Wow! I think this is one of the most thrilling matches I've ever seen. Bernie was down 3-0 and I thought it would be an easy win for Lian but what a come back. Both players are amazing! Truly a nail biter matach.
This felt soooo validating to watch! I've played in some very low leagues, and occasionally I've played against opponents whose style and material didn't suit me at all, and I really struggled. Often lost very decisively. Seeing one of the world's top-ranked player struggle similarly (losing 0:11 in the first game, and losing the first three games straight) showed me that this still can happen to the best. Brilliant how Szocs came back, but also brilliant from Ni how she exploited every weakness in her opponent's game, how she placed the balls, and her blocks of even the most spinny topspins... Fabulous.
That's what usually happens when playing against players with Anti Spin rubber. It's extremely difficult to play against them. You have to force them to make mistakes, it's always hard to return their slow ball across the net.
Please film the matches from the side of the table, its much easy to see and watch what both players are doing, having to watch from behind 1 player is not conducive to enjoyable viewing, thanks

The North Korean duo had relied on Kim's unorthodox style to take down multiple higher seeded nations to face China in the finals, and even took 2 games from team China, which is far and away the highest ranked mixed doubles team in the world. Looks like the informal coaching from grandma Ni was quite helpful then.
