I'm a 43-year-old Japanese person living in Fukuoka, Japan. I never thought that the day would come when I would be able to watch my favorite song, Journey to the Past, sung by my beloved Aaliyah, who returned to heaven at a young age, in high quality 4K video...I would like to thank the person who posted this. thank you. 😭🙏

I love Aaliyah music but we can't assume she went to heaven. That's just wishful thinking. Before her death she admitted to being involved in the dark side🫥

We all done things we regret, on the dark side, were humans but we done good things to, God and Jesus Christ will, can for give us for our mistakes, it's all about trying be better, I'm sure Aaliyah is forgiven, so it's nothing wrong saying She's in God's Kingdom, Rest Baby Girl Aaliyah 💐🕊️🙏💞

Aliyah song from the Movie Anatassia by Disney. The Disney cartoon format revolved around the life of Princess Anatassia of Russia, the entire royal family were murdered by the Bolsheviks or communists. Great song. Some years ago dna tests were done to identify the bodies and the Late Prince Phillip had to donate his DNA and it was a match they found the bodies of the murdered Russian royal family. Aliyah really brought it in this song and so sad that she just like a princess Anatassia, passed away at such a young age.

I am a white gay male and I am very fortunate that I got so see her career I remember the exact first time I heard "Are You That Somebody" this was also my first introduction to Timberland. I was so in awe of just how effortlessly she just went up and down in her range and how fucking smooth she transitions between each part was I would of love to seen her and Left Eye colab or her and the whole group of TLC. I am not pleased I can not find Aaliyah version of this exact song except here on UA-cam, and to the person who made this happen thank you so fucking much the quality is just fucking phenomenal. I am smiling cause this was what I need today

Aaliyah was a talented singer and actress.
I remember seeing a documentary about her on MTV a few months after her passing: it showed her at the Tuileries fun fair in Paris, France, taking a ride on the catapult bungee, and agreeing to take a picture with one of her fans. She seemed genuinely happy to meet her fan, and said it was important for her to be nice with her admirers, adding "You've got to love them all!" So I believe she was a genuinely nice human being as well.
May you rest in heaven, Aaliyah, we miss you so much.

    LYRICS
    Heart don't fail me now
    Courage don't desert me
Don't turn back now that we're here
    People always say
    Life is full of choices
    No one ever mentions fear
Or how the road can seem so long
How the world can seem so vast
    Courage see me through
    Heart i'm trusting you
On this journey to the past
    Somewhere down this road
    I know someone's waiting
Years of dreams just can't be wrong
    Arms will open wide
    I'll be safe and wanted
    Finally home where I belong
Well starting here my life begins
    Starting now I'm learning fast
    Courage see me through
    Heart I'm trusting you
On this journey to the past
    Heart don't fail me now
    Courage don't desert me
    Home, love, family
    There was once a time
    I must've had them too
    Home, love, family
I will never be complete until I find you
    One step at a time
    One hope then another
Who knows where this road may go
    Back to who I was
    Onto find my future
Things my heart still needs to know
Yes, let this be a sign
    Let this road be mine
Let it lead me to my past
    Courage see me through
    Heart I'm trusting you
    To bring me home
    At last
    At last
