There were so many bad reviews on this pad it ended up driving down the price on REI. I got this pad for a little over $40 and I like it more than my NeoAir Xlite. Shows that media is not always correct!
One main reason I love this trail so much is that you must reserve campsites in advance. This keeps traffic down in a lot of places. Also, the trail is so well maintained that it is nice to hike in all types of weather. Thanks for watching and the support!
He was so happy to get new subscribers so thank you for being a part of that! I appreciate the positive feedback as it gets a little overwhelming at times to keep the content up. When I get positive feedback like this it makes it all worth it. I love hiking and just wish this was the full time gig! Thanks for watching!
Always a good time hanging out hiking and camping with you my friend! Will post this video a week or so. Still have a one last video from Custer State Park I need to post. See ya soon my friend for the next live cast on Oct 30th! Should be a scary good time. Maybe it should be a Halloween Special!
Great little hike Andy! Thanks for showcasing the trail maintenance peeps! Takes a lot of work. Do you have the REI Flexlite Air chair? Looked like it sitting there. We have the same one.
Yep! Love the Flexlite Air and have taken it on almost every adventure this year. I love going ultralight but I have to have a seat at the end of the day. Great piece of gear!
Thank you my friend! Glad to hear that you got a Thrupack with the GC from GGG. Thrupack is such an awesome cottage company and hikers like us help promote their brand on social. Love hanging out with Senior Hiker 77 and MikeP. I think we are going to start doing live streams with guests every month. Good times!
@@MetroOnTheMove Sounds fun! Wish I had some UA-cam peeps around me. Brant & Garvey are 5 hours away and KrizAKoni is in MD several hours away. :-( You guys are lucky to be so close.
@@RVAHikerGirl I wish I had as much drive as these guys do. They are there almost every weekend! They love the PMT! Yes, very fortunate to have several UA-camrs near. Heading out on the Pinhoti this week with Crow, Leonidas, JBEN, Stretch, & Papa John this week for a 50 miler. Let's keep moving!
Hi Metro, it was great running in to you at the trail and thanks for the shoutout on the trail maintenance. Jim Hall is definitely the driving force behind the upkeep of the trail. Have fun on your Pinhoti hike. I went over yesterday and did the McDill overlook hike that Squidly posted a video on last week.
Hi Barry! Thank you for helping keep the trail maintained in such great shape! It was great to meet you as well and the crew from the PMT association. Getting excited for the 50 mile hike ahead on the Pinhoti! Will tell Squidly you said hello and checked out the McDill overlook! Thanks for the support my friend!
Jim Hall and his team take really good care of this trail and that is why we love this place so much. Peak Refuel is quickly becoming my goto for backpacking meals. They are not cheap, but they are very tasty! That live stream was a lot of fun. We are thinking about doing one every month and inviting guests. We will see! Thanks for the positive feedback and support!
Thank you for the kind words my friend! Little Bridges is awesome because of how level the tent site are. Also nice to have the water source close too. The PMT association was doing trail maintenance on a bridge in that area.
That beginning was hilarious 😂 I thought you was giving them shorts instead of stickers too 😂😂 I like those tongues that Senior Hiker had. Strawberry and granola is awesome. So good!!! Nice trip and I can’t wait to go backpacking with you 👍🏻👍🏻
Those guys are hilarious! Imagine if everyone started wearing short shorts like Miyagi. The world would change as we know it! Peak refuel is becoming my go to as well. Thanks for the positive feedback and look forward to hiking with you as well my friend!
These guys are the best people and fun to camp with. We shoot the breeze all night and then hike out in the morning as a team! Good people = good times!
Hello Metro, just saw your PMT videos. Great job? I plan to do this hike next month, itll be my first thru hike. Question, do you know anyone that can provide a shuttle. I want to park my car at the Country Store and have someone shuttle me to the tv tower. Do you have any ideas? Thanks
I would call the main office as they will be able to direct you to a resource. Or, contact the Pine Mountain Trail association and they might be able to help.
Take two! Pretty hilarious moment, there. And it was interesting to learn a little bit about some of your favorite/new gear. How did that water source turn out?
The water was great! The Grayl water filter has a charcoal filter, so it remove viruses, bacteria and other elements. It also helps the water taste and smell better. Just wish I would have bought the larger one. Those guys are hilarious and I super grateful to call them friends! Thanks for watching!
I mean....hahahahahahaha 5:19 there it is again!!!! YOU ARE TOTALLY BUSTING ME UP TODAY! Ok- off that subject. Really good video Metro! Love the State Park scenery and gear stuff. Great work.
Learning a few tricks to filming these adventures. Got to tell the story and make it interesting. These guys are great to hang out with and shoot the breeze. This park is awesome for hiking and camping for sure!
Always love seeing others at the PMT. So many memories on the trail. That is the closest I have ever been to @SeniorHiker77 when he was camping at Little Bridges. We passed by walking our dog and he and MikeP were still sleeping last year haha
Definitely the best state park to hike and camp. I've been to almost every state park in Georgia and I feel that this park has the most options for hikers and campers. Those guys are there every weekend so if you wanted to meet them in person, I am sure they would be up for it. BTW. We are planning to start doing a live show every month with guests on the PMT.
It’s pretty tasty! Definitely one of my favorite trail meals. Can’t beat hanging out with this crew. Good people = Good times! Thanks for the support my friend!
I haven't tried my Grayl yet but can't wait! The fanny might have to go on my Xmas list too! I thought you used hot water at first on the Granola too! Lol. Glad you enjoyed buddy!! The AXL has been awesome for me too. At that price I would have bought like 5.
Pro tip, make sure you turn the lid to open more than you think for air to pass through. That Thrupack is the perfect size for everyday use. Peak is now my go to thanks to you. They need to have you become the official taster of new products with the Buckley rating scale that recently went worldwide. Wish I would have bought more at that price 75% off. Thought they would fail but quickly becoming my go to sleep pad for overnighters.
LOL the beginning,.....I mean LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE IT!
These guys are so natural! Gotta love hiking with this crew. Thanks for the support my friend!
wow the view is awesome 🤩
This place is awesome for hiking and camping! So many options and the views are pretty good too! Thanks for watching and the support!
Another great FDR State Park video. It was cool that you got to see Jim out there doing trail maintenance.
Trail maintainance is a crew that needs a yearly raise
THE PMT IS AWESOME! I know that you are heading in a couple weeks and hope you have a great time out there! Let's keep moving!
I use the same pad and I absolutely love it no issues a year in

Had to night hike out of three forks gap this evening had an annoying bear crash my camp and wouldn't leave
Oh WOW! Three forks is far out in the wilderness so the bears will be bears. Glad to hear you made it out safe!
Been there done that
