Powerful track. Lost my Father 14 months ago to suicide by gunshot. Lost my best friend of 35 years 2 days ago to suicide by injection. Life is hard, I am harder. I won't give up. With everyday that dawns, we have an opportunity for new found happiness. Gotta keep pushing. I'm not ready to fade out. This song makes me feel a little better. Thank you.
So when is Nothing More going to make the Nothing Less album. The acoustic versions of your songs are awesome and they deserve a proper release. Can't wait to see you guys live again.
1. This Is The Time (Ballast) 2. Mr. Mtv 3. If I Were 4. Just Say When 5. Here's To the Heartache 6. I'll Be Okay 7. Gone 8. Fade In/Fade Out 9. Jenny 10.God Went North 11. Till The End (Motorhead Cover-- RIP Lenny)
My brothers and I lost our Dad 8 days ago, and will lay him to rest on Saturday as a cancer fighter. I've loved this song a long time, but it hits so very much deeper now. Thank you for recording this version and sharing it.
My father-in-law passed from melanoma 7 months ago. The cancer got to his brain and he couldn't talk anymore. He would get out an occasional word, but for the most part he would just look at you and wink. When I was alone with him in hospice, i sat by his bed and asked him for his daughter's hand in marriage. I told him no matter what happens after that day, I love his daughter more than words can say and I will keep his daughter safe. He told me he would be honored and that he loves me like a son already. Once my mother-in-law and my fiancee got back, he gave them a thumbs up and asked for whiskey to celebrate and I had to leave the room because I started bawling. This song brings back all of those emotions I was having that time. From when I was practicing how to ask him to the feelings of when he passed 2 days later. Same with God Went North. Thank you Nothing More.
THIS is how this song was meant to be played. Got me choked up. Fucking love you guys. Cant wait til you come back to the DC area. An acoustic tour would be amazing.
Lost my dad (best friend) last September and struggled to find a reason to get up each day. If it wasn't for my son I wouldn't be on this planet right now or care to be. Nothing More lyrics rock and keep me going..."I'll be okay" wow Acoustic on Serious is my all time favorite...Seen them live last year and the "ROCK"!!!
3:10 This scream always gives me chills. I don't know why, but the number of times I've listened to this song just for this one moment is frankly embarrassing.
been going through a lot with my family lately. havent been speaking to my dad much. this song came up on my spotify playlist and goddamn if i didnt start cryin. nothing more will do that to you. these guys are among the best out there right now.
Lost my brother July 12, lost my brother in law August 12, lost my mother September 12, lost a good friend September 27. Spent the month of October, caring for my father, he is 86 and fading out. This song rips my heart out of my chest and hands it back to me, still beating. Fates help me survive this year.
I wont type out a story of sorrow. Life hurts like hell. I've had a road few were fortunate to travel and all I can say is that this band. This music. This voice. The melody and this song have brought me up and out of hell the past few weeks. Please johnny and the rest of nothing more dont lose that light the rest of the world has seemed to have lost. You all have so much wisdom and strength and passion with what you do and I'm so happy to live in a world where your music is present. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
NoMo brings out all of the emotions when it comes to modern core music. I have seen them 5 times live and they NEVER leave anything on the stage, these guys put it all out there and in the meet and greet go out of their way to thank you for using their music to get you through hard moments in your life. These guys are legit and I wish that they would get so much more rich just because of what they do for men that are in their 20’s who are vigorously trying to find out who they are. ❤❤ NoMo!!🤟
my grandpa has face cancer and he has always been a father figure to me. we can tell he isn’t going to last much longer , and i’m deeply fearing the day he passes. he took me to my first concert , taught me everything i know about cars , and has always made sure i follow my dreams no matter what. he’s always been there with all of my problems , even when he didn’t know how to handle them. he won’t go to the doctor because his wife passed (my grandmother) and he very much wants to be with her. i know i’m selfish for wanting him to be here but when he passes , i feel like i’ll be heartbroken forever. i was heartbroken when my grandmother passed (she was my mother considering my mother hates me haha) everytime i listen to this song it gives me hope that my papa will always be there for me 🤍
Just the other day I looked at my father It was the first time I saw he'd grown old Canyons through his skin and the rivers that made them Carve the stories I was told He said: Son I have watched you fade in You will watch me fade out I have watched you fade in You will watch me fade out When the grip leaves my hand I know you won't let me down Go and find your way Leave me in your wake Always push through the pain And don't run away from change Never settle, make your mark Hold your head up, follow your heart Follow your heart Just the other day I stared at the ocean With every new wave, another must go One day you'll remember us laughing One day you'll remember my passion One day you'll have one of your own I say, son I have watched you fade in You will watch me fade out When the grip leaves my hand I know you won't let me down Go and find your way Leave me in your wake Always push through the pain And don't run away from change Never settle, make your mark Hold your head up, follow your heart Follow your heart Follow your heart Follow your heart We all get lost sometimes, trying to find what we're looking for We all get lost sometimes, trying to find what we're looking for I have watched you fade in You will watch me fade out I have watched you fade in You will watch me fade out When the grip leaves my hand I know you won't let me down Go and find your way Leave me in your wake Always push through the pain And don't run away from change Never settle, make your mark Hold your head up, follow your heart Follow your heart Follow your heart When the morning comes and takes me I promise I have taught you everything that you need In the night you'll dream of so many things But find the ones that bring you life And you'll find me That's where you'll find me That's where you'll find me That's where you'll find me That's where you'll find me That's where you'll find me That's where you'll find me That's where you'll find me
I lost my father 12/2/20 - This song has been the most therapeutic song I've heard... My father had a lot of negative things collecting around him towards the end, he also hid the fact he knew the end was near.. He gave me significant clues but I was in denial... My older brother died from cancer in '89 when I was 1.5 years old... This song... This song... If you've been there you understand... I love the fact the guitarist wrote this when his son was born as a tribute to his own father (if I remember correctly, his father is still living) As a fellow guitarist and musician, You've done your job in writing this song. You did what I never could. You honored your father, BEFORE he was gone.
Thank you for your commitment to creating powerful and beautiful art. I lost my dad to a heart attack this year. Believe me, this song hits home. Not many songs can touch a person so deeply. Respect, blessings, and love. 🙏🙏🙏
Goosebumps the whole time. Nothing more does nothing but blow me away. Has been and always will be my favorite band!! Keep up the amazing work Johnny and crew!
Going through my old music lists, and found this, and is hitting so hard right now, my grandma, who always was there for me growing up and helped to raise me is not doing good, and is really hard to watch her fade out... this song is everything i've been feeling for the past month, thank u!.
Never settle...make your mark. (but most importantly) Follow your heart! Amazing job, as always, Nothing More guys!!!! Keep rockin'! Now come back to Columbus OH to perform as the headliner...we miss you!
This song hurts so bad... i lost my grandfather two years ago due to corona, and since everything seems to be going downhill. Today in saw a drawing of him i made and i came back to this song to grief for him. U where a father to me Antonio...
Thank you for this song. I have not listened to such an emotional text for a long time, and until that moment I almost never cried on songs. May life protect all loving fathers, they have no price.
The story in this song is amazing. My father passed suddenly in March at the beginning of all the Covid shutdowns. We lived several states away so visits were years apart.
I am crying, this song is so strong and emotional, the acoustic version made it even more emotional the sound of Jonnys voice touches my heart and gives me goosebumps! Their acoustic sets will never disappoint me! 🙏🏽 Looking foward to seeing you guys live again one day!
Id never heard if you guys untill today, fade in/fade out popped up on a spotify mix, it instantly peaked my interest, i listened to it again then youtubed this song and this came up! What a powerful and so well done song! Instantly pulled me in and im now a fan for life, i love heavy rock bands can strip it all back and do a recording like this, it leaves you with nothing to hide and lets all your talents shine through! Totally impressed 👏
This song really puts things into perspective for me. Makes me cherish the time I do have left with my father but watching him.get older and not being able to do the things he used to do really hurts I wish i could do them for him but it only makes him mad when I try too help him.
I've always had a difficult relationship with my own father, he was very abusive and unstable in the time we were with him. I saw a picture of him a bit ago and its strange to see how much he's aged i mourn for the father he could have been, and to be at the age my parents were when they had us kids it makes me want to reflect the person he wasn't.
I lost my dad and best friend a month ago, 2 days after my birthday. Colon cancer took over his liver. He went in for emergency surgery to remove his colon on the 5th and spent the next 06 days on life support. All I wanted was to look into his eyes for my birthday but the big man upstairs had other plans. This song has been playing in my head almost every day since. Makes me cry every time I hear it, but it also reminds me to keep pushing forward.
Lost my dad a little over a year and a half ago, stomach cancer that spread to his lungs and liver. This song is so powerful, this version even more so. Thank you for this gents...
Got my step dad hooked on this song after i sang it at a family event with my band he said it speaks volumes about our relationship since hes been the only father figure ive had in life
As a son and a father, this got me on 2 levels. Lost my father to cancer 2 months ago and I have a son who's trying to find his way in this world. Thank you for putting my thoughts into words.
Both versions of this song are absolutely gut-wrenching and I love them. That said, I think this one has a bit more emotion in it for some reason. I think you guys make some of the best music out there right now. Hope to hear a lot more from you.
This song will always be near and dear to my heart, gets me to think about the different things I've gone through in my life, it's provided a comfort, hope to see these guys live soon!!
I feel like this song touched a lot of people who have lost someone, naturally. I first heard the original not too long before my dad passed away last year and this song always chokes me up. The words are not unlike something he would have said to me. Best wishes to everyone in the same boat and I hope the new year treats you kindly.
So amazing guys! So much emotion comes through in this version. Y'all are so talented. Jonny your voice is so unique so good and it sets you apart from anyone else out there. You are able to truly hear the emotion and passion in your voice! Thanks so much you guys for sharing your gift with us all we are blessed!
I reunited with my dad after 15 years after my brother died. This song brings me to tears every time. I want to do a cover of this but I can't get through it without tearing up.
Just when I thought "well, this is nice but it misses that special sound that made me fall in love with this band" Johnny's voice gets more emotional and rough and makes up for it
As much as I love This Is The Time (which was my gateway song into Nothing More), this track along with God Went North are their best songs, from the way they were written to the message in the lyrics. Actually, I'll put all three songs as the best. I've always been a deep thinker and a guy who has felt isolated due to the fact he had to grow up sooner than most, but these guys get it. Seeing a young band write and perform music that is so mature, thoughtful, and compelling means so much to me, and I'm glad they exist. I didn't have the best relationship with my father growing up, and now he's not even in my life, but this song in particular gives me hope, an affirmation of the fact that one day I'll have one of my own, as the song says, and the cycle will break, but everything comes full circle.
Absolutely beautiful and love the music and message you share in every song and track. Thank you for sharing your blessed talents with the world and bestowing us with these powerful, moving passages.
This is amazing and meaningful. Makes me miss my father, he passed away 6 days before my son was born. He missed a great boy, what could have been......Thanks!
All my life, I've watched my dad work hard. Giving up weekends to ensure my sisters and I had a roof over our heads. After hearing this song, and reflecting on how much he has sacrificed over the years, I can't help but feel like a failure. I'm almost 30 and so far my greatest accomplishment is severe depression. I've spent this life as a constant source of embarassment, not only to him but to my other family and friends as well. I wish I could make him proud of me someday, but the more I look around, the more I watch that path fade away. My name, and my deeds, hold little meaning. I wish I could have been the son he wanted.
Depression is not your fault buddy. Sometimes, you have to take a step back, and look at the things you HAVE achieved in your life, no matter how insignificant you think they may be. I hope you have lots of loving friends, and family, close to you that can be there for you when you need it most. However hard it may be keep fighting. I hope you're doing well!
just stunning. This song always gets me and the acoustic version is even more powerful. One day I'll be at one of your live shows but for now it always happens in my exam sessions :(
My God that was some power, that moved my soul. Thank you for the SM. This is better than the Official and it was awesome. Keep moving souls. I pray your fade outs lead to the one who burns brighter that a million suns. His name is JESUS. He has watched us and never left us.
I'm currently sitting with my father in his deathbed. He was up and walking around 4 days ago, but has been vegetative the last 3. I've been singing this to him along with In This Moment's "You always believed". He maybe has hours left judging by his breathing. I found this song to be the best representation of him and what he has always told me.
@@MedorraBlue thanks. Yeah, he passed Nov 30. The holidays weren't the same without him ... He was only 73. At least he got to meet his only grandchild.
@@that_fallout_guy Hey man, I don't know you, but I felt a connection with you reading this. I know there is a void where he once was, but be assured and comforted by that fact that you staying by his side until the end brought him peace and happiness. God bless you, and follow your heart.

I would pay SO much for an acoustic tour. They have amazing stage presence and so much energy. But his voice when it is raw like this is everything.
They played this when I saw them live back in march. It was as close to a spiritual experience I've ever had. Cried through the whole song
Cause we all need to cry a lil more... this is going to be beautiful, I know it.
I never cry, but this song has always made me emotional just thinking about losing my Dad. Such a powerful track.
I just lost my dad august 20 my favorite for my dad's funeral thank you so much for this song nothing more I want to thank you
❤lots of love
If there was a song to reduce a grown man to tears, this is the one. Lost my dad almost 12 years ago. The feels just flooded back!
The breath Jonny takes at the very end just says it all, this song, in every rendition, hits the feels hard.
Lost my dad (best friend) last September and struggled to find a reason to get up each day. If it wasn't for my son I wouldn't be on this planet right now or care to be. Just the other day I looked at my father
It was the first time I saw he'd grown old
Canyons through his skin and the rivers that made them
Carve the stories I was told
He said: Son
I have watched you fade in
You will watch me fade out
I have watched you fade in
You will watch me fade out
When the grip leaves my hand
I know you won't let me down
Go and find your way
Leave me in your wake
Always push through the pain
And don't run away from change
Never settle, make your mark
Hold your head up, follow your heart
Follow your heart
Just the other day I stared at the ocean
With every new wave, another must go
One day you'll remember us laughing
One day you'll remember my passion
One day you'll have one of your own
I say, son
I have watched you fade in
You will watch me fade out
When the grip leaves my hand
I know you won't let me down
Go and find your way
Leave me in your wake
Always push through the pain
And don't run away from change
Never settle, make your mark
Hold your head up, follow your heart
Follow your heart
Follow your heart
Follow your heart
We all get lost sometimes, trying to find what we're looking for
We all get lost sometimes, trying to find what we're looking for
I have watched you fade in
You will watch me fade out
I have watched you fade in
You will watch me fade out
When the grip leaves my hand
I know you won't let me down
Go and find your way
Leave me in your wake
Always push through the pain
And don't run away from change
Never settle, make your mark
Hold your head up, follow your heart
Follow your heart
Follow your heart
When the morning comes and takes me
I promise I have taught you everything that you need
In the night you'll dream of so many things
But find the ones that bring you life
And you'll find me
That's where you'll find me
That's where you'll find me
That's where you'll find me
That's where you'll find me
That's where you'll find me
That's where you'll find me
That's where you'll find me

As a son and a father, this got me on 2 levels. Lost my father to cancer 2 months ago and I have a son who's trying to find his way in this world. Thank you for putting my thoughts into words.
Both versions of this song are absolutely gut-wrenching and I love them. That said, I think this one has a bit more emotion in it for some reason. I think you guys make some of the best music out there right now. Hope to hear a lot more from you.
In love with both versions and can’t help but cry, thank you for this gateway through time
this makes me Sad/ cry just watching my father grow old now 77 ! Thanks ya lord he is still with us !
Was not ready for that. Great song. Start to finish.
Simply beautiful
So amazing guys! So much emotion comes through in this version. Y'all are so talented. Jonny your voice is so unique so good and it sets you apart from anyone else out there. You are able to truly hear the emotion and passion in your voice! Thanks so much you guys for sharing your gift with us all we are blessed!
I love this song so much. We played it at my grandpas funeral so it means a lot
My God tears streaming down my face, heartb pounding....chills all over. So so so powerful. I feel the pain. Beautifully done. God bless
This is my favorite Nothing More song. I've listened to it so many times I can't count. Very happy to see an acoustic version.
To me, this is the real version.
I reunited with my dad after 15 years after my brother died. This song brings me to tears every time. I want to do a cover of this but I can't get through it without tearing up.
Outrageous performance!
Just when I thought "well, this is nice but it misses that special sound that made me fall in love with this band" Johnny's voice gets more emotional and rough and makes up for it
An Acoustic Album is a must!! Absolutely beautiful!
My favorite song from this album ❤
Goosebumps
This song hits close to home very hard for me. Lost my father to cancer 3 years ago this month. These words exactly how i felt during it.
amazing song version!
Love you Nothing More
AMAZING !!!! So glad i stumbled onto this band . Powerful songs !
Easily my favorite Nothing More acoustic cover. So beautiful.
Not a cover, it's their music.
I've spent this life as a constant source of embarassment,
not only to him but to my other family and friends as well. I wish I could make him proud of me someday, but the more I look around,
the more I watch that path fade away.
It's amazing acoustic version of the song
I truly enjoy their music ❤️....they never seem to let me down with their heart felt words .
I lost my father this past Sunday morning. This one hits home.
FOLLOW YOUR HEART
Lost my father on mother’s days morning!
My only regret is that you have a chance to know my children! Will always love you my SuperMan!😘
Hey there... I hope you're doing alright. Hugs from a stranger.
@@Armenius_Catholicus thank you friend. He may be gone, but he will never be forgotten.
Thank you guys for always reminding me why I love your music!!
I just saw you guys in Colorado and now I'm aching for another show
One of the greatest songs ever written! This acoustic version is better than the original. Please prove me wrong. The passion in his voice 🤟
Jonny you have sung my life xxx
You guys are the best!
3:40 that's some holy fucking eargasm right there.
