Agree and disagree. I’d say it feels like the worst thing for the person with eczema to hear but it’s a very valid good intentioned saying because scratching WILL make it worse and make MORE of it. So, it is a very very justifiable saying when said with love ☺️ I’m grateful for my bf now husband, telling me to stop lovingly, every single time because I couldn’t have stopped by myself.
@@dawnforlife iv suffered all my life but when I was pregnant in 2009 it cleard up but now my daughter suffers really bad and I'm constantly telling her to stop scratching... iv turned into my mother 😂🤦🏼♀️ x
My eczema is kinda under control, but my skin is brown so the rashes leave hyperpigmentation. Not only does eczema make a person incredibly uncomfortable physically, but it takes a huge toll on the mind. I had zero confidence growing up. It’s like low self confidence comes with eczema. Stay strong guys :)
It must have been so difficult and frustrating, I can only imagine how much of an impact it would have had on you. I too had it as a child and I have what my mom calls "a chicken neck" (not smooth, with lines) and some pigmentation at the folds of my arms but as I grow older, it lightens over time with a healthy lifestyle. Like everything else on our body, they will heal over time if we give it some extra care and assistance. I believe our experiences makes us stronger and more compassionate if we let it. So, I'm happy you are aware of its impact because that is the first step to healing mentally and emotionally as well.
Asia Mitchell I know exactly how you feel, I felt so ashamed in Middle and HS couldn’t get far without people giving me the nastiest looks and saying the ugliest things.
Im the only one in my family who had the eczema..n when I see that my sisters can life a normal life...have beautiful and radiant skin....life is so unfair sometimes.....its so depressing.
Dear Wan, I know what you mean, I'm also the only child who had it before my younger bro who is 14 years younger than me was born. Both my sisters are fine too. But you have to know that with proper care and nutrition, you too can have a happy, joyful life. You are NOT excluded from that! :) God put us through these times so we can help and understand others in similar situations. It's for a greater purpose. Hang in there girl :) Sending you a prayer!
@@user-tl6lo9fl7w same my family just lives the luxury of the cleanest nicest skin everyone in my family can go get tan but I have to stay inside cus for some odd reason the heat makes it itchy and dry so I can't get tan and I'm made fun of so many things about my body cus of the condition
Eczema has left me so mentally and physically drained. I can’t leave the house before of how bad my insecurities get. When i even think about it I feel like crying. I hope one day my eczema goes and I can live life like I deserve to. Update one year later: I’m currently trying a medication called Dupilumab, I hope this is the one. So far I’ve went through azathioprine, methotrexate and so many more. I hope this one is the one.
Yes my dear, I know..I cried so much on my own but stay positive and take the right steps, which are the best steps you know how now, ok? Slowly but surely. Big hugs.
me too am trying everything - apple cider vinegar dead sea salt baths, colloidal oatmeal, extra virgin coconut oil aloe vera gel rubdown, strict bare minimum diet, bare bones everything, used ice packs a while they helped, gotta keep trying what works for some does not for others, I find doctors pretty useless they only know how to prescribe meds which are often detrimental, eczema atopy dermatitis results in out of balance epidermal pH that originates internally so gotta try and balance internal pH in our guts makes sense to me. let's keep working for solutions and share them!
I took my mother to 3 dermatologists in Oklahoma and they all told her the condition was not curable, only treatable. She dealt with this crap for 40 years, but then the internet came along and suddenly we had the knowledge of the world at our fingertips, so I started doing some extensive research. I found literature from an old school doctor out of the 1950's, that said excessive copper was causing eczema and he was curing people by lowering their copper with daily doses of zinc. According to him, his cure was blocked from being taught at the universities by big pharma. Then after the genome was mapped in 2003, they discovered a new form of copper, called free or unbound to ceruloplasmin copper, so I started researching this. It's a gene defect in the ATP7B copper binding gene, which causes a buildup of toxic unbound copper to build up in the body. Some of the copper is bound and taken out of the body through the bile duct, but not all of it, and this remaining unbound toxic copper builds up in the body over time. It can cause all sorts of problems, one of which is eczema. It also causes white splotches on the skin in some people, because toxic free copper destroys the melanin pigment in the cells. When a mother has a high free copper while the fetus is being developed, it sometimes causes asthma too. It took a few years of taking zinc for my mother to lower her copper and cure her eczema, and it never came back, because she continued taking 50mg of zinc once a day. While chelating the copper, she took 50 mg of zinc 3 times per day, 150mg total per day, one hour before or 2 hours after meals. It must be taken on an empty stomach, because food binds it up and renders it inactive. The copper test you need is not a normal serum copper test, but a relatively new test called "direct measurement of free copper", the test code at lab corp is 279071. You can get prescription zinc, but over the counter zinc works just as well. The problem with zinc, is it can be nauseating if taken on an empty stomach, even the prescription form. I tested a bunch of brands and types, and now foods zinc picolinate is the least nauseating. It doesn't matter if it's zinc gluconate, zinc picolinate, etc. all zinc salts will block copper absorption and also chelate copper through intestinal cells. Zinc is a primer for metallathionine in intestinal cells, and it has a high affinity for copper. It absorbs the copper into the intestinal cells, and since the intestinal cells turn over every 8 days, and new ones are created, the old copper laden intestinal cells are sloughed off out through the stool, and the process starts over again. This is how zinc chelates copper from the body. It's slow, but one of the safest ways of decoppering the body. Don't take the old copper chelating drug penacillamine, because it has some nasty side effects. It doesn't bind the copper, it just mobilizes it from the tissue and sends high amounts of copper through the kidneys. It has also put people into a permanent vegetative state by flooding their brain with massive amounts of copper. With zinc, it may take 1, 2 or 3 years to lower your free copper to a non toxic level, depending on your age and what ATP7B gene mutation you have. There are over 400 mutations identified so far. One thing that is almost as safe as zinc, but much faster, is a compound called ammonium tetrathiomolybdate (TM). It consists of sulfur and molybdenum, and can decopper a person in 8 weeks, but it must be administered by a doctor, because you'll need weekly anemia tests. Since it's sulfur and molybdenum, you can have a compounding pharmacist make it. If you have eczema, your whole family needs to have a free copper test done, regardless of whether they have eczema, because this is an hereditary gene defect. Not everyone with a high free copper gets eczema, but it can cause alot of other problems. Groups of people with Schizophrenia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Lou Gehrig's, and Tourette's have been tested and all have shown to have a high free copper. A usage patent has been submitted to the FDA to treat and cure people with TM, but that was submitted over a decade ago and it still hasn't been granted. The reason you can have a high free copper in your blood, and not have Schizophrenia, Parkinson's etc. is because your blood brain barrier (BBB) is intact and keeping the free copper out of your brain. In schizophrenia, they are born with a defective BBB, but in the old age diseases the BBB deteriorates and becomes permeable when people get older, which allows the toxic free copper to enter and short circuit the brain. Don't expect to find a doctor that knows this, because their curriculum in medical school is controlled by big pharma, which makes huge donations to the universities. They block cures from being taught, because the big money is in treating, not curing disorders. If someone can be cured with OTC zinc, they lost a cash cow that is no longer buying monthly medications to treat the condition. High blood pressure is also caused by a high free copper and can be cured with zinc, but they're making billions from people taking blood pressure pills to treat the condition. It's all about money, and these big companies don't want you cured, only treated daily with their medications for a lifetime. I almost forgot, if you have a high free copper causing your problem and not a vitamin D deficiency, which can also cause eczema, be sure to get on a low copper diet. The 2 highest copper foods are liver and shellfish. Chocolate mushrooms, avocados and nuts are also high in copper. The reason a low vitamin D causes eczema in some people, is because vitamin D regulates the immune response. When vitamin D gets low, the immune system goes haywire and attacks the body.
Thank you so much for this information ... This is really eye opening ... And as an exzema patient myself I was too depressed today so I was searching online for some exzema stories that other people may want to share ... And as I was watching her video I was reading comments and seriously if this works ... I would be so thankful to you for my whole life ... If their were more people like you who genuinely wanna help people this world would have been so different ... And pleasant to live in ...
God bless this comment Jim! How good it feels to have someone tell me that eczema is curable and not only manageable is hard to describe. Thank you :) 🙏
If you sweat or get itchy because of that, try to just let your skin breathe, at least wear loose clothing. Don't worry too much about how people see you though it may be uncomfortable@@willidilly6576
I’ve had eczema ever since birth, I’m currently 14 and I’m having flare ups all over. Thank you so much! My eczema has gotten worse after all the steroids. I cry all the time because I’m so insecure about my legs and my arms. I’ve gotten bullied when I was little because of my skin. Ive never worn shorts to school. Thank you for all these tips.
Hi Bella. I'm 46yrs old with eczema. Over the years I found out how to avoid flare ups. Try cutting out soy and soy products. A lot of processed foods have soy in them. Use free and clear laundry soap and softener. You will have to go natural and chemical free with most of your products.I believe you may also have dry skin. So keep your skin moisturised at all times. Good drug store moisturiser is CeraVe . Hope this helps.
I developed eczema on my face at age 30. And I went to the doctor, etc and nothing worked. I got depressed and wouldn’t go out which made it worse. I started looking at diet changes starting with water fasts, intermittent fasting, etc. And it didn’t help. But after I watched your channel and started eating more cooling foods it cleared up in days. Literally days! I want to thank you so much. You saved my life. You have no idea.
@@ewankow2648 I changed the type of food I was eating, I don't eat eggs, tomatoes, oranges, kiwi or any citrus fruit, hot sauces, soy sauce. Glute and dairy products will cause flare ups so I avoid those as well. I eat chicken and vegetables like broccoli, bell peppers, cucumber. Organic foods are the best for me. I use Cetaphil pro eczema-prone skin moisturizer and Aveeno shower body wash and if any flare ups occur I take 2 Aerius tablets for any allergic reaction that might occur. I recommend you to watch what you eat! Good luck and hope this helps you!
My eczema started when I was 1, and I’m almost 13. It started around my mouth, but when I was 3 it started on the creases of my arms. When I was 5 it went to my hands and when I was 7 it went back to my arms and for a solid 5 more years it came back to my face and is currently hitting all the places it’s ever been. Eczema was something some of my classmates were scared of and would call it rabies and run from me. My childhood is full of medicine and itching. Not only do I have eczema but I have plenty of allergies and asthma to top it all off. The doctors think why my eczema moves so much is because not only is it eczema affecting it, but I have contact dermatitis. If you are suffering with eczema and are insecure about it, think back to this comment and know your not the only one.
I'm in the same boat as you but only have atopic dermatitis. I'm 20 now though, but flare ups happen in cycles and get really bad. It's important to stay on the cleanest diet and get vitamins a,c,e, and d. It's not fun to always be mindful of triggers (allergies, moisture, and stress) but your mind and body will thank you.
I’m so sorry about your childhood. I have eczema too. Started as a child and during teens it just stopped. Now as an adult in my 20’s it’s back and worse than ever. I have it on my hands and other places currently. I had it all around my eyes a couple years ago. Try switching to free & clear laundry products if you haven’t tried that yet. Coconut oil has been working nicely for me recently. When you get out of the shower apply to wet skin (no towel drying) and try not to scratch. Hope it helps. 😊
God bless you for being so kind, sharing and compassionate. My heart gets filled with warmth when I find videos of people who just want to assist others with no intention to earn a buck on it.
I just want to say that I go back to watch this video every now and again throughout the months and years. Long ago I had it so bad from neck to ankle, the oozing, the flaking, all of it. Your videos on eczema saved my life, I thought I was never going to live a normal life again and cutting out dairy gluten and soy plus taking a good prebiotic healed my body. I come back to this video to regain my strength and motivation to heal when I've overdone it and get a rash again. Thank you for sharing, truly.
@dawnforlife thanks, especially after seeing 8 different doctors and they all gave me so many different diagnosis, medications, cortisones, that didn't work meanwhile all I had to do was watch your video and keep things natural. 🙏
Yay! So happy for you Nick! But remember that not all gluten are bad and when your stomach has a wide range of good bacteria, organic/whole ancient grains are very good for us too :) Thanks for your message and have a lovely Sunday!
There is good research to support anti-inflammatory diets improve psoriasis. The research also shows there are 8 triggers for psoriasis: alcohol, smoking, inflammatory diet, stress, fatty liver disease and excess weight and viral activity. I spent 11 years trying to figure out how to clear/cure/get rid of my psoriasis. Not knowing what the research says on how to effectively treat psoriasis naturally. So I made a video called "How to treat psoriasis according to science - How I cleared my psoriasis". You can click on "align and inspire" (my channel name) to see it. I have been clear (no symptoms) for 4 years now. Love to my psoriasis family.
My granddaughter has eczema on her little arms just small patches. I wish I could switch places with her. My daughter does and excellent job tending to it. But I hate seeing her playing and then stopping to scratch her arm. She's only 1 years old. Other than that she's a very happy baby. I told my daughter take her to the best Dermatologist, spare no expense. We have found the best Doctor in Florida. It has gotten better but the Dr. Said for us to be patient we would see good changes. So far there are improvements, but we all just want it to go away. Thank you for the video.
I'd just like to say, please try not to use steroid creams on her until she is well into adulthood. I grew up using and abusing steroid creams because dermatologists here prescribe steroid creams willy nilly. It led to my withdrawal, the most torturous experience of my life. Just something to keep in mind, even if steroids are not currently being prescribed for her right now.
Thanks for the encouragement! I've been going through the worst of it right now with new eczema flare on my face. All I've been doing is crying in front of my doctors. But hearing you say that my body wants to heal is super helpful. Will try and keep a positive outlook! Sending positive vibes to everyone else suffering too. :) We can do it!
Thanks for this video.. I would just like to encourage everyone who has eczema reading this that eczema CAN be cured. You just have to be patient. I had severe eczema. My full recovery took around 2 years and my life style habits were almost in line with this video. I started eating ORGANIC, pesticide free vegetables, eating clean, plant based, and stopped using steroids. Afterwards recovery followed. The road is tough but recovery IS possible.
Dandelion Root tincture is the magical cure for eczema. It supports the liver to heal and cleanses the body and omet dairy. Thank you for your beautiful video. I had crazy bad eczema as a youth and dandelion root changed my life.
Every natural ingredient seems fine except for the lemon juice...the citric acid can actually make things worse as it can leave a burning sensation on your skin, causing your skin to get itchy and irritated...I mean unless it worked for you, ignore me, but people like me who also have eczema noticed that fruits with citrus acid severely irritates our skin.
Sometimes our bodies are either overburdened with toxins and just cannot detox well. Just try to follow my tips and I hope you'll see some improvement!
Omg thank you for this video. My DRs tell me my eczema problem is "in my head" & has nothing to do with my food & environment 😒 I've been going through hell all my life not knowing how to stop the cycle. So glad i found your channel 💞
I was born with eczeema, same as my sister because my dad has it too. I don't have any liquids coming out or anything like that but my arms and neck are so dry and itchy. So thank you so much for these tips!! I'll be trying them out
You are most welcome! I hope it helps. Some toxins and heavy metal can be passed down from our parents/grandparents and we have to try to reduce toxins to help us heal especially when you had it since birth, your gut bacteria probably wasn't diverse enough. I'd love to know if you feel better. :)
I've had skin problems my whole life. Ringworm, eczema, acne... It's been bad for so long. I need to focus on healing my skin from the inside this year. Western medications alone are not working...
Wow you are so strong to have endured all of that and I'm so proud of you to take your health in your own hands. I wish you well and I hope I can be a constant inspiration with more healthy eating/lifestyle videos :)
I can feel ur pain ,my skin has suffered a lot and it’s still suffering, have tried everything nothing has worked ,acne ,eczema,I have all the problems I can name that includes skin
For me the best tips to healing was positive thoughts and cutting out certain foods. I like to be hopeful because I know that I always manage to heal no matter how bad my skin gets. It’s been tough cutting out foods and I must admit I am only just beginning to take it more seriously. I have to be very cautious of what I eat but the one fruit that really helps me is papaya. I love eating it and I find that it soothes me and helps with inflammation. I am working on cutting out alcohol, reducing dairy and sugar intake and of course spicy foods.
I don't have eczema but once I reached 60 my skin became more itchy, even a little scratch would inflame and itch like crazy. All the tips you gave are excellent so thank you! People need many different approaches and you covered so many. This video deserves a million views.
My eczema is the worst.....I had it on my face and my whole body for 15 years ( my age now) I can never look people in their eyes and everyone makes fun of me at school ...I reallyyyy hate my life......not just because of my face only but because of people around me saying it's disgusting and thinking they'll get infected..... only us people with eczema understand each other's pain.... I hope we all get cured.... I'm so happy for you... now you can live like a normal person 🙂...thank you for the advices i was so desperate ❤️
My eczema was really bothering me while I watched this video but you’re positive attitude and soothing voice really helped me. Thank you so much for this blessing!! 💖
One thing that my dermatologist suggested is to fill a small plastic bottle with water, chuck into freezer and roll the frozen bottle it on the itchy parts whenever needed. Do it for 5-6 minutes. The cold condensation really calms the skin. Especially after a bath.
yes I agree our body will heal itself I've been there. I had eczema for how many years and after not eating gluten food for 3 months and choose organic food as much as possible I can see the difference and I am now eczema free. Love your content. New subscriber here. I will share this to my daughter
Yay!!! So happy for you! Do know that when your digestive system heal further, gluten food, when well prepared can always get back into your life, if you want of course :)
Thank you so much. I have been eczema so many years. Recently this year I got gastric / Gerd and anxiety. During treatment I avoid a lot of foods which triggered my Gerd . What I realised that my eczema healing so much. So your video helps me so much to make me more understand about my issue.
Lovely, intelligent, caring lady, thank you. I healed my eczema in a similar way, all diet related solutions.... cut out gluten, all dairy, hot spices, night shade vegetables, grains and drastically reduced sugar intake. Feeling so much better
So happy for your Jojo! And thank you for sharing lovely comment! Know that once you heal, you can slowly reintroduced good quality ancient grains/veggies..etc if you like. Sugar can stay out most times. hehehe
Yep, just for anyone wondering. SLS is the foaming agent in products even in toothpaste. So if you find the skin around your mouth is irritated or dry, try switching to another toothpaste that does not have this agent.
I have eczema on my hands , arms, neck, top of lip, and behind knees . It’s sucks I have too stay wearing long sleeve shirts and pants never shorts I hate it ! It messes with me both physically and mentally. Thankyou for your help 🤍
Hey Kally, try to put your skin first, if it feels better wearing shorts, do so and let your skin get some air. I know people will stare but put yourself first and stay positive, you will get well. I had it on my entire body :)
I am currently having one of the worst eczema flare ups possible. I have chronic eczema and have suffered from it since the age of ten (the past nine years). My eczema affects my arms, legs, stomach, back, neck, face, and hands (pretty much my entire body excluding my feet). The pain I'm experiencing is almost unbearable. One of the most difficult parts I find is not the outward appearance of how it looks to others (although I did used to get very upset about that during my younger teen years) but the horrible impact it has on my daily life. Attending university can be incredibly difficult as it's almost impossible to concentrate on anything other than the itch, pain, and heat. I'm desperately trying to find methods of managing my eczema as conventional methods haven't worked for me in the past. The comment section, and this video, are both reassuring that I'm not alone in my suffering of eczema, although at times it can often feel that way
Oh Hannah..I feel your pain. If you can get a naturopath doctor to guide you along, that would be easier for you. Regardless, I hope you'll find your way to healing real soon. Keeping you in prayer
Every time I wake up I find blood on my sheets, it has spread to the rest of my body, not just my hands, it's very severe, but when I stopped chocolate, I started to improve rapidly, I hope there won't be a re-lapse..
Yes! I'm happy you found the "culprit". Do check out my eczema foods to avoid and also eczema healthy foods to avoid video. Hope you will find healing real soon! ⭐
I just want to thank you for this video. It’s the middle of the night, I can’t sleep and I just stumbled upon it in my suggestions and had to watch it and take notes. My boyfriend has had a horrible life. He is a heart transplant patient so he has it rough as it is and about a year ago developed terrible eczema. He can’t sleep at night and is truly miserable. We both are and it has been so frustrating because we’ve bought so many products and they either don’t work or make it even worse. He’s been to allergists as well as countless trips to the dermatologist, prescribed so many different drugs and creams and ointments and nothing helps. I’m praying your suggestions help. Thank you again. You really give me hope. Your skin is beautiful now and you are so positive about the whole topic. Thank you thank you thank you
Thank you! I feel I have almost won over Eczema/Atopic Dermatitis and your video convinces me that I can cure it and not just manage it. Thanks for sending those positive vibes :) :)
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO!!!! I've been struggling horribly 😫 I hope this helps me. God Bless You!! I will come back with an update when I heal, hopefully 🥲
Hey, looks like you may be on the right track if you are looking to heal naturally from inside out :) Sometimes it may feel very lonely but if you read through my eczema video's comments, you'll see you are not alone! And many is on to healing even after years of suffering. Wishing you well, and all the best! You can heal. Remember that.
Ive had my Eczema 1 week ago and got infected. Dont use lotion to moisturize especially scented ones. Now im healing and the things that helped me to fight dry skin and itchiness are daily taking of Cetirizine, avoiding food that can trigger itchiness (dairy, fishes) in hygiene, using Dove for moisturizing with bath towel to massage lightly the area to clean dry skin. After shower, within 3 minutes ill apply Canesten (anti fungal) then layering in with moisturizing lotion that can moisturize and heal weak skin barrier (Cetaphil). Hope this helps.
Hey Miguel, I appreciate your sharing but Dove/Cetaphil has a lot of chemicals which may make things worse long term, the other two products I am not familiar with.
Thanks for your courage words sister, im struggling from eczema and its painful, and i dont feel so confident at first. But after saw your video i have a hope that i can cure this disease
Hey Aldo, thank you for telling me. It gives me joy to be able to give you hope even just through the screen! Wishing you very well. I know it can be hard, but eat well, smile and have patience! :)
Hey@@sreevidyakeloth1507, I'm not a doctor and I can only share from my own experience. If you've suffered so long, I suggest you visit a naturopath or a good Ayurvedic doctor. For the information from this video, perhaps it may help if you turn on the subtitles on the bottom right of the video which says "CC". Get well!
I have eczema and I think this video really helped! My mom took me to the doctor and he disagreed with some of the stuff you said. But you can always try something new! Thank you so much!
It’s true. Having this skin condition is super uncomfortable :( I’ve had eczema since I was 4, and it lessened when I was around 13 years old but never really went away. When I started college stress made me itch a lot again and I couldn’t be confident as I can be in college because of my skin. So great to finally find a youtuber who talks about these things
Thank you so much for this video. I have eczema since 2007 and it keeps spreading with time. Its now all over my face, neck and back. It becomes very severe when am ovulating. When it starts to heal, the affected area becomes dark and then it reappears all over again. It burns and its super itchy any time i walk under the sun. I'm an African and the sun is almost always out it makes me so uncomfortable. Its really frustrating. It drains me mentally and physically. I have very low self esteem because of this i dont go out and i avoid everyone because i dont want people looking at my strangely and asking questions i don't want to answer. Just this month, i had suicidal thoughts because i couldnt live like this any more. I am already struggling with other things in addition to this eczema issues, it was just too much for me. Thank you so much for this video it really helped. Seeing you speak about your journey is really inspiring and i believe i will also be healed. Thank you and God bless you.
Hey..I know..it can be so so draining feeling helpless and hopeless. I hope you will find healing soon or at least headed the right direction. May God bless you and may you continue to find light and know that God allow suffering to happen for a bigger reason that we may not yet see. I will keep you in my prayers and I pray for healing and peace for you.
Your video was encouraging to watch! I agree with you and believe that our bodies want to heal! Thank you so much for taking the time to make this and share your journey. God bless you.
i used to have eczema, my doctor gave me a sort of lotion to moisturize my skin, and since then i don't remember having dry skin or bleeding. also i absolutely understand what you mean by that liquid that comes out of your skin. it's extremely annoying and makes my skin sticky.
I cant go out without covering my skin. even if its a 34 degrees day. i cover my legs and arms because i feel disgusting. I always wear my sweater at school no matter what. i try control my habit of sweets but i just cant. I feel ashamed.
Oh..I understand how difficult it is when people may stare and be afraid. But first, remember this, you can control your habit for sweets. That is your new mantra. Just start telling yourself you can instead of you can't. And slowly make small changes. Want a sweet? Maybe snack on some raisins or dates or berries or any fruit you like. Watch my other videos because your body is working to keep you healthy. Try to take small steps, to love yourself more than how your legs and arms look. If it makes you more comfortable physically, just go without a sweater, let your skin breathe. Prioritise your healing over what others think, because real friends will leave you and if your friends do, you know it's better to know now than later. Big hugs
I have it on my feet....already avoided foods that made it itchy...now need to.moisturize it once in a while so the skin wont breaks out...hoping to heal soon.....
Thank you so much! I have had eczema for 12 years. I tried steroids and now it is back and nothing really worked, I did take medicine again because I really couldnt tolerate it anymore but if is a slow process and I want to make a change and heal it myself. So I'm gonna try and live healthy and abide by your tips... THANK YOU EVER SO MUCH! good luck to everyone trying their best to self heal♡ Let's do this!!!!
Remember, some days it will feel very hard but one step at a time. I will try to post more videos to help make healthier easier with simple meals and simple baby steps that you can take. I will try to share on instagram too if you have it.
@@dawnforlife Thank you so much for replying!!!! And yesss I would loooove to hear more from you! I do have Instagram and will follow you! THANK YOU SO MUCH! Your positivity and encouragement really does give me hope and makes me want to hang in there. Not even the doctors understand when I say it is really hard not being able to sleep and have an unbearable itch. But seeing how you have faced it head on is really inspiring♡
Hi Dawn, thank you for this video. I've just started looking for experiences from others, so this was very helpful. From what I figured out on my own, stopping alcoholic drinks and stopping to use soap has really helped me. Good luck everyone, stay strong. Don't forget you still have a life to live, even with this discouraging disease.
thanks im ten and dealing with eczema and realy dont like it kids at school stay away because they think its contageous even tho i tell them its not they still stay away this video helped me alot
I have cuts and scares from scratching my arms, legs, and neck It really sucks because there’s a red spot on my neck from it and it really sucks because I sweat there.
I remembered how itchy and painful it can get. Take it slow and try to stay positive and do the best you can to support your body. Focus on what you can do and try to keep a calm mind to promote healing too :)
Dawn, your videos are soooooo helpful! thank you so much. i've been dealing with eczema my whole life i am not twenty and always thought i would neber heal 100% but your videos are really inspring me to be better to myself again so thank you!
Thank you SO SO MUCH for this video!!! I feel better already. And YES, GOD/YAH is more than able to deliver us through a proper diet, and other things along with remaining STRESS FREE! But, thank you very much again!
I think I have something similar to the condition you once had. I thought it was called eczema but my doctor called it dermatitis. The thing is, my rash comes and goes but it's very common for the rash to be present in the spring and summertime. Right now, the time of year is spring and I am noticing rashes as usual. I remember first noticing my skin condition in 2011 and since then I have had it. In 2015, I had the same condition and I wondered if diet had anything to do with it. So I first eliminated gluten and dairy and my skin got better. However, when I started eating these foods again, the rash came back. I got rid of gluten and dairy the second time and the rash still did not go away. I think I did veganism in the summer of 2016 without eating gluten and my rash still did not go away. It's common for the rash to appear under my belly and in other areas. This year, I relied on creams and it does its job so I am wondering if I have to eliminate more foods? My doctor gave me some recommendations about certain soaps to use and avoid to benefit the skin which I am doing. I am also using a moisturizer known as CeraVe but it's not really doing the job. Even if I use creams daily the rash will not go away. I asked my doctor how I could get rid of this rash permanently he told me there was nothing I could do to get rid of my skin rash other than using the creams. Do I have to eliminate more foods besides gluten and dairy? I do not want to deprive myself of vital nutrients and starve myself to death. I will watch your videos and hopefully follow your advice to permanently get rid of my rash.
I was crying watching your video. I have that on my fingers and feet. I feel embarrassed at times in public forum. I ate from left hand and people use to ask if I burnt my fingers on right hand during dinner. I use to wear bandages on my fingers. Thank you for sharing the video and it was helpful.
:( It must be so hard but remember to prioritise your healing instead of what people think. I know it's hard but if it helps to air them instead of hiding in a bandage, let it air, people will look, people will stare but most of the time, it's because they are curious and have no clue. Try not to take it too hard ok, big hugs.
I’m only 8 minutes into the video but I had eczema as a child all over my body and it went away with some cream from a herbal place but you can’t get it anymore I normally got a rash on my scalp from stress the past few year it would go away once I was stress free of exams but now I’m 17 in my final year of school and exams, tasks and projects are a big thing I broke out on my legs in October 2019 and we’re now in February 2020 and it’s on my chest, belly, arms, neck, thighs, legs, behind my leg, foot ect it’s everywhere I’m trying so many creams e45 eczema is helping a lot currently but I’m hoping once school is over it will go down it’s knocked my confidence so much I hate showing my chest now:( it’s embarrassing when I get out of the shower my skin feels as if it’s on fire I don’t even use soap anymore witch helps a bit ugh idk what to do anymore but hopefully watching the rest of this video will help
I agree that stress can trigger skin problem, every after bathing my arms and legs are having red spots like a map and those parts will become dry skin, so far itchy is still bearable, I was so stressed about it and when someone told me not to stressed myself out because, stress is the very root cause of having a cancer, I changed my mind set not to think about stress, just positive thoughts it somehow lessen the redness, I'm a type of person who have trust issues about seeing a doctor. I hope everything is gonna be alright.
If you want to heal naturally, see a functional doctor =) Try some meditation too. It helps you take your mind off it. Let me know if the meditation I posted helps. If yes, I could make more and if not, do give me feedback on how I can help you =) Wishing you well dear!
thank you~ I have been struggling with papular atopic dermatitis.. aka.. mystery itchy bumps- eight doctors, the light box etc.. my relief and path has been a whole foods vegan diet.. when I think I can eat "something" ie tortilla chips or movie popcorn..I am itchy and bumpy for weeks..... thank you and your skin looks beautiful
Hey..thanks Suziferer! Yes, a whole foods plant based definitely helps with skin problems. Really assist our bodies in detoxing and having to work less hard with additional burdens (heavy metals, chemicals..etc). Thank you for the compliment, I hope yours will be history very soon :)
Smart girl! Yes I hate when doctors say your body is attacking itself...our bodies don’t attack ourself. I started using skin food on my daughter & it’s really helping. Little greasy but it really locks in the moisture so I think that’s why it’s helping.
I cannot even begin to tell you how much I can relate to this video. When I was little, my eczema wasn't that bad but then I moved to Texas. The heat and humidity aggravated my skin so my mom took me to the doctor. They filled me up with a bunch of medication. Nothing worked. In fact, my skin just got worse. So my mom and I decided to quit the doctors visits and quit the medication. The minute I quit the medication, I went through a serious withdraw that almost killed me. I couldn't get out of bed and this weird clear liquid would start gushing from my skin. All of this was happening when I was in fourth grade. I lost a lot of weight. I got to be a double 00 and even then the clothes fit me too big. I would spend days not eating and just sleeping the days away. It was difficult for me and on my whole family. Thankfully my mom and I changed our approach to handling my skin and it paid off. So I won't lie to your face saying it wasn't hard but it was definitely worth it. So thank you for making a video like this that explains the struggles of having eczema. And telling people that they should try the natural route. Thanks
Hey Cole, your message brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for sharing your story and for taking the time to tell me that my video served its purpose. Grateful for you and wishing you continuous good health!
Cole Vallejos Hi Cole! What did your mom and you do in your own approach to heal your eczema? My son is almost 7 years old and just started to have eczema 7 weeks ago (1 week before Christmas). Our dermatologist only told us to do the medium strength steroid ointment (Triamcinolone 0.1%) when he gets flared up. The steroid ointment works but he gets flared up 3-4 days later. I am very frustrated but we will see a food allergist next week. Thanks!
Hi Dawn! Do you have a simpler version of instructions that could heal eczema on young kids? My son is almost 7 seven years old and just developed eczema 7 weeks ago! His eczema is not as bad as yours, just itchy and little bumps all over his upper body. He does have asthma and peanut allergy since 2 years old. The new blood test for his food allergy came out that his peanut allergy turned to 6! Nothing on 4 & 5, few things on 3 which are soy bean, sesame seed & kiwi, few things on 2 which are wheat, hazelnuts, almonds & cashew nuts. Should I cut them all out on his diet? We are going to see a food allergist next week and ask for a more accurate food allergy test (skin prick test). My concern is the soy sauce in Chinese cooking and wheat which includes bread, cakes, cookies, and other snacks since he is only a little kid who enjoys sweets and snacks. I am super frustrated right now and all we can do for him is to apply the medium strength steroid ointment 2x a day for a few days, he would get healed for a good 3-4 days and then gets flared up again. Help! 🙏🙏🙏
@@mosquitosho蚊 Hi Shirley, Im 16 years old and my eczema is basically gone. So what my mom and I did was get an allergy test where they injected me with several things on my back and we figured out what could possible cause a flare. So we immediately cut those foods out. I would personally recommend cutting out dairy and GLUTEN. Gluten is definitely a killer for my skin. It would be good to just cut out any foods that can possibly cause your child any discomfort. I eat keto/low carb type of foods. So I no longer eat any dairy, things low in carbs and completely stopped eating dairy. Lotion wise, my mom made my lotion for many years. If your son now just started exhibiting eczema I recommend using the Shea moisture lotion. This is what works for me. But I would stop using steroids as a whole. As your son grows older, I would then slowly introduce the food that caused allergies and see how well he deals with them. But I think your focus for now should just be to avoid any possible flares. I hope my advice helps.
shirley ho yo Ms.Shirley I’ve had eczema for a longer period than ur son as I’m a bit older and just my friendly advice u shouldn’t look for more simpler steps because this is honestly as simple as it gets yes it takes some work like giving a clean diet for a few months but you should definitely follow all the tips and I’ve heard her stress the importance of the diet part so maybe u should consider keying in on that Thank you have a lovely day 💙
Thank you for this positive video. I have eczema on my hands mainly and it stops me from doing the things i want to do and it does get me down. Every day is a battle to get showered and function in activities that most people take for granted. Sending positive vibes too. 💕
Lots of great tips! My toddler has suffered with eczema all of his little life. Some of my favorite products for him are: Aveeno eczema cream, Cerave creamy oil, Cliganic jojoba oil, Aveeno Cica Ointment ... Fragrance free is the way to go, with everything that might come in contact with eczema prone skin! Have a great day 💜🖤💜
I was born with skin asthma and eczema, it was "cured" before I had the ability to think. Now in this pandemic it came back and I don't know what to do since I was treated when i was a kid, I have no guide. I was only told to take care of myself because I am old now. I don't know what to do :( I thought i was the only one who's sad because of this disease, im glad to hear your story :>
Akimo aloe Vera gel + organic coconut oil as a moisturiser is a thing of beauty. It’s 97% natural aloe Vera in a bottle so it’ll last longer than the plant. Had dry scalp and eczema and it’s slowly going plus cleaning the gut with green juice everyday will quicken the process. Day by day usually increase in confidence.
I am from India and my eczema is in between I am using homeopathy medicine, ayurveda and some steroids if it's too much and it's now working out. My soln is to purify your blood, switch to yoga ayurveda. Drink aloe vera, giloy, neem and please avoid sweets, dry fruits, I will prefer to be vegan and use less salt and spices its really works out.
The tips Dawn has given are amazing. For me I had dry patches which would feel scaly and flare up in the same areas. Honestly drink 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil a day. This method will start working in just one week! I'm a pharmacist and studying my masters in immunology. Trust me when I say this works!! IF YOU DONT BELIVE ME I CHALLENGE YOU ALL FOR THE NEXT 5 DAYS DO THIS. Good luck and thank me later haha!
Hi..is it okay if the olive oil is in chocolate/baked goods (made myself)? It's not very palatable haha. Also, i thought the usual advice was to consume coconut oil (just some studies and videos I came across)..do they have similar effects? :) Thanks for the tip btw
Lemyka cream and manuka honey cream helped me a lot to moisturize my skin while healing after eczema on my face (around eyes, especially). I am allergic to fragrance apparently but I think to more than that...I am better right now but I get flare ups unexpectedly all the time...just started to learn about it since it has been worse recently...Thank you so much for sharing!
I have severe atopic dermatitis since my childhood...i m 27 now home bound ...hate doctors ...they just lie..I do use topical steroids still..when it really bleeds and cracks...trying to go without ...life is really difficult... Your skin really looks beautiful and flawless...wish to get there soon..
Hey dear..so sorry to hear that, must be so frustrating and difficult. Hang in there ok? Try to eat well balanced whole foods and check out that serum I mentioned. Really helps with cracked skin. Wishing you well and always here to listen. Hugs.
I relate a great deal of what you went through. My arms , neck , back, tummy and thighs are covered in eczema. I would give anything to heal it. I can’t sleep at night because it stings. :( I’m going go follow your advice!
Hey dear..it's sooo frustrating and painful. I wish you all the patience and positivity you need! You'll get there. Take it one step at a time, get an Ayurveda doctor to assist if you can! =)
I have it in my whole body too. The liquid coming out, skin shedding all over, the feeling of itchiness around the neck and everywhere and you just do not know what has to be done. Where and how long would you itch. I know that feeling where everyday tasks seem to be difficult and life seems to be fucking you up and we giving thoughts to end it up! Damn i feel you. I am also trying out the detox diet. Hopefully things would get better❤️ I feel so good seeing you healed🤗 hugs.
When I watched this I started to cry because I've had it so bad. For some time I couldn't even see my eyes were so swollen. It just nice to see that somebody is going through the same thing.
Thank you sister for sharing your beautiful knowledge,. I live in London. I've been suffering from a severe eczema on my face, neck and arms for months. Ive tried doctors prescribed medicine, followed dermatologists and expert colleagues advice but nothing worked for me. I started Chinese medicine treatment since last week but i did not uderstand the root cause of my problem until today. You truly understand the root cause - ive watched two of your videos. Our prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, the nearest meaning/tenslation, "for every disease Allah has sent down, He created cure for it, whoever is aware of it is aware of it, whoever is unaware of it is unawre of it'. If you study the Islamic teaching carefully, its about eating less, the right food, eating fruit, detoxifying via various means, relaxing by Remembering Allah (swt) a lot regularly and consistently (both in good and bad times) prasing God, being grateful sincerely from heart, balancing both spiritual and worldly life etc. I belive Chinese treatment for various diseases are in line with Islam. Im really tired of hearing, from Western 'experts', eczema is about 'managing' and 'its not curable'. Thats utter nonsense. I must say you're an intelligent person. I hope to learn more from you. Kind Regards, Amin Ahmed
dawn for life in Switzerland My daughter is the one with atopic dermatitis. Her itching has gotten out of control.😔 Your video has given me hope again!💙
The serum your mom got you: Luminesce by Jeunesse.. you said she was a member at that time. Can you add a link in the description (& here) how we can get it from the same source. I tried your other link for Luminesce that is linked to Amazon. There are a lot of bad reviews that say it is a knock off & bad product or discolored, or expired. Bad reviews from people who said they have used the real product so they can tell it is a knock off brand and not the real thing. How much did she pay for it, & her membership? Thank you so much
I’ve had eczema for four years. I don’t know how I got it and I thought it would eventually go away. But it hasn’t! So depressing. I HAVE tried creams, juicing, changing my eating habits.... when I sweat or if it’s hot I am miserable and my body Temperature is always warm or hot
Wow, I just want to say Thank You for creating this video. I have eczema and I did feel hopelessness. I did on coconut oil and it stopped my itching slightly. Every suggestion you made I have written it down and I plan on using your advice immediately. I pray to eliminate mines the way you have destroyed yours. May God Almighty send many blessings your way for making this video.
Hey Teresa, thank you for such a heartwarming appreciation. It's truly my pleasure to be of help on your healing journey. May you be granted with patience and trust in your healing :) Always remember that healing is not linear, so trust your body when you are doing the best you can :)
Wishing I had seen this earlier, but still glad I found this info. Thanks for sharing! I hope you are living your best eczema-free life (like I know I will be doing very soon)!
Dear sister, I have ezcema and what you said was pure truth and sound advice. Two things you missed were 1) do yoga and exercise regularly 2) avoid smoking and drinking
The worst thing someone can say to someone with eczema is " stop scratching "
Agree and disagree. I’d say it feels like the worst thing for the person with eczema to hear but it’s a very valid good intentioned saying because scratching WILL make it worse and make MORE of it.
So, it is a very very justifiable saying when said with love ☺️
I’m grateful for my bf now husband, telling me to stop lovingly, every single time because I couldn’t have stopped by myself.

Big hugs, wishing you healing and peace!
It was really tough back then, but things are looking brighter now 😊
I"m so happy for you@@Asia0Lee! :) Much love to your healing!

Eczema has left me so mentally and physically drained. I can’t leave the house before of how bad my insecurities get. When i even think about it I feel like crying. I hope one day my eczema goes and I can live life like I deserve to.
Update one year later:
I’m currently trying a medication called Dupilumab, I hope this is the one.

Brandon Roberts did you ever try it and how did it turn out?

周旭明 I’m actually allergic to dairy
I think that aloe vera, straight from the leaf, helps to cool down your skin and moisturize it. Hope this helps👍
Can't wait to cure my eczema, been struggling with it since I was born. Wish me luck!

Good luck and hope this helps you!
how long your eczema last?
U still got it now?
halo halo. Yes I do. It’s on my face, neck, and hands.
Vivian Provo :( bless u
I’m so sorry about your childhood. I have eczema too. Started as a child and during teens it just stopped. Now as an adult in my 20’s it’s back and worse than ever. I have it on my hands and other places currently. I had it all around my eyes a couple years ago. Try switching to free & clear laundry products if you haven’t tried that yet. Coconut oil has been working nicely for me recently. When you get out of the shower apply to wet skin (no towel drying) and try not to scratch. Hope it helps. 😊

Thank you so much for sharing, it means a lot that my time spent sharing has brought someone so much hope and healing
@dawnforlife thanks, especially after seeing 8 different doctors and they all gave me so many different diagnosis, medications, cortisones, that didn't work meanwhile all I had to do was watch your video and keep things natural. 🙏
The body's natural state is to heal! Thank you so much for sharing :) I was able to cure my psoriasis by going on a plant-based and gluten-free diet
Yay! So happy for you Nick! But remember that not all gluten are bad and when your stomach has a wide range of good bacteria, organic/whole ancient grains are very good for us too :) Thanks for your message and have a lovely Sunday!
when saying plant based what did you specifically eat?

Hey Katquizzity, thank you very much for your lovely comment. I appreciate you taking the time and super happy my video served its purpose :) Big hugs
Thank you so much. I will let you know by July.😄👍🏽
Thank you so much!
I will let you know how my eczema.😄
@@starsaint god bless thank you
Thanks for the encouragement!
Hey Robin! Thanks for sharing your experience! I'm sure your encouragement and faith is very much needed and appreciated here =)
I am crying.... so glad i found your channel!! Im in so much pain right now. My eczema is so bad!
I find that oolong tea really helped my eczema rashes. It visibly reduced redness and irritation in 24 hours
Not surprising as oolong tea is one of the few "Cooling" teas in Ayurveda :)
Dandelion Root tincture is the magical cure for eczema. It supports the liver to heal and cleanses the body and omet dairy. Thank you for your beautiful video. I had crazy bad eczema as a youth and dandelion root changed my life.
Im about a month into making my own balm.
1. Coconut Oil. 2. Shea Butter. 3. Honey 4. Lemon Juice. 4. Aloe Vera....helping some but slowly it seems
Sounds like a great balm!
Omar Scruggs does this really work? Do you know what kind of eczema you have?
Every natural ingredient seems fine except for the lemon juice...the citric acid can actually make things worse as it can leave a burning sensation on your skin, causing your skin to get itchy and irritated...I mean unless it worked for you, ignore me, but people like me who also have eczema noticed that fruits with citrus acid severely irritates our skin.
OMG! Story of my life and we didn’t ask for this. I have no idea what is triggering
Sometimes our bodies are either overburdened with toxins and just cannot detox well. Just try to follow my tips and I hope you'll see some improvement!
Omg thank you for this video. My DRs tell me my eczema problem is "in my head" & has nothing to do with my food & environment 😒
I've been going through hell all my life not knowing how to stop the cycle.
Ohhh Mochi Trash, I'm so glad I could helped! Wishing you well dear.
One thing that my dermatologist suggested is to fill a small plastic bottle with water, chuck into freezer and roll the frozen bottle it on the itchy parts whenever needed. Do it for 5-6 minutes. The cold condensation really calms the skin. Especially after a bath.
This is soo helpful. I'm researching for my boyfriend who's suffering from a serious case of chronic eczema. So thank you. You're the best !

Sugar can stay out most times. hehehe
So what did you eat on a daily basis? I’m ready for a chance.

Yep, just for anyone wondering. SLS is the foaming agent in products even in toothpaste. So if you find the skin around your mouth is irritated or dry, try switching to another toothpaste that does not have this agent.
Yup =)

Girl I’ve had severe eczema my entire life ur blessed
lucky.I've had eczema since I was born,so it means I have eczema for 13 years
Ive had my Eczema 1 week ago and got infected.

Big hugs

Your energy is so calming and sweet ☺️ thank you for this
I was crying watching your video.
Whatever natural that works! :) Wishing you and your girl patience and a journey to healing :)

Have a great day 💜🖤💜
Totally with you! Fragrance free world is the way to go. SO toxic! Have a lovely day to Andrea! Wishing both you your little boy healthy and well.
You have a lot of great insight on the matter and I was encouraged to share my own eczema story on my channel ❤️ thank you for your transparency
I was born with skin asthma and eczema, it was "cured" before I had the ability to think.
Now in this pandemic it came back and I don't know what to do since I was treated when i was a kid, I have no guide. I was only told to take care of myself because I am old now. I don't know what to do :(
I thought i was the only one who's sad because of this disease, im glad to hear your story :>
Same. Very strange, I wonder if the pandemic has had this effect on more people.
I feel you. And my mom is not here anymore 😭
Love your positive attitude 🥀
Thanks Rahima!
Thanks for sharing! Wishing you continuous and complete healing! =)
Thanks for sharing Fiona :) Would love to see feedback if someone on here tries it!
Hi..is it okay if the olive oil is in chocolate/baked goods (made myself)? It's not very palatable haha. Also, i thought the usual advice was to consume coconut oil (just some studies and videos I came across)..do they have similar effects? :)
Thanks for the tip btw
I tried it but ended up diarrhea sitting at the toilet all day is not fun.
Thank you and you speak the truth on how my skin feels and pray your tips work for me
God Bless you for information ❣️
Hey Jennea! May God bless you with healing and comfort! Wishing you well and just sent you a prayer :)
I am thankful that I only have it on my one middle finger and between some fingers.. it's not that bad, but I want to cure it before it spreads
I wish you great health and skin soon! :)
Mine eventually spreaded to my wrist and arms 🥴
I have severe atopic dermatitis since my childhood...i m 27 now home bound ...hate doctors ...they just lie..I do use topical steroids still..when it really bleeds and cracks...trying to go without ...life is really difficult... Your skin really looks beautiful and flawless...wish to get there soon..
Hey dear..so sorry to hear that, must be so frustrating and difficult. Hang in there ok? Try to eat well balanced whole foods and check out that serum I mentioned. Really helps with cracked skin. Wishing you well and always here to listen. Hugs.
Thanks you very much for this ideas, I have been safar with Eczema more then 3 years, God bless you dear.
Thank you for letting me know this helps. Gives me joy for every person I can give hope to 🙂
I relate a great deal of what you went through.
Hey Heet Shah, it makes me so joyful to hear that it gives you a glimmer of hope and light. Keep positive! I wish you well soon!
When I watched this I started to cry because I've had it so bad. For some time I couldn't even see my eyes were so swollen. It just nice to see that somebody is going through the same thing.
Sending you positive loving vibes, Ziah. You are not alone and we ALL are designed to heal. Remember that. Big hugs.
Hey Amin, hank you for sharing your views! I hope I'll continue to share something useful to you :)
@@dawnforlife thanks Dawn. Will continue to watch your videos . Thank you sister.
This video was absolutely AWESOME!!!! Thank you Dawn!!
Happy you found it useful Jessica :)
dawn for life in Switzerland My daughter is the one with atopic dermatitis. Her itching has gotten out of control.😔 Your video has given me hope again!💙
Thanks for sharing, I m on my healing process .
Wishing you well and you are welcome! :)
Wow,
I just want to say Thank You for creating this video.
May you be granted with patience and trust in your healing :)
Always remember that healing is not linear, so trust your body when you are doing the best you can :)
Wishing I had seen this earlier, but still glad I found this info. Thanks for sharing! I hope you are living your best eczema-free life (like I know I will be doing very soon)!
