Joe & Tom Check Out The Hollywood Saxophone Quartet

When Stu and Tom Pletcher came over to our house in early 1956, ostensibly to listen to Bix records and others with my dad, Joe Rushton, this photo I found from the same day reminded me of the group of studio reed musicians who had put out this amazing album called Jazz In Hollywood, by the Hollywood Saxophone Quartet. I remember my dad played this album a lot and really dug it. Apparently Tom did too, as you can see him here, reading the liner notes. Here's a quickie homage...
