    I like these techniques because your initial movement gives you the option of counter striking the opponent or controlling/locking the opponent.

      A technique not most ilongos use.. I don't know where that grandmaster is from though... U need to be fast and now how to exploit ur enemies joints in order to execute those moves properly.

      as strange as it sounds, kicks in FMA almost never go above the stomach and you don't really strike your opponent's legs using your arms unless you're holding a stick to increase you reach. basically, the lower and upper limbs of the body stays on each of their "levels". the spinning kicks you see here are most likely adapted from other martial arts like karate/tkd

      filipino martial arts kali have stick,knife,sword,striking,grapling,take down and counter attack,all arround this not design for self deffence it design to kill fast.this is the martial arts of our ancestors..
