Texels, Merinos and Alpacas are my faves! Till now I've had a few Texels, recently got one Lunkarya. I really love curly piggies, they're the prettiest for me, you cannot change my mind haha.
They are beautiful pigs!! I had a baby pig come from breeding two silky short hair pigs that looks like the Lunkary pigs. It must run in the genetics somehow. I was shocked. I referred to it as a teddy bear pig. It is a female and so, so sweet!!
you bought just one? you must have two or more, but not one They are social animals, they need company of another guinea pig, no one animal or human can replace another piggy
@@KatrinaLoveBeautifullove oh, i'm talking about the piggy have a another piggy as a company, not making family i prefer bonding female with females or male with male, no female with male i doesn't like this cuz i think this is kinda sad, but it was your choice i hope the piggies are doing well
Me too. 💔🤗😔😍 But they're so cute, it's easy to look at them like toys 😭. But I know, they're actual living, beathing creatures. I got two boys, different breeds. If I got a curly one, a baby one, I wonder if I could make that work 🤔. They both seem loving enough. When they wanna be. Squeak
Loved the video there all so beautiful I have a texel and I just love her she has the sweetest personality I got her by chains when I adopted her I had never seen a Texel before new I can't think of not have one she is so sweet. But chances of me ever seeing a nether Texel her were I live are slim .:(
Celery is not good for their digestive system. The tops (leaves) of celery is fine, but the part that shreds is not. Try radicchio, wheat grass, and an occasional carrot or banana/apple slice as special meals/snacks. My baby loves spring mix as a regular meal. Sometimes I’ll switch it up with live butter lettuce or artisan lettuce for a week. I’ve tried all of the listed foods and that’s basically all he likes
Okay Pierce, I think it's fair to note that since my abduction of Dorthy was an utter failure, attempt 2.0 will be made with one of the lunkies, at next available opportunity :P seriously though, excellent video! And the whole building bridges person in me totally loved the piggles bit there at the end
if i have any babies or adults available i post them on our Facebook page city pigs or our tumbler city pigs blog ,,i always say which in a photo will be available if one ever is.
GoldenVulpes They're a lot of extra work. Not only do they need daily grooming to check for mats, which can become harmful if left unnoticed, but they can make basic health problems more difficult to notice due to their thick coats and curls. For example, something like a cut or a cyst may go unnoticed for much longer than it would on a shorthaired pig. Hope that helps!!
GoldenVulpes a texel could have a foot long coat in one year, thats a lot of grooming and care, and although it may seem as simple as , "just cut it" it isn't always that easy with a small nervous animal, and if a large matt did form close to the skin, removing it becomes a 2 person job even for the best of us.For me it so WORTH IT ! :) but a trip to a cavy show will tell you not many of even the most experienced guinea pig lovers choose to work with the long hair breeds, a smooth coat or teddy can have up to 100 entries in ontario a texel, maybe 4 :(
They look like smol sheeps
SO CUTE
Omg IAM dying. I loved the piggie that did a popcorn flop with some squeek added.

cute, they looked like poros from league of legends
why do you say curly coated guinea pigs are not for beginners?

CityPigs Caviary that's great information, thanks :)
It depends really. They require more maintenance, but out of all curly breeds, Lunkaryas are the easiest.
My guinea pig had one of these kinds of guinea pigs and neither of the parents were that breed and it was like the brown one u have
all about piggies its very possible that both parents carry the curly gene as its recessive to straight hair
O thx
