I haven’t tried the other one yet. If I set my face I use Mac Mineralize skinfinish. 💕

Right after my 50th birthday is when I decided I wanted to learn makeup application, I was mostly focused on eyeshadow, but fairly soon, I became obsessed with my base makeup, complexion products. Learning my undertone and shades took a while, but then I realized the wrong setting powder can ruin the foundation and concealer I’ve worked so hard on and now I have a drawer full of setting powders that I’m about to declutter! Last month I finally got the Laura Mercier in Medium Deep and I love it for the perimeter of my face, love Honey for my undereye concealer. Boxycharm Premium gave us the Fenty setting powder in the shade of our choice and I got it in Cashew which Jackie Aina uses a lot and it is my favorite right now.
Would Love for you to do concealers, I purchased bought the Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Infinite XL concealer after watching you!

I love your hair and your glam could you do a foundation, highlighting and contouring routine. When ever you film these type of videos and you have this glam it always looks nice and I think it would be great as a "go to video" whenever you do reviews on other products

This vid is perfect right now, as many of us (many being me) are renewing/improving our collections, and girl God know sometimes everything looks perfect and flawless until you hit that "lord have mercy" setting powder and suddenly your face look like trash.
All that being said the beauty bakery have me hooked to try it since you mentioned some thousands subs ago, i have the black opal ones and they look great i also have the black radiance "cocoa kisses" that i use on top of my moisturizer sometimes when i don't feel like wearing found and it's great too.
And yes to your favorite concealer video, your tribe needs some guidance. 😅

I recently bought the Laura Mercier honey (still haven't tried it 🙈🙈 girl, you know we are stocked at home🤣🤣🤣 ) before, I was using the revolution pro setting power the one in the pink box or the cheapest translucent pressed powder on the market (MUA)🤫🤫🤫 don't say anything ( I know 😄😄) there both make me look grey🙄🙄🙄 hence why I decided to go for Ms Mercier... hopefully it the correct shade for me 🤷♀️
