Nothing wrong with him supporting his wife but i felt he was being a little shady. As the most awarded star in Grammy history, Beyonce doesnt have anything to prove to me or anyone else. Her place in history is solidified, but aparently all of this isnt enough. Its clear she REALLY wants Album of The Year to the point were its feels like they are throwing a tantrum about it. I feel this only will diminish her win when she do get it since most people outside of her fans are going to think she only got it because such a huge fuss was made about her not having it.
If I was a talented musician I wouldn't give an "f" about winning Grammy awards because I'm not the type who feeds on validations. Me and my talent would be enough for validation. There are lots of talented musicians who have never won Grammys and I can guarantee you that they are far more talented than those that have ever won one. Winning awards should not determine your worth, you should yourself.

Why do music artists get their songs recorded and published?
Is it to win a grammy or an AMA award that drives them?
If so, then they better be prepared for the inevitable disappointment that comes with it.

then they will always experience just how great their accomplishments are for the everyday miliions of individuals globally. Perhaps they mau not buy the music, perhaps they may not buy the entire album.
But that one or 2 songs
resonates with them personally.
And they truly enjoy what YOU did.
Joni Mitchell once said that it means so much more to her when she overhears and sees some person she has never met, singing along to one of her songs on the radio. That sticks woth her far longer than some music trophy she stuck up in her closet.
The best part of being true to yourself as an Artist or Musician is your music is like fine wine. Eventually people will stumble across your sound years later & appreciate it. 👍

I don't think it has anything to do with sales. Beck won Album of the Year against Beyoncé too. His album wasn't even Gold at the time of the Grammys in 2015. It went gold later. Plus, the Grammys have said over the years that their voting is not based on record sales, album sales, streaming, numbers, and or popularity.

Post Malone was also nominated for Album of the Year that year and his album sold more than Kasey's by a landslide in 2018. Beerbongs & Bentley's sold more than The Golden Hour. So, don't tell me that it's based on sales because The Recording Academy has said over the years that it's not true and that's not based on their voting criteria. Imagine how Angela Bassett felt when she kept winning Golden Globes and SAG Awards, but no Oscar for the longest? Mariah Carey who is the only solo artist to have the most number one songs has never won a grammy for album of the year. Nirvana, Madonna, Prince, Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, Marvin Gaye, Pink Floyd, Elton John, and The Rolling Stones has never won album of the year either. All those artists have written their own music too. If I'm not mistaken, Beyonce does not write her own music for she only performs.
If all those talented people who write and perform their own music then Beyonce not winning a grammy for album of the year makes sense. Based on clips I see of her concert she is a good performer. However, the grammy votes on what an artist produces from studio and not a concert.

I think Jay Z's remarks were uncalled for during the Grammy's. I understand his frustration but to let it out during this event was shameful. That wasn't the only thing I didn't like at the Grammy's. I felt Taylor Swift snubbed Celine Dion. It took a lot for Celine to get up the strength to be there and I understand Taylor was excited but, it just seemed that she was not grateful for the effort Celine went thru to present her with that award.

I don’t feel Taylor Swift deserved Album of the Year at the Grammys on Sunday, and think it was just given to her to break the record of Frank Sinatra and Stevie Wonder for the sake of it.

And that’s something Beyonce a woman in her 40s should say instead of having other people do it for her. There are other female artists both black and white of the last 20yrs far more deserving of the awards thay’ve mostly been given (not won fairly).

Taylor Swift had already won Album of the Year three times previously. Now, she's won it for the fourth time. More than any other artist. Then, you have other artists like Beyoncé, Mariah Carey, Usher, Madonna, and etc who have never won the category. I think Beyoncé has every right to be upset, ask questions, complain, and etc if she wants to. She didn't do anything wrong.

When you are doing something you are passionate about you wouldnt care if you recieved an award or not because regardless its something you love to do and dont need a shiny recognition trophy to tell you and prove to others you are doing your thing. And if jayz felt that he shouldnt of accepted the award he got nor went up on the stage

But you just had one voter the other year said that they wasn’t voting for Beyoncé because they didn’t feel that Beyoncé needed the award well that means that they’re not judging her based on her music and Judge her based on what she’s accomplish.

Beck‘s „Morning Phase“ was an epic album and a well-deserved AOTY. He wrote the songs, played the instruments, produced it, etc.
I still listen to it today. It is timeless.
Adele’s win over „Lemonade“ was a bit weaker in comparison, but it happened. Adele was almost ashamed and apologized more to Beyoncé than anything else. I am also wondering why Beyoncé never apologizes or praises other artists that were in the same category as she was when she wins. Go figure….
