Hi, I was astound you did this kind of video trying to make a simple life as it is. A typical family way of life of an ordinary filipinos in a rural area. I guess this was a great notion for anyone else here at YT that most vloggers just show good food, nice places, beaches and great night life but you made something different to show how life is hard as could be for others. Salamat for doing this.
Laura and John, I love the way you brought up your kids, spiritually and emotionally. This challenge they have experienced knows no bounds! They will appreciate the value of friendships and compassion towards other people who have limited resources in life. May God bless your family.

The will have a great impact to be a better person in the future, they will realize and understand the value of life..Lora and john you did a great job for your children.
Kabayan! I just remembered,.. the hardest part living in the palaisdaan was constructing the pilapil. I remember carrying a block of mud bigger than me (I was only in grade 6 back then.) I admire the two of you trying to get out of your comfort zone, especially Laura. Always ingat on your adventures, kabayan.
I'm proud to be from and live in the United states. But I definitely feel us Americans take a lot for granted. And not on purpose. Although a lot of Americans struggle to feed their families especially with the inflation. But for sure compared to other countries it's definitely gravy here. I wish we all could experience other countries and their struggles. I think it would be an awakening. God Bless and stay safe.
The kids are definitely learning and being brought up well rounded. Experiencing simple life and having a lot of fun! Teo is so cute talking so much 🥰. Your kids are so cute!

I am so proud of you Lora, John and kids for doing this and thank you for reminding me how my life today is easy and at times I take it for granted what has God blessed me and my wife. Amazing job and by the way I love your oldest son knows how to cook rice and measure water using his fingers - Dip the tip of your fingers straight down into the pot until they just touch the rice, and add more water until it reaches the first joint of your middle finger. Bravo and congratulations!
You guys are amazing! Your kids are awesome & adapted so well to the new environment. Love this series! ❤ I don't know if I would be able to do what you did & be so graceful about it. I bet you are super tired. Great job! Take good care.

At girl scouts, there was an exercise where you had to make fire with a single match and asking for further matches would result in demerits 😂 my group failed miserably 😅
Lora, did you skip Girl's Camp? You should know fire 🔥 starting! Yes, people here in the US generally have so much comfort, they think up problems to have. (1960s mouse utopia experiments).
Many of the conversation about Universal Basic Income is that it allows for people and families to have a "breather" and to not be so overwhelmed from day to day and month to month living. We can more to ensure our brothers and sisters have the means and can afford to take a break. The gauge to society is how it's communities care for their old young disabled and less fortunate...
