    I have a few questions to ask (for clarification, I have not tried using any of the power units yet and have not put batteries into the battery packs).
    1: Do the battery packs use a specific type of battery? If so, what batteries do they need?
    2: Does the smaller battery pack turn itself off, or do I have to manually switch it off?
    3: Does using the receiver with the bigger remote control follow the same rules as using it on the smaller controller (red output receives from red input and blue output receives from blue input)?

      1- AAA for the small battery box and AA for the big one
      2- It’s a simple battery box with an on/off button. So, no it doesn’t turn itself off until you use the on/off button.
      3- Yes. Both remotes work same except that the big one (which was made to be used as a train remote but still works as a simple remote) has dials to choose different speeds (-7 to 7) and a stop button in case you want to stop the motor without searching the neutral point on the remote.
      Did I answer your questions ?

    How long does the small battery pack last for?

    • @Gravibrick
      @Gravibrick 2 місяці тому

      In a reasonable use and if you don’t stress the motor too much, it can last a few months I think… I rarely change the batteries with my frequency of utilisation. (I use a technic battery box so yours will last less time) But if you run a train for hours, your battery level will lower faster and the motors will feel the pain of rolling for a long time in one go…

    Do you need the receiver to operate the Lego Christmas train??? I just want it to move forward and backwards and don’t need to adjust speed. Can you operate the train with just the hub and train motor (using old power functions system)

      I just bought a fake motor with the small battery box and the LEDs on a pack
      The motor is fast and has good torque so it’s not easy to stop and it’s pretty quiet ( it gets even quieter when you load it)
