Yes, I don't see why you can't. The only reason I can see needing to do that would be if the connector or contacts within are beyond usable. The connector is for there to facilitate replacement of the two pulse generators.
@@TomAsay64 It's a common failure point on these bikes. The stator wires run hot and melt the plug. That can ruin your stator. I did my first Goldwing, and my second had already been done when I got it.
