- Reupload of the vaporwave version of Dancing Queen due to UMG trying to squeeze every last penny out of fair use content. Glad I was able to save an mp4 of the song on my drive before this happened.
I remember one of the old comments on this being something about this playing in an empty mall while the world's ending. Frankly, that would seem like the ending of some interesting young adult novel that I would definitely read.
i wish i could write a story w this inspo, it would be about a group of 4 rebel teens walking around an empty and abandoned mall
they were just curious about what was in there, so they basically just chill around an old and abandoned mall and redecorate it :)
and maybe a tv would suddenly turn on and warn about the end of the world, so they all hold hands together and prepare for the afterlife.

That's exactly what came to mind with this song
everything changed when the bombs started falling. the whole world suddenly fell into chaos. now it's 6 months later and the world is an desolate, destroyed place. the city streets are empty, the freeways full of abandoned cars. every part of the old world is gone, and the few people left in the world struggle to survive. you travel from ruined city to ruined city in an old SUV.
one night, while you're scavenging through a mostly-destroyed house in the suburbs of a city, you come across the remains of a teen girl's bedroom. you glance past the blackened curtains and the burned stuffed animals and spot an old, pink CD player. you dust it off, pop in the disfigured DVD that's already in the slot, and press play -- amazingly, the sound pours through the speakers. it's disfigured and slowed down, but the beat is recognizable: Dancing Queen. you gasp. you haven't heard music in a long time. you climb out the shattered window, onto the roof. listening to the song, you lay down, look up past the burning, devastated city skyline and stare up at the night stars. you close your eyes and feel the warm breeze. tears stream down your face as you recall the past life and people you once knew, now just a memory.

idk why i love this soo much my grandma was born 1959 and she was turning 17 when this song came out, she told me that she remembers when her senior year her friends and her would dance to music that was playing on the street and this song came on and they had so much fun!

I had a nightmare a drunk driver collided with my car after I left a NYE party. I was ejected from the car and I landed in a snowbank. This song was playing from the radio as I stared up at the night sky and the falling snow. Only after I lost conscious did I wake up. I don’t do anything for New Years since having that dream.

@@steektete it was a game where you had to climb and stay on this tall pole that had obstacles (I remember something like electrocution being one of them, kind of like booby traps) and music would play, this song being one of them. If you fell off, or got killed by the obstacles, you’d be dead anyways. It would go on until one person was left. I won and woke up, not even kidding, I have really vivid dreams

You're a puppet moving side to side along with the beat, your smile is pined onto your face so you have no other choice but to smile at the crowd. As you dance you suddenly look at the crowd and see smiling faces back at you. You can't help but feel trapped and feel a sudden desire to escape, you look up at the strings above you and wonder where those strings lead too.
You then look back into the crowd still smiling and grinning at you, you watch them as they hop up and down and popsicle sticks. Your eyebrows dent, the crowd looks surprised and gasps. You quickly return to your original expression. Realizing this, you make a sad expression. The crowd gasps, stops dancing, and frowns at you. You hear a slice as the strings cut and you fall to the ground, you're left there as the room lightens up, the stage disappears, the curtains fade, the faces laugh and the room starts spinning. You can't help but feel humiliated and shed a tear, as soon as that tear falls off of your face you are then snatched up from where the strings were. (SOMEONE ELSE CONTINUE THIS :D)
