0:00 hi everybody today i am gonna go ahead 0:03 and show you how to 0:05 install virtualbox guest additions on 0:08 your 0:09 uh newly installed kali machine so let's 0:12 get to it 0:13 i can 0:14 start it up from here so 0:16 yep there we go 0:18 no need to use the terminal to start it 0:20 we already have it installed so let's 0:22 boot it up i already have my virtualbox 0:24 guest additions installed 0:26 and the reason why i installed them 0:28 before i gave the instructions and not 0:30 went along with it as and not recorded 0:32 as i actually did it the first time 0:33 around 0:35 well i 0:37 the screen is really small and it's kind 0:40 of hard to squeeze things in there so i 0:43 figured i would install it 0:45 expand the screen 0:47 and then show you on a full size screen 0:50 uh all the things that you need to do i 0:52 just think that that's 0:54 a little bit more efficient 0:57 for you to be able to see everything as 0:59 opposed to just looking at things on a 1:01 really small screen 1:03 so let's go ahead and log in 1:07 hopefully you agree with me 1:09 there is nothing different that you need 1:11 to do it's like absolutely the same 1:13 things 1:15 so 1:16 let's go ahead and fire up the terminal 1:19 expand it 1:20 i'm going to zoom it in so you all can 1:22 see like these big chunky letters 1:25 and let's go ahead and type in app dash 1:28 get 1:29 update 1:33 and up and then 1:36 app dash get upgrade i've already done 1:39 it so it shouldn't be long for me 1:42 just going to check 1:43 but this is the first thing that you 1:45 should do aside from checking your 1:47 internet connection of course 1:49 with a ping so if the for the ping is 1:51 functional it's all fine and dandy 1:55 uh now the next thing that you need to 1:57 do is basically just type in app dash 2:02 well let's go ahead and clear the screen 2:04 first 2:05 app dash 2:06 cache search 2:10 header 2:12 graph 2:14 i 2:14 linux 2:17 and then type in you name 2:19 r and let's match the output of unnamed 2:21 r to these linux headers that's four 2:24 zero zero kali one amd64 2:28 four 2:29 zero zero kali all four zero zero kali 2:33 all amd 64. 2:36 meta package so we can go with the meta 2:38 package 2:41 or we can go with the specific one 2:44 let's go with the method package 2:47 i'm pretty sure you would be able to go 2:49 with both of them 2:54 there we go press enter 2:57 working working working 3:06 anytime now my good man anytime 3:10 i know it can be a little bit tedious 3:13 but no big deal and after you have done 3:15 all of this uh now you're gonna 3:19 just in case just in case repeat this 3:22 again app dash get update and app dash 3:24 get upgrade 3:26 just in case 3:28 because you wouldn't believe how many 3:30 problems arise from just not staying up 3:32 to date with packages 3:34 and now we're gonna reboot the machine 3:38 so just go ahead and reboot it 3:41 no big deal should be relatively fast 3:43 shouldn't waste too much time and then 3:45 afterwards we're going to install the 3:46 guest additions reboot the machine one 3:48 more time and that will be the end of it 3:51 that is literally all that we will need 3:53 to do nothing else nothing uh super 3:56 important there 3:59 okay so go go go 4:03 these messages can be a little bit 4:06 annoying but i think you can make them 4:09 go away if you just click the other 4:11 thing aside from the x 4:17 so let's go let's go come on anytime 4:24 ah 4:25 waiting for these things 4:27 so next thing you need to go is to click 4:29 on devices and say insert 4:33 yep so mine is already inserted no big 4:36 deal but for you it will insert it 4:40 and there's 4:41 there's no point to insert twice i mean 4:43 i could technically remove it and then 4:45 insert it again 4:47 don't think that there is much point in 4:48 doing that 4:49 so just go ahead and do this cd 4:54 media 4:56 cd 4:57 uh cd-rom zero ls and there you go then 5:02 do cp 5:03 vbox linux editions to 5:06 [Music] 5:08 uh 5:11 wait 5:12 root 5:14 desktop and i already have them there 5:17 but you will be able to copy them i'm 5:18 not going to copy them twice that was 5:20 the command that you needed to run 5:22 then go over to 5:25 uh 5:27 desktop 5:29 do ls you'll see virtualbox guest 5:31 additions that here i can run them one 5:33 more time no big deal 5:37 it's going it's going the installation 5:39 is gonna go forward shouldn't take too 5:41 long again i know i know it's a little 5:44 bit tedious to just wade through these 5:46 things but hey 5:50 okay 5:51 building 5:53 the headers for the current kernel were 5:55 not found 5:57 okay so yeah this thing these things can 5:59 happen but no big deal it should still 6:02 run through the whole process and you 6:04 will have like 99 of all the 6:08 functionalities here that you will be 6:10 able to utilize any way you 6:12 choose and please as long as the full 6:14 screen works and as long as the 6:15 connection works and as long as the copy 6:17 paste works 6:18 you are good to go 6:23 okay so there you go that is all you 6:25 needed to do now all you need to type in 6:27 is reboot and upon reboot you will be 6:29 able to use your virtualbox with full 6:31 screen and pretty much all the 6:33 functionalities that it has to offer 6:35 by the way at the end of this i really 6:39 like 6:40 did not expect things to work out with 6:42 fedora 22 with kali 6:45 2-0 or with the new virtual box because 6:47 all three of those systems are 6:49 practically brand new 6:52 and 6:53 uh things with systems that are brand 6:55 new tend to be buggy tend to be 6:57 problematic and so on and so forth so i 7:00 really didn't expect things to work out 7:02 but for the most part they did 7:05 anyway i bid you i hope this was first 7:08 useful to all of you who were struggling 7:10 with this setup and i bid you all 7:12 farewell
Funciona en la versión 6.5 de Kali solo que el comando de los headers no sale all, pero leyendo la descripción se coloca la correcta y funciona. Gracias

hi everybody today i am gonna go ahead
0:03
and show you how to
0:05
install virtualbox guest additions on
0:08
your
0:09
uh newly installed kali machine so let's
0:12
get to it
0:13
i can
0:14
start it up from here so
0:16
yep there we go
0:18
no need to use the terminal to start it
0:20
we already have it installed so let's
0:22
boot it up i already have my virtualbox
0:24
guest additions installed
0:26
and the reason why i installed them
0:28
before i gave the instructions and not
0:30
went along with it as and not recorded
0:32
as i actually did it the first time
0:33
around
0:35
well i
0:37
the screen is really small and it's kind
0:40
of hard to squeeze things in there so i
0:43
figured i would install it
0:45
expand the screen
0:47
and then show you on a full size screen
0:50
uh all the things that you need to do i
0:52
just think that that's
0:54
a little bit more efficient
0:57
for you to be able to see everything as
0:59
opposed to just looking at things on a
1:01
really small screen
1:03
so let's go ahead and log in
1:07
hopefully you agree with me
1:09
there is nothing different that you need
1:11
to do it's like absolutely the same
1:13
things
1:15
so
1:16
let's go ahead and fire up the terminal
1:19
expand it
1:20
i'm going to zoom it in so you all can
1:22
see like these big chunky letters
1:25
and let's go ahead and type in app dash
1:28
get
1:29
update
1:33
and up and then
1:36
app dash get upgrade i've already done
1:39
it so it shouldn't be long for me
1:42
just going to check
1:43
but this is the first thing that you
1:45
should do aside from checking your
1:47
internet connection of course
1:49
with a ping so if the for the ping is
1:51
functional it's all fine and dandy
1:55
uh now the next thing that you need to
1:57
do is basically just type in app dash
2:02
well let's go ahead and clear the screen
2:04
first
2:05
app dash
2:06
cache search
2:10
header
2:12
graph
2:14
i
2:14
linux
2:17
and then type in you name
2:19
r and let's match the output of unnamed
2:21
r to these linux headers that's four
2:24
zero zero kali one amd64
2:28
four
2:29
zero zero kali all four zero zero kali
2:33
all amd 64.
2:36
meta package so we can go with the meta
2:38
package
2:41
or we can go with the specific one
2:44
let's go with the method package
2:47
i'm pretty sure you would be able to go
2:49
with both of them
2:54
there we go press enter
2:57
working working working
3:06
anytime now my good man anytime
3:10
i know it can be a little bit tedious
3:13
but no big deal and after you have done
3:15
all of this uh now you're gonna
3:19
just in case just in case repeat this
3:22
again app dash get update and app dash
3:24
get upgrade
3:26
just in case
3:28
because you wouldn't believe how many
3:30
problems arise from just not staying up
3:32
to date with packages
3:34
and now we're gonna reboot the machine
3:38
so just go ahead and reboot it
3:41
no big deal should be relatively fast
3:43
shouldn't waste too much time and then
3:45
afterwards we're going to install the
3:46
guest additions reboot the machine one
3:48
more time and that will be the end of it
3:51
that is literally all that we will need
3:53
to do nothing else nothing uh super
3:56
important there
3:59
okay so go go go
4:03
these messages can be a little bit
4:06
annoying but i think you can make them
4:09
go away if you just click the other
4:11
thing aside from the x
4:17
so let's go let's go come on anytime
4:24
ah
4:25
waiting for these things
4:27
so next thing you need to go is to click
4:29
on devices and say insert
4:33
yep so mine is already inserted no big
4:36
deal but for you it will insert it
4:40
and there's
4:41
there's no point to insert twice i mean
4:43
i could technically remove it and then
4:45
insert it again
4:47
don't think that there is much point in
4:48
doing that
4:49
so just go ahead and do this cd
4:54
media
4:56
cd
4:57
uh cd-rom zero ls and there you go then
5:02
do cp
5:03
vbox linux editions to
5:06
[Music]
5:08
uh
5:11
wait
5:12
root
5:14
desktop and i already have them there
5:17
but you will be able to copy them i'm
5:18
not going to copy them twice that was
5:20
the command that you needed to run
5:22
then go over to
5:25
uh
5:27
desktop
5:29
do ls you'll see virtualbox guest
5:31
additions that here i can run them one
5:33
more time no big deal
5:37
it's going it's going the installation
5:39
is gonna go forward shouldn't take too
5:41
long again i know i know it's a little
5:44
bit tedious to just wade through these
5:46
things but hey
5:50
okay
5:51
building
5:53
the headers for the current kernel were
5:55
not found
5:57
okay so yeah this thing these things can
5:59
happen but no big deal it should still
6:02
run through the whole process and you
6:04
will have like 99 of all the
6:08
functionalities here that you will be
6:10
able to utilize any way you
6:12
choose and please as long as the full
6:14
screen works and as long as the
6:15
connection works and as long as the copy
6:17
paste works
6:18
you are good to go
6:23
okay so there you go that is all you
6:25
needed to do now all you need to type in
6:27
is reboot and upon reboot you will be
6:29
able to use your virtualbox with full
6:31
screen and pretty much all the
6:33
functionalities that it has to offer
6:35
by the way at the end of this i really
6:39
like
6:40
did not expect things to work out with
6:42
fedora 22 with kali
6:45
2-0 or with the new virtual box because
6:47
all three of those systems are
6:49
practically brand new
6:52
and
6:53
uh things with systems that are brand
6:55
new tend to be buggy tend to be
6:57
problematic and so on and so forth so i
7:00
really didn't expect things to work out
7:02
but for the most part they did
7:05
anyway i bid you i hope this was first
7:08
useful to all of you who were struggling
7:10
with this setup and i bid you all
7:12
farewell
Thanks!
Welcome!
eureka - it worked
good to know
Funciona en la versión 6.5 de Kali solo que el comando de los headers no sale all, pero leyendo la descripción se coloca la correcta y funciona.
