Justin new great music and made great music!!! My heart goes out to his family.
I found him quite late but he touched me nevertheless.
talent comes with a cost sometimes. Addiction is no joke and I have been there so we will think of him this Sunday.
RIP Your great music will always be with us man!
I dont mean to be off topic but does anyone know a trick to get back into an Instagram account..?
I was dumb lost my login password. I love any tips you can offer me!
@Maximilian Garrett Instablaster :)
As a lifelong member of Earles chapel church , the family is in awe of how many people he touched in such a short career span. Hearing "they killed John Henry " the other day and the part he was talking about his grandfather died in Tennessee but the long road to Texas lay ahead.. could been said the same for jt. They put him right next to his grandfather .
Rest In Peace Justin..
My sentiment as well.

"Nah, he is like a slow cooking port shoulder, came out just right, just in time, to be tasty as all hell."
I met Justin at Norm's River Roadhouse's Normfest 2.0. The one before the flood with The Limitations and Dave Olney and Sergio Webb.
After his performance I ran into Justin, complimented him and gave him $20 for gas just coz he looked raggedy and broke and stopped me in my tracks with his set.
He walked out to his car and came back with his cd.
He was obviously his own man by then and appreciative of and gracious to strangers.
One of those people you meet, have a few words with and tell yourself to keep an eye out for.
Justin's talent and love were unbounded.
As Bruce Cockburn wrote " I have something I must give you today.
It only lives when you give it away."
@Kelp Farming shut the fuck up. you obviously don't know what it's like for someone to struggle with drug addiction. so piss off with your bullshit.
@Kelp Farming
i hear you kelp
tho i have swum in kelp in cali and hawaii
i never felt negative vibes
when wrapped in kelp
whatever your loss is or was
loss betrayal disappointment hurt
i have been there and get that
just not hate
your path aint mine
just know someone gets it
your perfect ass self is gonna wanna rest in peace one day
i bless you in that
and i bless you in your pain
@Kelp Farming
i hear you kelp about supporting bad behavior or delusion
thank you for raising the point that justin wasn't perfect and his addictive behavior hurt people
that part of a person's life is often lost or excused when they die
most of his fans or fans of other talented people never get to experience the other side of the coin
thanks for raising the point
there is no excuse for bad behavior or hurting others
including addiction, narcissism, love lost or war
i only met justin once
he was kind to me
so i have a different perspective than you
about the man
i do get your point though
someone had to say it
and i am glad you did
i doubt i would have liked him if he had blown me off when i said hi, i enjoyed your work, or in the depths of his addiction either
but i saw a light in him
an intelligence
a caring heart
a funny bone
a very talented musician and songsmith
anyway,
ain't trying to sell you on the man
just trying to validate where you are at
reply when you can
@Kelp Farming
and who or where did you hear any of that from?
leftists don't dig holes
hell they can barely be relied on not to shit on the carpet much less work for a living !
so i'm not gonna hate them or fear them
kelp
you mentioned schizophrenia in your reply
you also mentioned delusions
i have a nephew who is schizo as it used to be called
i love him
i don't love or even like his behavior sometimes
i love him though
i don't love or like his hates
but he sees the world through that lense
do you?
Missed his show many years ago and kept saying I would see him the next time he came through town. RIP
NRBQ is a local band for me, i've listening to them for years, since the mid 70's, Thanks for recognizing them Justin
I picked up that box set when it came out and it blew my mind. Played it for my baby every morning while feeding him
An amazing selection - and I'm on my way to hunt down Don Covay, the one who was new to me. Many thanks for this enjoyable 'tour'.
Rest In Peace brother... god bless
He was a bad ass glad to have met him was awesome person gave me some tips about his picking styles and who he learned from very cool 😎 but very sad to lose him so young
RIP JTE love you brother 🙏
He had great taste not unlike his Father. The amazing plethora of lesser known geniuses in American music are well represented by Justin here.
Roscoe Holcomb... enough said! RIP young man- be free...
He had some great taste, and quite a vast knowledge of music.
I love to play that Dr. John album LOUD ! Classic.
I miss jt he was and is still a beautiful person and musician.
I grew up seeing the Roger Miller box set sitting on the side of my dad's record shelf. That and the Robert Johnson box set. I don't know why but they always stood out to me
What a wacky and marfanic mix.
My Dad had a Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys box set.
Despite anything they ever did that we didn't understand, you and I were lucky that way.
Amazing list
some artists have great music but are assholes. I know you weren't an angel Justin but you were real. And obviously a good guy trying his best. You lived your music was you and were as honest as it gets. love you bro!
by the way your speaking voice is as cool as your singing voice
Nrbq? I followed rem around to see em. Pop staples was fantastic. Damn . I thought i was kinda sick. Sorry you're gone. Saw you open for your dad at the vic in Chicago. Damn. Just damn.
im in love
Sometimes these "What's In My Bag?" reveal surprising choices. Sometimes, like this one, they're exactly what you'd expect. Not that that's a bad thing.
Rip, Justin. Just good people
Good choices..
Dr. John's Gumbo!!!!!!!!!!
Steve Earles recent video on Rolling stone about Justin just crushed!!
Coolest guy going.
John Jacob Nile’s sings higher than Roscoe. I know I’d have Niles in my bag lol
Gotta love the Q!!!
New crush, most definitely. :)
Grand stuff. A Lot netter than may of these Amoeba folks.
MAGIC SAM
Quality Don Covay album
🙏 🦋
Eric played in his dad's band.
As well as the Blackhearts. He's a producer in his own right too.
Nah, he is like a slow cooking port shoulder, came out just right, just in time, to be tasty as all hell.
I thought my music taste was fairly hip. Now that’s all blown to pieces.
Insanely cute
Magic Sam wasn't shot, even thougt that would have been cool.. he actually died of a heart attack in December 1969. He was 32 when it happend.I guess dying from a heart attack at the age of 32 is pretty rock'n'roll too!
His voice sounds just like his dad’s, thought for sure he would of picked guitar town to go or the old man
Sorry about Kelley Looney being gone too. Nice guy. Funny. Met him at wxrt show @ Lincoln Park zoo.
JTE is pretty cute himself.
Yes JTE is!
he's not shy of superlatives but to be a fair it's pretty much all amazing stuff
RIP
Who wasn´t?
WHAT KIND OF HAT IS THAT?
What kind of hat is that?
haha yeah I think he was mixing him up with Sam Cooke
@Yesiamblind well i wish i was a folk singer with corn husks in my pants
Name drops Eric Ambel… awesome.
Eric 'Roscoe' Amble
Always though his music was the love child of Townes Vand Zandt and Sturgill Simpson
This guy was born 60 years too late.
Doing drugs is selfish.
ut's me or the 90% of the people interwievedin this channel are complitly unknowed?
He's like a hipster Robert Crumb.
Yeah! You're right funny too
I checked out his dad, Steve's WIMB last night; he went for jazz and rap and Justin here veered toward more the old-timey stuff--go figure.
lolllll yes but i have to add, an *attractive, hipster Robert Crumb
Yes yes
Rest easy pal
Considering his father learned all his bad habits from Townes, It's not surprising Justin digs "junkie songs"
This guy is so old school - i love it and him
rest in peace Justin your battle with addiction is officially over.
@Kelp Farming who gives a fuck? are you fucking perfect?
must be fucking nice🖕🖕🏾🖕🏿🖕🏼
must be nice to not make bad choices in life mr. perfect.
until you're an addict you'll never understand
and I have for for somebody's perfect as you you never have been
I'm pretty sure he initiated the battle.
Idiot
Hands down agree about Mavis.
i do believe!!!
Yeah he sure did like junky songs didn’t he😂
