- Hi friends! How was your Easter? In today's video I'm sharing my recent thrift store shopping trip at the KARM store in Knoxville, Tennessee. I'm also sharing some clips from when Laura and I went to NYC and visited a thrift store in NYC (SoHo area) called Housing Works Thrift Store and Bookstore. Apparently it's where one of Taylor Swift's music videos (All to Well) was filmed. And finally I'm sharing my thrift haul from both stores! I hope you enjoy this video. KARM is a thrift store in the Knoxville Tennessee area that helps the homeless and feeds them meals. KARM stands for: Knoxville Area Rescue Ministries.

I’m so glad you and your daughter enjoyed your time in NYC….there are so many wonderful things to do/see. There are numerous Housing Works location throughout the city. I always pop into them when I pass by one, because they usually have nice things, but I find them to be a little pricey so I never buy much from them. I love all the things you got in Knoxville, and the prices are great.

I grew up in NC and drinking Pepsi. We drank Coke sometimes too, but Pepsi was our favorite. They had a commercial at one time calling it the pride of the Carolinas. That was actually an amazing price on that crate. I've seen them for $30.
Oh well that’s neat! I grew up in Georgia and didn’t spend much time in the Carolina’s so I had no idea. 😆 I thought the price was amazing! They’re usually priced more than I want to pay. I was happy! ❤️ Thanks for watching and visiting with me today!

Gosh prices are high 😮 that’s how some are here in Texas but I noticed that the not so great areas with goodwills have the best and lowest prices
Yes I’ve noticed that too! Sometimes I’m blown away at how prices are. It’s like you could buy it NEW for those prices! 😅😤🤯
My mom had that set of tin canisters that says coffee when I was younger, I’ve seen that several times.

Yes, I’ve said in a lot of videos KARM has higher prices but they are working to help and feed the homeless in the Knoxville area so I still shop there! Definitely not the cheapest!! 😜😅

Hey girl! I'm going to get to that Karm store one day!😄 I really liked that first picture you picked up. And the sweet little rocker, so cute! I want a little red one, i have one on my porch but i want a real small one for inside. Love the needlepoint piece❤ I have to tell you.. last night i picked up a gorgeous, really detailed 8 piece silver coffee & tea set.. and several pieces of sterling silver silverware & servingware, a bowl, several small platters and candlestick holders.. all silver!! I was elated!!! There were some other things but yes it was Too good not to tell you😄 The old onion chopper.. my mom always kept one. Yep.. its Mercury Glass! Love the Pepsi crate, good price! I had a Coke one years ago with the 24 single slots i used for a shadow box for minatures. And a wagon made from a coke crate. Where i grew up in NC we had a large Coca Cola bottling plant and we had a Pepsi Distributor Plant. They both closed years ago. I had lots of friends that worked for both. I'd like to find one like that one, all i find is just the box with no dividers. I love how you styled it.. looks so good!!❤ The coffee tin is at least 40+ yrs old, its part of a canister set. When I moved out at 19 i had the complete set..Flour, sugar, Coffee, tea and the bread box. I kept the bread box for many years till it started rusting. Lol I'm telling my age.. its vintage😄 I don't know if they're still making them, but if its the original, its vintage! Hope your week is going good as well..TFS😊

I didn’t realize the coffee tin was part of a set so that’s neat! Several people have said that. No one mentioned a bread box so that’s cool. I’ve been keeping my eye out for a bread box. Not sure what I want yet but I figure I’ll know it when I see it. 😆
Everything you got at KARM I would have gotten except the plaque about Tennessee. I love New York City..I've only been there 2 times on bus trips..if you ever go again, go to Serenedipity restaurant for a hot chocolate...take care. Prayers for your daughter.

I shop at KARM a little bit but would buy more from them if they weren’t so expensive on some items. I have found shoes there as much as $35. Most of the time it is a good store to find quality items. I think you found some nice items. I’m glad you did well. Thanks for sharing your haul. I was just in that same KARM store recently.😊
Yes they definitely have high prices sometimes. I felt like I got lucky this time! Maybe will run into each other sometime! That’s really neat. What a small world we live in!

My son lives in Knoxville, and every time I thrift there, KARM is way too expensive in my opinion. I like the church thrift store closer to downtown.
They are expensive. I still love shopping there! They feed the homeless and I’m blessed and feel like I can support their ministry. ❤️

Oh wow! I kind of feel like it depends on which store I go to. KARM is definitely on the higher price side! I’ve never been to Iowa. Do you have a lot of great second hand shops in your area?
