- Chris Edwards goes fast and big, although not the most technical street skater he sure had a great formula for contests. And a real crowd pleaser. 1996 X Games 2nd run in the finals.

and i still skate wearing my '90s super baggy outfit...skinny jeans skaters thought i was being ridiculously very un aerodynamic ...well old habits die hard...and to all 90's skaters ......I SALUTE THEE...
I can't see skinny jeans being comfortable at all to skate in. I liked having the free movement and the air flow! Even to just lounge around in. Shorts were just shin suicide, I think i skated in them only a couple times ever.

Gosh, i remember watching this back in the day on T.V!! Chris Edwards...oh man, he started!!
I know! it's crazy, this was the first time I had ever been curious about what blading was like back in the day... and Learned a lot by watching lots of oldschool videos.. Definitely excited for the future of blading. It gets more and more rediculous every day almost.
Google Chris Edwards(was the first) Arlo Eisenberg was there as well. Then it was a bunch of other people Randy Roadhouse and Latimer. Don't forget Senate, 976, Medium, Rise Above...... those were the good old days "kill all hippies"

Its true. When I first started, way back when the Rollerblade Tarmacs and Roces Streets first came out, if you could frontside any "hand" rail, you had some talent. The NISS contests (although very cool to have around) were worse than this even. Can't imagine what another 10 or 20 years will bring.
Rollerblading we’re the days! Until I got my dad on my face 😂 that was it for me today at 27 been playing adult league hockey for 8 years been fun!!!

Imagine chris haffey, or Cj wellsmore.. rolling down a ledge on one foot in a serious competition... Haha everyone would be like "What the fuck was that?" Back in the 90's aparently it was extremely impressive. We've come so far. :)

FWIW, even way back in '96, I thought that roll-in was whack. I mean, I can't talk shit since I suck, but I was like "WTF was that?!?!" Same with that toe tap thing.

Dude always had the worst style! Just skated fast and sloppy. He got pushed out real quick too when the new breed of skaters and tricks came out. He couldn't keep up. Faded out QUICK
