- Here in South-east Ohio we have had some unusually warm weather, getting up into the 80's in the last couple weeks. It gets me excited and I want to plant plant plant! However, it's still risky and I've already lost a flat of tomatoes and pepper seedlings because I was impatient.
On the good (warm and sunny) days, I have been working on the Hugelkultur beds, cleaning up the area around the house and using the debris to fill the beds. NOW I'm giving them all their final top of soil. It will take another week to finish them.
This video is about filling the beds and to show you what has been happening since the "Is it Spring Yet?" video 3 weeks ago.
Looking good Sue. Thanks for the update
These garden beds are looking great!! Cant wait to see them filled out with vegetables and flowers
Me too!! Can't wait for you to see them yourself in just a couple more weeks!
I hope you have a bountiful crop. We've had fickle weather in Alabama too and I hate cold weather. To me Summer is a beautiful time when the temps are up high enough that day or night you can go outside without considering wardrobe. The only cold air that I want is in the fridge and coming out of the air conditioner.
I don't think it will ever be summer again. lol. hot a couple days, then dame cold and rainy for a week. ugh. You need AC in Alabama in the summer don't you...pretty humid isn't it? And you know that's next....after the cold it will get hot and humid. Where is spring? Weather.com says next week (it's always next week)
