I am a native midwesterner transplanted in the South. I enjoyed that familiar midwest tone and sense of humor which I miss! I do love Aldi and purchased a tent from them years ago that has seen casual use and done fine. I am always willing to take a chance on their stuff. Camping on a budget is better than not camping at all! Great humble and entertaining newbie review. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for such a nice comment! It’s always fun to start a new hobby and to enjoy it. What’s the camping scene in the south? Is it as popular as it is in the Midwest? I’m hoping to get some more camping / fishing in this summer and make some more videos 😊
Do you think it would float if it were on water I mean like if you had to use it as a boat or if you were stranded I mean you say it has to layers but would it float do you think like a water boat also I love your dog and the shot of the sunset would the dog sink it in the water at sunset do you think or would it be ok? I tried asking aldi but they wouldn't tell me and no other reviews mention it
Hi no I don’t think it would float on the water if it were to be used as a boat or if you were stranded I mean I said it has layers but nothing makes it float also thank you for loving my dog and the shot of the sunset the dog would swim but not float like a boat technically not sure if the sunset would impact this! Sorry that Aldi didn’t get back to you and I’m glad my review helped you
Awesome! I used it again last weekend and if you’re tall like me, sleep with your head facing the door. You have much more space for your head 👍 Happy camping 🏕️
@Definite_Dave It did help me understand, however, I found that I lacked the strength to bend the wires into the 'figure 8.' The procedure to break down reminded me of how to bend car windshield sunshades into a small circle.
100% agree. I tested it out with two people this weekend and it was a tight fit for sure. Perfect for one guy and his dog though. Or it would be a good option for kids to use.
2 person tent? Is that for 2 x 8 year old boys (Pre-puberty?)???? That is not two adults with gear size tent. I am curious how you "DEFLATE" that air mattress.
I’ve camped in it again with another person and we are both 6 foot + tall. It was definitely tight and we didn’t have room for gear inside the tent. I would thing this tent would be great for 1-2 kids to camp in! I deflate the mattress by folding it up and putting weight on it. Once most air is out, I close it up and roll it up tight. It can be a bit tricky to get right.

@@Definite_Dave it is but not so much in the summer (at least for me). Too hot! Shoulder seasons are better.
That's a comfy looking tent, Gator Man

Nice video. I just bought one today. Keep up the great work.

I purchased this for $29.99. Pleased with setup, but cannot get it broken down. Trying to figure out how to fit it in my car so I can return.
It can be tricky! I have a video on my page for folding it back up. Give it a watch and leave a comment if you can’t get it

That is a 1 person tent, 2 person is really 1 person, 4 person is really 2 person and so on

@@Definite_Dave As someone who buys a lot of tents to prep i can say, get a 4 person tent

Common sizing used by tent manufacturers. 2 people sleeping side-by-side with no room for supplies.

This is a good thing to know. Maybe a educational video on ticks would come in handy
