It's really interesting to see how this can be done with multiple nodes, but you use wrangs for such simple tasks. Is it more convenient for you or is it just better? Thanks
The best option is to go simple, I tend to make the mistake of vexing everything to challenge myself and hopefully help the community, but yeah, this can be done many different ways. Cheers.
You have very nice tutorials about Houdini. Can you explain better what you write in vex?. One can follow by typing the same you type, but it’s hard to understand the expressions.
I tried to explain the thought process, like creating a mask from the center and so on. The rest is syntax you will need to get familiar with. It might be intimidating at first, but it gets better the more you do it. Was there a particular part you didn't understand? Cheers
@ thanks for the reply . I don’t feel the syntax to be hard since I’ve coded python and c# before. It’s just hard to follow the process . After 3 wrangle nodes I’m out of the tutorial. But maybe I just need to learn more vex first.
Man, you’re essential for learning Houdini!

Same here. It's not all that helpful to see Vex being written without more detail explanation of the syntax.
can i get your color theme?
Sure, it's not mine, but it's here:
