I am Romanian and I respect Hungarian Orthodox Christians. Hopefully this will bring us closer. I am part Transylvanian and I don't want to have conflict with anybody. May these two countries prospere together as Christ wants. 🇷🇴☦️🇭🇺
My patron saint, Saint Margaret of Scotland, was raised in exile in King Stephen's court and he is credited significantly with shaping her profound faith - which she would eventually bring to the people of Scotland. Thanks for another beautiful video. 🤍👑
I had the great blessing to attend Saints István & Hierotheosz church all summer as a catechumen in my family’s homeland. I know they are praying for us. Hiányoztok és imádlak titeket ❤️
Awesome video! Love how you include "further reading" in the description. Also a video on The Icon of The Last Judgement would be really sweet as there's so much going on there.
i know that at least at one of my ancestors on mother's side, my great-grandmother or maybe great-great grandmother was born in Austria-Hungary and baptized Orthodox, and glory to God, I am the first in my family born in the United States to be baptized Orthodox.
I love learning about the Saints and the Orthodox religion. I hope to attend an Orthodox Church someday, but where I live, I will have to travel far. 🙏❤️✝️🇺🇲
Thank you for making us discover the inexhaustible wealth of the Saints of our Church. Saints idea for videos : - Saint Brendan the navigator - Saint Feodor Kuzmich (he is probably Tsar Alexander the first) - Martyrs of Lyon - Saint Clotilda queen of Franks - Saint Theodora wife of Saint Justinian - Saint Lazarus of Serbia - Saint Anthony the Roman
Great video, learnt more about this remarkable man, king and saint. Explains why Hungarians have been so patriotic and brave over the last 1000 yrs. He also reminds me of the great Croatian King Tomislav who brought the Croatians together into a strong united Kingdom several decades before.

Árpád is a Biblical name which appears in Bible as one the leaders of a tribe that Assyrians have exiled and when we look at the root word Árpa meaning Barley it is a coat of arms associated with house of Joseph which is why Ugar,UnGar,InGar,HonGri,VenGri,WanGer...OnoGuri or so called Hungarians where known as alliance of TEN Tribes since the Biblical Israelites where a Scythian tribal alliance hence ÁRPÁDIAN dynasty did actually understand that they are mentioned in Biblical stories which is why Hungarian ÁRPÁDIAN dynasty had a King Dávid as well.
He reminds me of King Saint Alfred the Great. His piety, his conflicts with pagans, the importance in history he played, even down to the very recent canonization due to Orthodoxy coming to the West.
So crazy that Istvan Pendragon Jenkins managed to unite Ingary 500 years before the import of paprika or the birth of the Witch of the Waste, genuinely astounding 🇭🇺
Great channel, sir. One thing to add, it is anachronistic to talk about nations in the mediaeval era. I know it's used very loosely in modern English, but back then, this term referred to the nobility only, not to the whole country or land.
I saw Istvan and for a split second I thought it was a video about the battles in the Istvan system during the Horus Heresy......but then I saw the title and I was like......."Dang my Warhammer 40k fandom is no joke!" Lol
