@Patrick Whelpley ive digged deep into it and david leberhart and james quall are really like how they act. theyre really weird people, not bad or anything, just weird. leberhart really believes in the "palladians" and weird stuff he talks about it. its called "christian science" ....not at all related to christianity from what i can tell besides in name
@Patrick Whelpley i was way too enamored with this and did so much research... apparently quall fell on hard times and was a literal crack-addict and homeless a few years ago. Luckily he is in a better place now but yea. Things got a bit hairy for him there. I think tim and eric are doing all they can to be fair though, they gave Leberhart his own show on channel 5 which I'm sure he was paid generously for. The reality is james quall and leberhart are both a bit ...mentally deficient. They like to make people laugh though, so dont feel bad for laughing at their comedy. Just thought id share what I learned . Also, Kaz has a facebook and will accept your friend request if you add him. He is a bit odd and stand offish though, fair warning.
god i love tim and eric's non professional actors. james quall is so genuine that its almost painful and he puts out genuinely good jokes sometimes. bless his heart
There is a strange sense of lowkey nostalgia to this. This is like something I saw on local TV when I was really young or something. I can not be the only person who feels that.
It's like the "Weekend Movie" the local ABC affliate plays because they need to fill air time cheaply and this was the only movie they didn't need to pay a licensing fee lol
As a kid who watched a lot of local TV in the late 80s and early 90s (mostly because we didn't have cable), I can say that nobody has nailed that aesthetic like Tim and Eric.
We're gonna have the best time yet, a summer that we'll never forget. All over Malibu - there will be so much to do! We just arrived at the shore... we'll surf the biggest waves and more - This week's forecast: It will be a Beach Blast!
A lot of people swear that James Quall really does have a disability after meeting him in person, but I keep wishing and hoping that he knows he really is funny regardless, that the world isn't making fun of him if he has a disability. No one would just laugh a disabled person for being awkward in general; James Quall, either through genius or genuine disability, indeed tries to make people laugh, and he accomplishes it. He really deserves a lot of respect.
This makes me feel like if all the random bits in people’s heads became real, tangible things the moment they think of them without any editing or restraint or anything. And I mean this in the most genuinely loving way possible. It’s incredible.
This skit carries a strange energy of a nostalgic situation that soothes me yet bores me and I long to remember and also experience at least one more time
Say what you will about Tim and Eric, but they've really perfected what they do. Did you notice the white text bleeding on the black background of the title card? Little details like that really sell the whole package, it's just the package itself is ridiculous is all.
Who can forget John A. Hill in such classic films as: -SuperBrad (with the Kitty Kat Man himself, Mike L. Cera) -24 Leap Lane and 24 Leap Lane Pt. 2 -Conflict Beagles -Cash in My Sack -The Hound of Hollywood Boulevard -Old Peoples' Kids -Get Jimmy the Greek to the Turks (and my personal favorite) -F***ed Up
If you're introduction to Tim and Eric is via the UA-cam algorithm and the very fact that Jonah Hill is in the clip you find yourself asking if James Quall and David Liebe Hart are a couple of well known minor celebs you had just never heard of somehow.
I'm pretty sure that David Hart is clinically a schizophrenic, but nobody is certain what's up with Quall. I read once that that weird thing he does with his lips, where he sort of raises and tightens them up, is a common side-effect of anti-psychotic medication. And considering how he acts just as weird in public as he does in the show, I think it's safe to say that he too is mentally ill. He and Hart are actual neighbors irl too...
David Liebe Hart is most certainly schizophrenic. I used to talk to him on the phone. He has delusions about aliens, which is what his song "Salme" is about.
Eh, I meet guys like James once in a while. Definitely just seems like a cool guy a bit on the spectrum. Who knows though, I just think him and David are great nice guys!
Squality entertainment, this is a great job. Impressed that Jonah would take this on, you have to shine brightly to get noticed if you are on stage with James.
i want to live in the alternate universe where james quall and david liebe hart are the most well-known and beloved entertainers of our time
They are in my world
Except Grum from The Pilgrums would also be real, and that's scary.
It's now 10 years later and your wildest dreams have now become a reality!!!!!
Wait who are the most beloved in your universe?
you are definitely a later comer
I love any movie with John A Hill. His performance in "The Wolf of Quall Street" was fantastic.
Gary Dodson 😂😂
I much preferred his film Moneyquall though
Those are QUALity puns....
I disagree. It was an obvious and derivative rip off of a far superior film "The Quall of Wolf Street"
You guys are crazy. You’re forgetting his performance in 21 Quall Stand the sequel, 22 Quall Street: Going 2 Quallege!
james' expression after "you're by best friend and the best roommate I ever had" was perfect
He’s like “I know, I know” very Bruleish
I'm not convinced he knows what is being said or going on.

You forgot the question mark.
James is just a dang hunk who isn’t a very good listener....sorry James
BARBARA STREISAND more like
Blood Satellite He talks like that often throughout the show.
If it was (algorithm insert actress name here)

James Quall - (throws books) “OH YES HELLO”
(Elaborate handshake/dap) "Hey...ho...ho...hey..."
James Quall is so hard to watch I fucking love it
If you think that is hard to watch try his standup. He knows what he is doing..
I love how he just keeps on throwing his books in this clip

Doug Lussenhop deserves a lot of credit, he brought everything together very well. Sort of reminds me of a modern day Terry Gilliam.

For your health.
Looks like a Quallity film

Tairy Greene is a gift to cinema. A true auteur. I would watch anything that he directs, and "Back to Squall" doesn't disappoint.
Look at the title card. “A CINCO FILMS Production”
Now I know it’s a movie I’ll enjoy.

I would happily watch this movie over anything out there.

They nailed it very well with making it seem like it's a movie trailer from the 80s.

how is one minute and nine seconds an entire movie, tv channel and era all at once??
I can’t wait to kick back with my Pep-Pep on the couch and watch this later today!

Being a child of the 80s this activates my nostalgia. It seems like something I saw.
I love the idea of naming a movie after one of the lead actors
I like how Quall always drops his books
