Just came across your channel this evening and want to say BRAVO. As a resident of Eastern Oregon, your calling attention to the pioneers who came before us was a wonderful tribute. The amount of time and effort you put into getting your shots and editing is just superb.
Great trip, and you narration at the end was spot on perfect. I agree with you about that first shower after coming off the trail. Heaven. And there ain’t nothing wrong with boiling hot dogs and putting ketchup on them. That’s fine.
I like several things about this channel, first is its just a jeep and a guy doing something awesome, no huge jeep build. I like the historic finds, and I also like that you leave what you find for others to come behind you and enjoy it as well. I just hope they have the same respect for the things they find.
I work in the canning industry. (Double seam technician) The best way to heat your chili is the put the cracked open can into a pot or some similar container filled with water. Like a double boiler. There's plastic lining the inside of any modern can, steel or aluminum. Plus heats more evenly with no burn-on.
Thanks for sharing this video with all of us old Oregon off road explorers and fun seekers of a generation or two. Puts a smile on my face with every one. Reminds me how much I love my state and its colorful past....keep up the good work my friend
Hello my traveling outdoors friend. Thank you for sharing this informative and entertaining video. I really enjoyed it. The very best to you for your good health and safety. 🤗
Another enjoyable video... thanks for sharing. One of my biggest issues is always fuel... you just can never have too much when you are in a Jeep.... and having a 2-door - as much as I like the maneuverability - only exacerbates it...thanks again for the vid!
Like life, many trips start all wrong. How it turns out is up to the driver, the person living the life/trip. I think I enjoyed this more than all your other videos. Coming off the road or trail, into a motel away from home IS a treat! Keep on trekking and enjoying dude.
Definitely not faulting you for this. Yahoo offered me commercial free viewing for the first 15 minutes if I took a quick survey..... I had the first advert in 3 1/2 minutes! 5 commercial breaks by 13:42! Regarding the video, this was wonderful! Impressive condition on the homestead!
Sorry man. I went in and removed some of UA-cams ad breaks but it takes a few hours for the changes to take effect. You just watched the video before they got removed. Should only be 4 adds in the video now. Cheers my friend!
Even thru adversity you always have such a positive attitude. Major reason so many of us love your trips. Spectacular country that State of Oregon. Have a great Christmas and New Year.
Hey Casey. It’s the trips that go tits up that really show our mantel. How you deal with it and turn it around is key. I’m an avid fan of your videos and admire you for your passion. I’m watching from the uk and would love to have the opportunities that you have for travel. Please keep posting your vids, it’s what keeps the fire in my belly alight. Respect from England.
I really enjoy watching you navigate the rougher terrain. I try to gleam as much as I can from your experience. I always imagine what it would be like taking my truck down those trails.
I wound up on that sort of trail in NM, doing a vehicular Continental Divide run. One of these parts was Rangeland and was the proper hiking CD trail, it does link up with 4x4 roads some. My stretch like this, much was 3 mph, and 8-10 felt like flying. Then a bad reminder to get it back to 3.
Thanks for the adventure... I did something similar and drove 6 hrs away from home to southern Oregon, my remote plans was diverted a little but i went to plan B and did car camping and enjoyed the adventure.
Hope you're staying safe on your trips. If you really like some history and older sights you should really make it down here to Arizona have some fun exploring until then keep it safe and enjoy that campfire coffee best part of the morning next to watching the sun peek up and showing all that area that needs exploring.
I really enjoy how you tell the story of your adventures. It also doesn't hurt to have breath-taking views to film the whole way. I can see that you take a lot of time to edit your videos. Great job.
you all prolly dont care but does any of you know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid lost the login password. I appreciate any tricks you can offer me.
@Andy Zyaire I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. I see it takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
I really enjoy your videos . I have a 98 k1500 quite similar to your grandpops. Am outfitting for trips to E.O. next may early June. Have a good friend (86yo) who was raised in Drewsey Or, and he has awed me with a. Plethora of stories of growing up on a ranch. School in Crane, riding there horseback, Sunday, back home Fri same transport. Herding rattlesnakes in front ranch yard, cattle to Steens for summer pasture, etc.. So finally at 76, I'm going out there camping. Maybe see you bumping down the back roads. Keep on keeping on.
Merry Christmas and happy new year. God bless you and be safe. I love watching your channel. Thankyou for everything you do. Take care and be safe. From North Louisiana
Casey some of that country around valley falls reminds me of new Zealand's South Island around Otargo. The Oregon desert not so much. Thanks for a great video. Seasons Greetings.
Great video Casey. Looking forward to the next one that will deal with the area you did recon with your drone. Have a very Merry Christmas and a healthy New Year!
Not too far away from where you camped the first night are some pretty cool petroglyphs. I've been living and working in this amazing country for almost 10 years now. Somedays I feel like the luckiest man in the world.
Also where you camped the second night is close to a geocache. I found it trotting home one day and I had no idea what they were. There also is a really old horse trap made from stone on the west side that is worth checking out.
Been to Ackley camp a few times. Down by the Nevada boarder is a pretty remote area. It is the last dirt road on the left before you cross the Nevada boarder.
THANK YOU CASEY,HAPPY THANKSGIVING,CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEARS...THAT STONE STRUCTURE LOOKED LIKE A PONY EXPRESS BUILDING..THOSE STONES WERE COSTLY AND I SEEN A SIMILAR PE BUILDING SOUTH OF ELKO NV.. I REALLY LIKE LOOKING OUT THE FRONT WINDOW AND WATCHING THE FANTASTIC SCENERY..IM IN MAINE NOW,NOT SURE I WILL EVER SEE THE WEST AGAIN SO YOUR ADVENTURES ARE FANTASTIC! STAY WELL..YOU ROCK!
I live in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. It’s very interesting to see my home state from your point of view. Thank you for taking us along for the ride. New subscriber looking forward to more!
Terrific adventure. Another amazing find, and really enjoyed seeing the intriguing topography down there. Couldn't agree more about the satisfaction of overcoming adversity. I'm not usually very happy about things going wrong at the time, but they make some of the best memories later. :-)
sometimes they don't go as well as we hoped, but a bad day exploring beats a good day on the couch every time
I agree 100% my friend!
I just love watching your videos, helps keep my mind off the despair of whats going globally, the lies, the uncertainty, so thank you very much.

For sure! Yep sometimes the simplest classic campfire foods are just fine! Cheers!
I'm amazed at the degree of effort and craftsmanship put into the stone dwelling...
So interesting to me to think about that. The energy and time it took... Cheers!

Thank you. Really appreciate hearing that. Glad you enjoy the videos and can appreciate my style. Cheers!
What a great trip Casey! You are right, the excursions that go sideways are the ones we remember most.
Thank you. For sure. Really enjoyed this trip!
Perfectly good fire to cook the hot dogs, and you boil them. To each their own, but yuck.haha
That’s what I thought too, at least he didn’t put any ketchup on them 🤮
But at least he cooked the chili in that deliciously BPA lined can.
Who cares about the hotdogs, he ate plastic from the chili can.
Welcome to cancer town
lived in 3 corners of Oregon for 60 years. All ways wondering what our land looks like off paved roads. Thank you for ALL your posts.
Wonderfully done. Very enjoyable.

Awesome as always, Casey! So enjoyable! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The ghosts of the pioneers would question your meal.
"You put chili on a dog?"
No it's a chili dog.
Your dog is cold?
No it's my dinner a "chili dog".
Ha! For sure! Lol
Casey's dog is chilled.
