Kaya umaalis kahit mayaman, mahirap, malaking sweldo...change of environment.

I know of 2 bank president from our community back in the Phil. that came here. One personally, while the other thru a good friend. But unlike Charles were able to purchase multi-room house once they got here. Both would rather remain discreet.
Same as Charles, I have a number of kids since childhood that were pampered with household helpers until we arrived here that have no inclination of going back.

Maraming military bases ang US all over the world at marami na tayong allies re. Wps kaya di magkaka war. Isa lang military base ng china. Hindi magkakawar. Marami na tinulungan ng US like now . Yung Ukraine. No Charles no worry. Google mo ang power ng US. At tumulong tayo sa mga war nila kaya may US veterans tayo. Right now hiyang hiya na ang China sa mundo. At nakaabang ang Japan at a few other allies.

Profession and Postion are not the same factors when coming to Canada or abroad. Kung mataas ang position mo sa Pinas, hanggang lang doon sa iyong kompania and anytime, either magsara or malugi. Whereas if you are a professional going to Canada, you yourself is a profession which is an advantage in looking for a job. There are many Filipino engineers, architects, doctors, nurses, lawyers who migrated to Canada and US. Just a few requirements, magagamit na ang profession especially in the US because we have same curriculum in Bachelor's degree. Unlike sa Canada, kailangan ng schooling.

I didn’t watch the full video but in my opinion, everyone has their own reasons why they migrate to Canada. Mababaw man o malalim man ito, it’s our choice. Let’s us not put down the Philippines completely. I’ve been in Canada for decades, the Philippines have made improvements.
For most of us who were born in the Philippines, we will always have a soft spot for our old country.

Not being pessimistic but lahat po ng issue sa Pinas eh problem na in decades.

It doesn't matter if a public official has already been exposed to politics early in their lives, or if they're rich or poor etc etc. What matters is RESULTS. In the case of PRRD, are we going to take it against him for being a mayor for so many years and his dad was a former governor? Hindi ba mas maganda nga yun dahil may experience yung tao, alam niya ang pang araw-araw na problems ng Filipino and more or less he already has an idea on how to deal with it kaysa naman ang uupo sa pinaka taas e walang kaalam sa pangangailangan ng masa? His foreign policy speaks for itself- being neutral. I don't remember a president of ours in recent memory who has pivoted to that, pivoted to making reconnections with Russia and strengthening with our neighbors including China. Eh karamihan nung mga nakaraan eh maka Anemika, san tayo nakarating? Are we really being treated fairly by them? Nadamay tayo sa posibleng gera na wala naman tayo kinalaman in the first place. The very same reason why Charles wanted to go out of the country.
Having said that, there is no perfect public servant and/or president. Lahat yan may baggage one way or another including Duterte. However, sabi nga ng guest na si Charles Amoroso, ang importante kasi ang mga nakaupo ay may pagmamahal sa bansa natin and I totally agree.. PRRD is the only president in recent memory who has it. Kung ayaw natin maniwala o duda tayo sa mga nakikita, naririnig o nababasa tungkol kay PRRD dahil baka pakana lang yan ng mga PR people niya, you can ask the legit psychics and empaths in the Philippines, ramdam nila kay PRRD ang pagmamahal sa Pilipinas. Almost everyone else in politics ayaw nilang lapitan kasi iba talaga yung vibe or negative energy ang ramdam nila. Lalo na daw yung asawa ni.....
Unfortunately, it doesn't take one person to change the country. While it helps a lot that the person on top has the integrity and political will, sadly the people around him or even other public officials and employees in government may not share his vision or worse have their own vested interests. Change really involves everyone. Can you imagine a plunderer nakabaik pa bilang senador? It takes a lot for our country to change.
So kung mangyari na bombahin ang bansa natin, eh di at least that is the restart button siguro natin.

I don't understand all this talk about future of the children. What's stopping a 22-year old Filipino Graduate from moving to another country and establishing a career there? There's no rule that says you have to go to High School and University in Canada to live in Canada. There are hundreds of thousands of graduates from foreign countries that move to the UK, Australia, US, etc or go there as International Students. With a 400K pesos a month salary one can easily support an International Student in these Western countries. Seriously, why sacrifice my hard earned career when my kids can decide and move abroad if they wish to. Who knows, maybe they want to stay in the Philippines. I'm a Parent and I raised my kids to decide where they want to live after they Graduate as that is their independent decision as an Adult to make, not mine. I'll be honest, if my parents moved me from BGC to frigid Halifax I'd be pissed off.
