- The Blight, a catastrophic event that has plagued Thedas multiple times in history. Hordes of dark, tainted creatures emerging from underground corrupting anything they touch. And at the head of the horde; an Archdemon. There have been five Blights in all of Thedas's history. But how did it all start? Who, or what unleashed this darkness upon the world? ye isnt it weird that as it goes on the blights are getting weaker? Maybe they are starving for magic that is blocked by the veil
It's possible, though I always figured it was because the Grey Wardens were accumulating institutional knowledge as the Blights went and therefore getting better at fighting them, with the exception of the Fifth Blight where such knowledge didn't play a large role.
