the real trick is getting someone to ignorantly install the apk file and skipping through the permissions and what they do to your phone. if this is imbedded through an apk online someone is looking for I could see this being used.

No it's not that hard. You can use adb to install anything on the phone connected to your computer with USB if it has debug mode on, which most people do.
Adb was a tool for Android debugging, and you can do many things with it if you have debug mode on, like click on screen, reboot, and in this case: install app.
You might be thinking, why would someone connect USB to your computer?
Well, you can setup a free USB charging thing with adb behind, and install it secretly.
Note that it will install it secretly, like they won't even see a prompt that asks them if they want to install it or not.
Oh ya, and I love to use adb when I downloaded an apk on my computer but wanted to install it on my phone. So I don't need to somehow transfer the file, adb will do this for me

If you have an anti camera or microphone app installed that blocks access to those things until you press "unlock" on the app, does that prevent this hack from being able to take picture or record or use the camera and mic? If I try myself from my phone it will say it has blocked access, but will this hack be able to bypass that without unblocking the block on the app first?

I appreciate your in-depth and practical cyber services. I'm a Mac user, but we've always had android phones. We just got our oldest iPhone because it's what the cool kids have. We're trying Bark, but even with Bark and screen time, we don't have near the controls and information that we have with Family Link. If Apple would at least make an Android app that would allow parents to manage screen time and family sharing from an Android phone, that would be helpful. For now I have to physically go to my MacBook to approve app installs, seems like Apple could make this a lot more practical for real parents, not just everybody who has only/all iPhones. If you feel the need to do this *Johnsonspy* is the right source ,it's just heart wrecking.

I actually have a question that I was hoping you or your community could answer.
Until recently I had this messaging app Telegram installed on my phone. I think I have been on it once or twice, also noticed there are some group chats. After noticing those only contain NSFW stuff I didn't use the app any more. Then I noticed that the app had automatically downloaded all shared files from those groups to my phone, so my phone got cluttered with bs. I guess the default setting is to auto download and I know this can be disabled.
Now I was wondering, would it be possible for someone to send a malicious file (be that an image, video or whatever) that is able to infect a phone through the auto download feature of this App?

Actually yes, but i dont know if Telegram, whatsapp etc. have an antivirus build in. You could hide a file in a file and send it as one. Its easy as hell and scary tho

and I was quite impressed with the accuracy of the
locations. I went to the locations and saw who he was
with and where he was going John, delivered as
promised, the GPS tracker and being able to see his
messages and call log was extremely useful. I had an
issue with the GPS tracking for a while and after
contacting them their solution solved the problem. They
got back to me very quickly and their advice worked.
This exceeded my expectations and is better than

go to settings and check the permission of the app. you might see somthing
Normally these app use an empty icon and empty name, so if you go to Config. > Apps you'll see a suspiciously empty space inside Apps which you can click (sometimes its the LAST one) and from there just uninstall it.
Since these apps mostly don't rely on root, they are sandboxed (can't "spread") and can be removed by simply uninstalling them like I said above.
This one in the video, as it appears, had the name "Google Framework", which will appear just like that in the Apps list. If you find if, just uninstall it.
Don't be afraid, you can't remove the wrong "Framework" by mistake, as REAL system apps CANT be removed just by tapping uninstall.
You could go into storage and look at downloaded apps

Not without an auxiliary exploit. Or if you just send it to the person and they're stupid enough to install it. This is basically what happens in the Mr. Robot scene where Trenton hacks Mobely's phone. Except she uses the stagefright exploit to get the meterpreter thingy on his phone, instead of just outright installing it.
