    Welcome to Copenhagen.... Bring your wallet! XD

    • @Nubianette
      @Nubianette 8 років тому +8

      It's like most big cities. However, I love the food and you get what you pay for. Btw, I'm from N California, so I'm accustomed to higher costs.

    • @kristianbrandt3012
      @kristianbrandt3012 8 років тому +4

      +Nubianette Northern California may be expensive compared to the rest of the US, but it is still fairly cheap compared to cities like London, Auckland, Copenhagen, Oslo and Amsterdam.

      +Kristian Brandt "Bring your wallet" Why? This is the land of the equality of the sexes. Let the Girlfriend bring hers, just sit back, and chill - and pretend to be eye candy ;-)

      +paul weston that works if you're Danish or under 40. If you're American and are not chivalrous, you might be ok, but adds to the American male charm. Women don't expect it, but like it.

    If you only have visited Copenhagen, then you havent seen denmark I as Irish have lived 40+ years in Denmark and i can tell you, visit the islands, and meet the people. Copenhagen is like all cities, but visit the small islands as I live on , then you meet the true danes. If I said I dont take my key out of the ignition or my car sits outside my house with the keys in the ignition, or when i head to my lokal supermarket in Winter, over 50% over cars are running, while people are shopping. Turists are the only ones WHO Lock their cars. This for me is the real Denmark.

    Interesting. Enjoying the many comments. My previous post was deliberately provocative, and as part a social study it has fulfilled its role.
    Denmark is a great place and has much to offer. Unlike many countries, Denmark is a pioneer in freedom of speech and liberty. There aren't many places in the world that are like that.
    Many negative responses (not all well formulated) but interesting to see the passion of Danes.
    People believe in this country, and I love living here - and there are few counties where people are able to defend their sense of being.
    Tak til som har reageret på mit opslag.
    Danmark er et skønt land, elsker at bo her. Men husk jeres sprog når I reagerer.
    Det kan godt ende i en phd-afhandling

      lol way to go comparing the Danish government to a dictatorship that managed to murder 24 million of its own populace through starvation, death labor and massacres. ***** do you even math bro? the reason why we have such high taxes is to make things cheaper/free, and saying that everything in Denmark costs money is moronic to say the least sure you pay for it through your taxes, but try going to the US and break your leg now would you rather had payed 100-200kr. approx. a month to get it fixed for "free" or pay 20.000-25.000kr all at once? and the reason why alot of things are expensive in Denmark is because we have one of the highest minimum wages in the world, if things in Poland were as expensive as in Denmark only a miniscule percentage of the population would be able to live in the country.

      Det kaldes bare ærlighed... Og ikke en eller pyntet sandhed... Som sikkert bliver hyppigt brugt visse steder i landet.. :)

    It's all nice and shinning on the videos like that, but remember there is always two sides of the same coin. Not many places can beat a sunny weekend in Copenhagen, with lots of smiling faces and bicycles all around. But sun doesn't shine often in Denmark. Beers turn into urine and pukes all around when the clock struck midnight. And all the smiles hide the reticent narrow-minded personalities of the majority in Denmark.

      loameer Yeah, giving a refugee like you and your parents a safe haven without bombs falling from the sky, an apartment, free education, free healthcare and an income, so you don't have to beg on the streets is very narrow-minded indeed(how foolish we were and still are). You do know that you're allowed to return to your homeland of Palestine/Lebanon if you find that place any better!? Its ungrateful people like you that give your religion a bad reputation, but by all means keep up your work, you are only making it harder for yourself in the end.

      loameer Copenhagen is wonderful on rainy days as well! The weather is always soft, never extreme. There is always as nice dry, war and cosy place to go on winter days :-)

    Just make sure you aren't Jewish. The Danish Jewish community is rapidly dwindling due to an explosion of anti-Semitic incidents.

      J.A.Z.
      Committed by Muslim immigrants, NOT by Danes.
      Also explosion is a rather big word for some 10-15 incidents a year, though we can agree on it still being too many.

      It's not true. It was a single incident, which was blown up to something huge in the United States...
