Exactly. I thinks that's what we are witnessing. She still loves him. That doesn't just go away. But she's adopted a more logical approach to the situation. And decided that its best to be frds with him and at least be able to see him regularly. Than to be in a toxic relationship with him and have all the problems that came with it. I think after 9 years of trying she already knows him well enough to know he isnt someone that can settle down long term. He needs variety. She already knows it will never work. So at least this way she can hang out with him but she gets her needs met by other men. Its not a bad set up. Plus I think when you put a guy in the frd zone he likes you more. Especially if its the type of guy that u already know wont commit to you. She's just playing it smart.

I think he loves her as an ex and as a mother and still has some attraction but he loves the 19 year olds more. Gross but that's my opinion. Absolutely. if youve watched the progression of their relationship since they separated, scott clearly wants back in and she's not budging. He's incredibly flirtatious with her and even told her he loved her.. Scott very explicitly expressed that the demise of his relationship with his then girlfriend, sofia, was due to him prioritizing Kourtney (not something anyone would do unless they were very clearly still into their ex). It's like he subconsciously sabotaged his relationship with sofia because he felt like the person he really wanted was all of the sudden available. Whenever people in their circle tell scott that they're soul mates, you could tell it makes him happy. She on the other hand, has seemed veryyyy indifferent (if not, completely turned off) to anything romantic with him for the last few years. I think at this point in their relationship (in this clip), she might have been re-attempting since they were both single and in a healthier psychological and emotional space for the first time since their separation but I guess it didnt work out seeing that theyre both currently in relationships with other people. Kourtney potentially with someone that she could have a more lasting relationship with. All that being said, i dont believe scott's flirty behaviour is ill-intentioned or misleading as he very explicitly expresses his desire to be with her romantically.. and her response is always underwhelming to say the least. I'd say he's the vulnerable one between the two that deserves protection. I really think he wants a family (especially since his parents died and he has no family of his own). The kardashians are the quintessential family in hollywood. Theyre an empire worth of power (and no denying, they also love each other very much and have fierce loyalty to their own) in one family unit and im sure being apart of that provides a lot of security (financial, emotional etc.). And Scott surely craves that. I think that's a big part of the allure and attraction he has continued to have for kourtney since their separation.

@@AnthonyRecenello Yeah so scott has really wanted it for yearsssssssssssssss. But kourtney didn't budge- she is just so jaded. In another episode he tells kourtney that she will marry him one day. And Kourt is like--- orrrr you can work on yourself. I think Scot deeply deeply hurt kourtney with all of the stuff he did... and it might be to the point where its just not healable in a way where they could have a relationship where she 100% trusts him. Like- if you watch more episodes anthony I think you may notice this lol!

I completely disagree, as someone who watched the show for years, he has literally said that he would marry her right here right now if she wanted and she kept refusing. I think Kourt just enjoys the flirting but doesn't think much about it, while he's always been very open about how much he love her and how he thinks they're meant together.

I must say, I disagree. There is a clip where Kourtney and Scott discuss his break up with Sofia. In that clip he is *not* flirting, nor teasing nor anything of the sort. Au contraire, he was engaging in serious discourse with Kourtney and due to the content matter of that conversation, we are able to witness his nervousness as he _tactfully_ ( and I stress the term 'tactfully'), asks Kourtney _what their future will look like, and what _*_she_*_ wants for them._
By purposefully _asking_ if they will "just continue as they are, travelling the world together, living together and growing old together", " he points out the absurdity of not _being_ together, and thus insinuating that they _should_ rekindle their relationship and just be together. This conclusion is further validated when one is to consider how it follows from his former statement, that being that he essentially broke up with his girlfriend due to Kourtney, and emphasized how _she_ , (Kourtney), will always come first. This is a fact that was made lucid to both Sofia and Kourtney.
The statement signifies his intentions and where his heart lies, no man would ever prioritize their ex and openly tell their new gf, that their ex comes first no matter what, unless he has strong feelings for the ex, and most quintessentially, it demonstrates how he is *not willing to let go of those feelings.*
It is one thing to co-parent, and another to place your ex over your current partner, openly. No woman will ever marry Scott, or stay with him, if his ex will always come first. Your ex should not be the number one woman in your life.
Lastly, notice how towards the end of that clip when he questions Kourtney as to their future, he does not exhibit his usual confident demeanour, but rather he appears insecure and afraid. Scott still very much cares and loves Kourtney, however he is cautious of the situation, as is Kourtney, who in turn gave a non- sensical reply in that clip, one that even confused Scott, fundamentally because she was caught off- guard.
Absolutely!!!! The entire progression of both of his romantic relationships has kourtney at the centre. She's in a relationship, he follows her by being in a relationship. She ends said relationship, then that significantly affects his own relationship to the degree where it becomes cause for his relationship to end. And now seems like she's in a relationship again.. and surprise suprise.. so is scott. The second Kourtney tells scott she wants him back, he will drop everything and everyone in a heartbeat for her.

100 % true, he still expects Kourtney to come to him and he's using the kids to come close to her, Kourtney was babying him for ten years and no woman has done that since, so he wants that life again
I am rooting for them later on life, as they are both in relationships right at the moment. But I am hopefully they will be together in the end. He has truly changed all his behaviors for her and the kids.

I actually disagree. From everything I’ve seen of the show, it seems that Kourtney is disinterested at this point and is trying her best to be friends with Scott for the sake of their kids. Scott is the one who drops subtle hints of wanting to be with Kourtney, but she stonewalls or laughs because she doesn’t know how to react/for the sake of keeping her distance and not crossing boundaries. If you see the first part of this clip, even her sisters agree that Scott would be with Kourtney in a heartbeat, but not vice versa

I think Scott is deeply connected to Kourtney on a familial level, not necessarily a romantic love. With both of his parents being gone, I think his relationship with Kourtney and her side of the family is a bond he could never break, no matter who comes into his life romantically and not just because he has children with her. He gets the family support and love he needs from all of them.

I agree completely. I think Scott likes having Kourtney around as a friend and mother, I think he likes flirting with her and reminiscing, but I don’t think Scott is going to settle down with her anytime soon. They were together for so long and have 3 kids, but at this point I think too much time has passed and too much has happened and Scott likes being a bachelor too much.

wait for once I think this was the complete opposite reading of what's true! at 3:22 when he said "purely platonic" it was very obvious to me that he's saying that in an eyeroll type of tone that translates to "if I had it my way, this would 100% not be purely platonic" which is why she's laughing about it

Kourtney enjoys the way Scott makes her feel. Plus, I think that she's enamored by the idea of a two-parent home for her kids, especially given how much she loves and prizes being a mother.
Also, Scott has changed A LOT from who he used to be. You can argue that he's now the man that Kourtney always wanted him to be. I don't think she ever really wanted to break up with him, she just had to because of how toxic Scott was and how much it was hurting her kids. So now that he's being a good dad and is way more mature, I can see how she would want to get back with him.

It's the other way around. Scott would try again in a second. He's said as much, multiple times. It's Kourtney that continues to shut him down.

I feel like they do still have love for each other and Scott would get back together but Kourtney still doesn’t fully trust him and keeps herself guarded. I can see them getting back together when the kids are older or adults and if they are still single. I don’t think it’s gonna happen in the near future though
Honestly I think they both want to be in a relationship together, but dont know how to express that in the right way (considering their history). But, you can tell Kourtney still loves Scott and Scott has said multiple times that he would marry Kourtney as long as she was down.

If Kourtney wanted to go back to Scott, she would have it whenever she wanted. the one who plays with him has always been her but it is because he is very unfaithful.
From the beginning of KUWTK Kourtneys been more invested and serious about her and Scott's relationship and idk if that is because of their age difference or what, but Scott's put Kourtney through a lot with cheating and making her feel insecure in the past that I think over time Kourtney kind of realised that she shouldn't take Scott's flirtation seriously. It's sad because Scott is so inconsistent, there's episodes and interviews and times when he talks to Khloe or Kim where he wants to have another child with Kourtney but ultimately he's just not invested in the relationship and I think Kourtney knows that. Besides they're working great as co parents and their kids are happy so I just don't think they'd risk that dynamic by getting back together.

I don't know if you watched keeping up with the kardashian, Scott and kourtney were always soul mates. They were always drawn to each other. However despite Scott proposing to kourtney several times, she never agreed to being in a marriage because of her fear of divorce like what her parents went through. Plus on top of that Scott had his many many many periods of crazy which scared her into commiting to him. So what you see is two people who genuinely love each other but unable to be together because of their own personal self barriers. Scott will always be trying to tackle kourtney but he will always be faced with rejection or a put off kourtney. Kourtney on the other hand will have her moments of being all giggly with Scott but knows that Scott is sleeping around with all these young girls so she isn't sure if he will be fully committed.
Scott has mistreated Kourtney so many times. It really makes me angry that her mother and sisters push her to reconcile with him. He has proven time and time again he can’t be trusted. I am so happy she is finally in a good relationship because she deserves to be happy and Travis seems like such a good man. Relationships born from friendship really are the best.

I really like their dynamic honestly they used to be pretty toxic but I think as they’ve grown you can see that they really do have this beautiful friendship and they do share kids together I think they both would be great together if they tried again because I think they’ve both matured a lot but I feel like they probably just fit as friends better then relationships

I think kourtney has gone through so much with her family talking down to her that she developed a low self esteem and shows traits of narcissistic behaviors. She thinks Scott is obsessed with her despite all that he put her through in his actions. . She’s clearly delusional and loves any attention she gets but likes to act like she’s the level headed one. Scott knows exactly how to play with her. I think they are toxic together.

I feel like Scott will always be willing to give it another chance and Kourtney knows that, she plays with the idea of it, and then when it starts feeling a little too real, she gets uncomfortable and pulls back. Anyone who has watched the show, knows that Scott is deeply in love with Kourtney and will always feel like she’s, “The one who got away.”

I actually have the complete opposte theory. Scott and his ex girlfriend Sofia Richie broke up BECAUSE he kept putting Kourtney first and also the kids ofc but like he would put Kourtney first as well and understandably Sofia couldn't handle that and they actually talked about it on the show. and he knows how badly he messed up and there have been many times before sofia when he was single that he would often insinuate them getting back together or dating or other flirty things but ofc after Sofia he stopped and I think now when he talks about why cant it be that perfect white picket fence story its more him guarding his heart and in a mature way showing growth saying he can clearly understand it is complicated and UNDERSTANDS that its gonna take A LOT for Kourtney to say yes. I do agree with you that Kourt finally seems like she wants to try with him again but he has been pining for he rfor so long and I think he heard no from her many times and he's finally at a place where he won't pester her about it until he knows it wont bother her if he asks which I think like you said she is open to it now so we will see.
His defense mechanism is the flirting. He flirts but then quickly makes sure she knows its friendly so she doesn't get spooked maybe? but also does not put them COMPLETELY in the friend zone despite his words his actions are more flirty because he is nervous to go too far and make her retreat.

This video brings to light that men have a very difficult time picking up on uncomfortable laughter. Kourtney clearly feels awkward when she thinks that Scott may be behind all of this. Anthony perceives this to flirting when it’s actually a woman who feels uncomfortable and out of place particularly because she has a boyfriend but women are trained by society to be amicable and passive. It’s actually concerning that Anthony thought she was flirting when she’s clearly uncomfortable.

The day Scott decides to get his head out his ass, it’ll be too late and she’ll be married to Travis. Travis is too persistent and knows what he’s got. If he wants her back, he will have to prove it to her because of her connection with Travis. I do believe they’ll get back together because of what Kourtney still sees in Scott. I was married to a serial cheater like Scott and my relationship with his reminds me of these two. I love my ex and he is the father of my babies but I DONT TRUST HIM. With that being said with no trust there is no us. He and I have moved on but he always flirts with me and even sends me romantic songs along with asking for pictures of me. Did I mention he is in a relationship! Yeah, these kinds of people never change. How can you trust someone with a history of substance misuse and cheating allegations? He always lets her down. When when she was pregnant with Reign- she was having to worry about Scott and whether he should go to go rehab. Of course she is friggin cautious!

He knows it’s not gonna go anywhere and I feel like it’s just to pass time in hopes that one day Kourtney will be ready, but I think he’s messed up time and time again which makes Kourtney really guarded. I’m rewatching there show and in the earlier seasons Kourtney defends Scott against every single one of her family members, only to be let down and embarrassed by Scott over and over. I do think she still has feelings for him but I think putting herself first and protecting her heart is more important to her

I really feel like even though both are in seperate relationships with someone, both lowkey still love each other and cherish whatever they still have for each other after so long. Though I also can't ignore Kourtney's subtle face expressions of how she looks at scott which kinda looks like she wants him back. Idk that's what I see. It def seems one sided, but Kourtney does emotionally manipulate his feelings for her to her advantage definitely. Like she has this power of him that she is aware of, which is why I think they are ultimately better apart. When they were actually together it was nothing but Scott disappointing her over, and over, and over again.

Honestly I don’t think any of them necessarily want something to happen, but they like the idea of the other wanting them, especially Kourtney. I think she likes the idea of Scott wanting her, but has no interest in him. With Scott he is very flirty but I don’t think he honestly wants to get back together either, but I don’t think he would object if they did.

Honestly watching other recent footage of them Scott has openly expressed he wants to get back with kourtney and she has openly rejected that so I think she is just used to Scott trying things with her all the time . And Scott flirts but also acts like it’s not a big deal because he wants to test the waters without being embarrassed if she turns it down
