Ty. I hadn’t paid close enough attention when I took apart my rotary blade and couldn’t t figure out what side of the guard the blade needed to be on. Lifesaver 😋
One might assume the guard is on the outside of the blade. I should have noticed the wear was on the outside of the guard. Thanks for the excellent explanation.
Can someone explain the difference - if any - between Prym and Olfa? I'm trying to buy a PRYM cutter, because I've heard good things about that brand. But on Amazon, it says 'PRYM' and then when you look carefully at the packaging, it says OLFA on both the cutter and the blades. Some customers are complaining that they got a cheap knock-off cutter with OLFA and Japanese packaging when they wanted PRYM. Are they the same brand? I want a really GOOD cutter and not to be cheated by some knock-off counterfeit brand (as sometimes happens on Amazon if you're not careful).
This is stupid. In 45 mm there’s a plastic cover. I will never buy this again it’s impossible to put them back together again without manual. Ridiculous.

No WONDER my blade felt loose and wonky! LOLOL I had everything backwards. Thanks for setting me "straight"!!
Very nice explanation, thank you
Thank you!
Can anyone tell me if you can buy the little washer/spacer separately? I have lost mine somehow.
I have everything put together right, and screw is tight. The blade has a bit of a wobble. Anything to do about this?
try turning the nut (last step) over with flat side up. It works for me

My 28 mm blade has numbers around it. What is that for?
Any tips on how to discard old blades safely in the trash?
Make a "sharps" container from plastic coffee can. cut slit in lid, duct tape lid shut and you have a secure container for all your sharps.
Just discovered my rotary cutter had the fittings on the wrong way round, with the nut on my blade, seems to work ok though...
Cowboy hat up or down?
In the upright cowboy hat position.
