Going out to Font Romeu may just be the best thing you could have done. You’ve clearly knuckled down and worked your back side off the past 6 weeks. You’re an inspiration to us all. Watching your UA-cam content and listening to your podcasts definitely contributed to me achieving my sub 3 run in Amsterdam only a couple of weeks ago. Go and enjoy the race and atmosphere.

Also, as a runner and as a psychologist I’ve appreciated your insights on psychological aspects of running! It’s a privilege to be allowed into your personal world and see that even a beast of a man with a world-class running economy also has doubts and makes mistakes, but also deals with it positively! Congrats Stephen. I took a huge gamble with my 21st Marathon 9th Dub. No proper prep just a few half marathons no long runs.Managed 4:32. I wish I had picked up your videos on the process. I am still very proud of getting the job done . I should have not put myself under pressure to run a marathon on little training but Still very proud. Process not outcome is something I've been starting to teach myself to focus on. Get out there and show up. Get the sessions done. Show myself I can do it and I'm capable of that consistency and that effort. If results come from the process then they're another part of the journey.

Mate you know how this works. Go out there and give it 100% with no attachment to the outcome because at the end of the day the time means NOTHING. It’s the act of running at your limit for 42km whatever that is on the day. And what a privilege, what a joy to be part of that! Experience it without fear, without attachment, let it flow and fly like a bird my friend ❤

I was planning on running it also but I have picked an LCL injury in the last week. I'll have to give it a lash next year and cheers from the side-lines this year :)
