Saki, great review. I wanted the pixal expierence so on Cyber Monday I picked up the 3a XL. Wow-we, I'm still in shock, what a camera. With portrait photos it tops my S10+, yikes. The OLED display is excellent. The 670processr works well, no lags or stutters. I highly recommend this phone. I got it for 4oo.oo bucks including tax, not to shabby!

The OLED display is very nice, the battery 6to7hrs SOT, not bad. Stereo speakers, the return of the jack & the 670processer, no lags or stutters. At this price I would recommend this phone to anyone. Everything works well & for the money it's a very good experience, very good review!
I'm coming from an iPhone 7 Plus too! You can get up to $260 in credit if it turns on and doesn't have any cracks on the screen when you do a trade-in. Awesome deal that gets you the phone for less than $200!
Tina Trinh I have one small scratch on my screen since I don’t use screen protectors. You can barely see it though. Samsung would give me 300 if I bought the s10 plus but then I’m still paying 700 bucks.. 🙄
Great review, I use the s10+ and luv it but I'm buying the 3a anyway. That camera, pure android, 3.5, and the updates. Dated design but I luv the polycarbonate build, plain & simple. Much better than glass sandwiches. Yes, there are better cheaper more ram & storage but THAT CAMERA, there is no finer, yikes especially at 399.00!

Pleasntly surprised the way it performs. The camera is best in class. If you want a fun phone for cheaper while not breaking the bank, this is it, highly recommend!
One of the things you fail to point out when you mention that its the same camera as on the Pixel 3, is the fact that it uses a different algorithm than it's big brother when processing photos. Also, another thing you fail to point is another fact. The fact that it has less processing power with a SD670 and a lesser GPU, which also affects the camera's ability to process a photo.

How do you set up the voicemail ringtone for this phone? I was able to to it, even though it was hard to find, on my G9 Pixel 3a. It's ridiculous that it it is either not there, or it is too hard to find.
OK you might argue it's not for me but if you mingle around with other people and find out they didn't know that their iPhone 8+ was water resistant maybe you'd understand better. Look it's good enough for people who want it to make calls use FB and messenger and take a pic now and then (surprise I had to explain to someone they had google Assistant). But as i said, most aren't even aware the Pixel exists. Samsung, on the other hand, is everywhere with like a zillion models to choose from. Look at the stats and see what sells and it's not the Pixel not even in the States.

It's going to be pricier in europe for one thing and I can't imagine running around with two phones just because some people think it's got a great camera. i want the whole package in one phone....this has cut too many corners. Average person doesn't care about the camera....one is the same as any other. So this is for the minority not the majority. Basically you're buying a glorified camera. You can't game on it and it looks slow even from here lol. The design is outdated and yellow power button...seriously...what am I six??? The averageperson will look at that...then at one of the Samsung phones with 3 cameras and some are cheaper and say "hey that must be better it has 3...this has just one"
Just got mine. Loving it so far. Having a great camera just makes a phone feel so much more enjoyable.

I’d seriously consider this as my next phone coming from an iPhone 7 Plus. Either that or wait for the pixel 4xl
