Of course you should raise your children in a big city, this shouldn’t even be a question!! In a big city, the children have more access to extracurricular activities, can interact with many different types of people & will always have the independence of being able to go wherever they want without needing their parents to drive them around for every little errand. Kids who’re raised in big cities tend to be more cultured, knowledgeable about the world & have more economic & social opportunities once they reach adulthood.
@@cities4ppl Thanks! I plan on doing extensive research on the impact of urban/suburban sprawl on mental health. That’s an area I feel does not have enough attention in the urbanist space. Much of this loneliness crisis is heavily attributed to car-dependent infrastructure.
i mean, i don't consider a small yard to be a downside. A big yard is nothing but work if there aren't other kids your age to play with in the neighborhood. And once you get old enough, even an above average yard can start to feel small anyway. I'd have much rather been in an apartment or townhome with no yard that was walking distance to a large (or even average sized) park.
