This is aimed at Jun , just so you know that doughnuts do not need to have the trademark hole in the middle for it to be one. If it is the same type of desert or fried confectionery but has no hole then it is indeed still a doughnut. Have fun.

I love Japanese onomatopoeia! They're so much cuter than English ones. Like how "chu" is much more adorable than "smooch". My favorite one is probably the onomatopoeia for hunger, "pekopeko"

My favourite Japanese word is 人形 (にんぎょう)(Nin-gyou). It means doll, and the kanji literally translates to human form.
I also just leaned that 人魚 (にんぎょ)(Nin-gyo) means mermaid and the kanji translates to human fish. This is why I love Japanese.
So if you had a mermaid doll, I guess it would a 人魚人形

Okinawa weather is just like Hawaii weather....and Florida. Where it could be bright and sunny on one side of a parking lot and then complete chaos on the other. Wayyyyyy too common but I can't say that I don't love it. Lol

I know the entire ocean system is massive, but only a very small fraction of that produces food that we eat. How is it possible that, that tiny percent can supply Japan with enough let alone the rest of the world. Just in this one Fish Market on this single day is seems like it would deplete the entire food supply for months if not years. Simply amazing!
I like the switching between the 2 groups. That was fun, but I wish we could have seen a little more of the sleep in group.

Nearly perfect English speakers asking what the word is for something, or making an understandable mistake (sugar/salt) is so adorable and kinda jarring as a native english speaker. I love it.
Also interesting how juns 'come here' was subtitled but not a lot of the other stuff..

I love that little market on Kokusai, theres a lot of crazy things down there.
I like the "suspense" of will they find each other. Sort of like a storyline.
Both my favourite word and one of the ones I find hardest to pronounce is おっちょこちょい (not even sure how to romanize it - occhokochoi maybe?). It means like a clumsy person, but not in a bad way. My friend in Japan introduced me to this one, such a cute word and fun to say!

Bakabakashii is like "ridiculous" or "nonsensical", where the flavour is like saying the thing being described is dumb/ridiculous/unimportant and so not worth paying attention to.

The star fruit, called five finger in my country, when it's green it's tangy, but when it's ripe it's really soft and can sometimes taste sweet, count yourself lucky to find a super sweet one. Also you can make juice out of it. And next time put salt on it especially when it's tangy :D you can also put it in a salad.

Wow, you found wild Coenobita rugosus (species of terrestrial hermit crab)!! :O I used to keep a few of those, though they were never really too happy. Loved eating Nori, though. About the only things these picky Okinawan crabs would eat was fresh mango and Nori >
