  • I felt like my last video way too short to leave it as that, so I put this together to hopefully make up for it.
This is a speedpaint (+ random commentary) from the animatic "Jon and Bruno do the eye thing" for anyone new here. I had thought that the two had a few noticeable similarities after watching Encanto and wanted to do a quick crossover animatic.
You can check it out here: • "Bruno and Jon do the ...

Very understandable! I still struggle with anatomy most of the time (especially hands 💀). I’m definitely not a professional artist, but here are two tips that have helped me a lot personally:
      (1) Take time to study human proportions. This really helps to give the general idea of how each body part relates to each other in size and shape, and it can give you a better layout of limbs, faces, and (of course) hands. No matter the art style, understanding proportions and practicing them in your drawings makes everything much easier as you continue to improve.
      (2) Use references from photos of real people as you draw. This helps a TON for more complicates poses. While looking at other drawings for guides can help sometimes, its always best to take a look at “photography references” first before anything else, especially for beginners. That way you have a more solid idea of how proportions work in practice.
Wow, this was longer comment lol. I’m sorry if that was a little confusing. I’m not the best at explaining things, but there are many other talented artists on UA-cam that can probably give a better explanation if you need more info. I hope this can help you as much as it did me. Happy drawings! :DD
(Siento no poder traducir esto al Español. I only know a little bit of Spanish)
