We took our son's toy guns away as well. My husband is a cop so we do have guns in our house. I don't want him to see these guns as a toy and I don't want him to think he could just pick one up and start shooting someone. Obviously ours guns are locked in a safe where none of my kids can find them or reach them. But we do want to take the precautionary step. He has so many other toys so he hasn't even noticed that the guns are gone. I didn't feel comfortable with him pointing a gun at people and saying "bang bang" and then having them pretend to die or get hurt. I think it's good that you did that for Ollie! There are plenty of other toys he has to play with.

Guys you dont really have to turn on water for Finley.Theres an app called white noise its the pink one and it has like a bunch of diffrent sound effects on it like water dripping,wind,rain ect.Anyway I think its really cool and definitly recommend it for Finley.☺

I've now organised my nap time to coincide with your vlog time. Nap time may sound strange for an adult, but I have a disability and linked with the poor resting times I have with pain, and meds, means I get to watch you guys at 5pm UK . I think that you are a brilliant family and a good role model for other families out there.

Finn just looks so confused most of the time, and its the cutest thing.
I understand completely about getting rid of the guns. However boys just tend to gravitate toward those kinds of things. My son picks up straight sticks and pretends they are guns. He turns his crackers into them. The best thing I can think of to do for us (not saying you have to and I apologize in advance for the unsolicited advice) is to let them have their fun with them now and to make sure and triple check again and again to not let children (for obvious reasons) around real, loaded or unloaded, guns. Kids will get to an age where you can explain to them guns are dangerous and not for playing with but in the meantime they are innocent toys. Personally I wish guns didn't have to be marketed as toys since they do carry a stigma and are very dangerous weapons but they are and there isn't anything I can do about it now except wait for a time when I can explain it to my son.
Sons of Anarchy was a really good show. You guys should watch it.

+austen pyles actually my daughter watched all seasons with us she was a little over 1 when the series finale and we never had a problem with her watching it, no being mean or violent, no cussing, no nightmares or anything.

I don't condone a two year old handling a loaded weapon, but if conversation is started at a young age about proper use of ALL weaponry (including knives), a lot less accidents and mindless acts would happen. The weapons used in murders didn't hurt the victims, the people handling them, with lack of weapons education, did.
Look, I'm not trying to start a gun debate. I see their point. I have a 19 month old myself. I'm born and raised in California. My family has a military background, and they also hunt. I would rather educate my children on weapons safety then instill fear.
